  1. Gives new meaning to the term "NFL Draft Bust"
  2. 1. Luck 2. RG3 3. Kalil 4. Blackmon 5. Claiborne 6. Kuechly 7. Barron 8. Gilmore 9. Floyd 10. Richardson - I almost think you have to take him if he is there...but I would NOT be happy.
  3. I think most of us here can see that the Bills are a boarder-line playoff team this year. 9-7 or 10-6 should be our goal. Next year is Playoffs or Bust for us. We are entering our 3-5 year window to win it all. Now, its a tough decision...are you willing to Ride Fitz for those 5 years? If the answer is Yes, then you DO NOT draft Tannehill. If the answer is No, then you need a QB. But the last thing I want is another QB controversey (which WILL happen if Tannehill is taken). Based on the contract Fitz signed last year, I think they are willing to ride the amish rifle. Lets get another peice who can help us in the next 5 years. My vote is Kuchely, although Kalil, Blackmon or Clairborne would be hard to resist if they fall.
  4. I think you have to drop Richardson off of the list. Even if he is available at #10...i cant see us picking him.
  5. Maybe a good model would be to have us come off a buy and play them, then the reverse happen later on in the season...
  6. This just seems unreal. This happens every year. Simply amazing.
  7. The real scary part here (for Fans anyway) is that it seems that both sides are willing to kill the goose to get the golden egg. Alot of the things which make the NFL exciting and fun to watch are being removed or restricted. Celebration penalties, kickoffs, hard hitting, actually hitting a Qb, etc. I worry that at some point the game will be pretty safe, but it wont be any more fun to watch than an ultimate Frisbee tournament. Did you see the Pro Bowl this year? I fear that is where we are headed. My time and dollars will go elsewhere if its not enjoyable to watch.
  8. Its a fine line. Where do you draw the line between the inherent risk assumed as a basis of employment and the employer not taking adequate precautions to protect their employee. If a roofer falls off a roof, is his employer liable for his medical care? Does the answer change if he wasnt wearing company provided fall protection? Does the worker have the right to sue his employer? Does that answer change if the employer did not provide fall protection? Its admittedly a fine line, and im not sure how far waivers go if the argument is that the employer (NFL in this case) is not doing all they can to protect their employees. Thats negligence, and most liability waiver clauses (i assume) do not apply to cases of negligence. Even if they do, i doubt it would hold up in court. Dont forget about Spiller!
  9. ...and what happens to the onside kick if they do this? ...and then why not get rid of Punts too? It fundamentally changes the game. I hope they dont do it. They are worried about the liability the game creates. I understand that, but its a profession, and its hazardous. When you decide to be a professional football player you understand the risks...thats part of the reason why you make millions of dollars a year.
  10. So per PFT, this schedule is crap. It has all the 4:15 games on CBS, with NONE on Fox. Sounds like it is Bogus. Here's hoping to a MNF game IN Buffalo...
  11. Ahh...the classic Draft conundrum...everyone wants to move down...few want to move up.
  12. Yeah, gotta be some better scoring here. McKelvin as a 11th overall should not count as much as Stevie or bell in the 7th. One is a disappointment, the others are very good value picks.
  13. INCLUDING (by the way...) The Patriots!
  14. YAY!!! We're not as bad as Detroit!!! Oh what???...they made the playoffs last year? Now im depressed.
  15. Yep. We overpaid. Usually do for Free Agents. Thats why you have to develop through the draft and keep your own. But we have the money. I am glad we spent it. I overpaid for my house too, but I really like it, its a perfect fit for my family, and it has provided me tons of great memories. Oh well. I had to live somewhere, might as well be happy. Ditto for Mario. Hopefully he can help provide us many great memories too. Its not like we spent 100M on a non-impact player. We got one of the top (if not THE top) DE in football. When was the last time we could say that?
  16. Remember, these agents represent a bunch of players. My guess is this agent has other guys on the Bills as well. They have a good working relationship with the front office, thats their job. Talking to each other (agents-owner) is mutually beneficial. Hard to believe it doesnt occur ALL the time.
  17. Too long a thread...anyone have a link to the press conference? I'd like to watch it.
  18. Jeepers creepers....where did you get peepers?
  19. And who would hire him after this? If anything, The league should hire him and force hm to be the guy in charge of policing the policy.
  20. I dont know what to make of this. When this first came out, I thought New Orleans was going to get hit HARD. But now that this is not just New Orleans, but involves many teams...I dont think the NFL can do much. You just cant penalize Buffalo (not saying this because I am a Buffalo guy), because NOBODY is still around who knew anything about this. Also, have to keep in mind, while all this was going on (in Buffalo and before), the NFL and ESPN were glorifying these HUGE hits. JACKED-UP was on every episode of sportscenter. No wonder why players were hitting hard, and a "bounty" system existed. The NFL is partly to blame here, which makes it hard to dole out punishment. Lastly, its critical to understand if the "bounty" system was for hurting players, or if the "bounty" system was for sacks, tackles, fumble recoveries, etc. While neither may be more legal than the other, there is a critical difference. We'll see what comes out of this. I would be happy with Making Greggo an example with a lifetime ban, maybe even suspending Sean Peyton for a year, and making damn sure this behavior is not tolerated. But to punish organizations for past behavior which nobody left had anything to do with...I think i'd pass if I was the commish.
  21. So I'm sure this is in jest...but in case it's not....I submit Whitner and McCargo as evidence.
  22. Id need to look at that point chart, but it seems like alot for us to move down 7 spaces. I'd do it...but im not sure they would. I'd do it for a their 17 and a 2nd rounder (or a 1st next year)
  23. I am sure choice wont be back...that leaves us with only Johnnie White behind FJ and CJ. So I wouldnt mind a late round pick for depth here...but please...no RB in the first 3 rounds!
  24. ..I guess you don't understand how Comp picks work then eh? In the disillusion world of comp picks, # of players gained/lost determines IF a comp pick will be given. Value delta determines how HIGH a comp pick will be given. Thats simplified, but basically if we didnt sign Kirk, we probably would have gotten a 3rd or 4th rounder for Poz. Since we did...we likely get nothing. Gotta love comp picks. Of course, new CBA, so anything is possible. I dont think they changed the secret formula though.
  25. Doubtful we are going to get a comp pick for Poz. Signing Captain Kirk probably cost us a comp pick.
