  1. I'm thinking about taking a furniture rental company in the area to small claims court. The claim is for only about $500, so I'm wondering if the hassle would totally outweigh the reward if I were to win. Thoughts? Advice?
  2. I think he's been doing well, but that doesn't mean he's ready to come in here and make a contribution with the big boys. He is on the lighter side and apparently his blocking skills aren't that good. If you remember a couple years ago, Ken Simonton was the NFL Europe MVP and came back and didn't make the team. So, just remember to keep things in perspective.
  3. No - I don't think he'll make the team. The reason he was brought back during the season when Campbell and Euhus went down is because he already knew the system. He's good, but he's undersized for a TE and didn't contribute much on special teams, which is where he'd need to have the greatest impact if they kept him as the 3rd TE.
  4. This is great news - so happy for you!
  5. Why bring in another injured TE? We already have two of them!
  6. I'm cool with that - makes total sense to me. Thanks for not flaming me and answering my question constructively.
  7. I know taxes are high. Hell, I hate paying them for sure. But every time I think of there being no school nurses in the budget, fewer DAs, longer waits for public services, it's seems like the sales tax increase would have been a good solution at least until we figured out a better long term solution. I have a feeling I'm going to see my property taxes go up now. So, I'm wondering if the argument against the sales tax is that we're over taxed already. If so, I'm down with that. But if I have to pay a little more to make sure our cops stay on the streets or there's a nurse at my kid's school, so be it IMHO.
  8. I moved to the area from the west coast about 5 years ago, and it's been very interesting to see the people's reactions about the budget cuts and the resulting cuts in services. People knew this was going to happen, so why didn't they pressure their legislators to increase the sales tax one penny? I know no one wants to see higher taxes, but wasn't the increase worth saving all the resources? Please don't get mad or angry - not trying to get attacked here. Just please give some respectful answers because I'm really trying to understand this.
  9. I never thought he was any good. He couldn't get anywhere when the Bills played in Dallas in 2003. I wasn't impressed at all.
  10. I see your point, but I distinctly remember Neufeld rushing for 9 yards resulting in a third down conversion against the Giants last year. So in the event that all of your RBs go down, at least you'd have some versatility with him. And I think Neufeld even lined up as the 4th wideout this year when Josh Reed got hurt. I don't think Burns would have been able to do that. You have to trust me on this one - no way we'd keep Wiggins, Campbell and Euhus on the roster. That means either Euhus or Campbell would be subjected to playing nothing but special teams with a rare TE appearance when a 3 TE set is used. I don't think that's what the big wigs have in mind for the TEs. It seems like it would be the way to go - when and if your top two go down, you'd have someone like Euhus waiting in the wings. But Euhus is here to play, not to sit on the bench. Which is why I think that if they bring in a big time FA TE (which I doubt because we don't have the funds), Campbell could very well be the odd man out.
  11. Well, it depends. If you bring in a free agent TE like Wiggins, then my guess is that Campbell would be the odd man out. Here's why - no way our TE depth would look like this - Wiggins, Campbell, Euhus (or mix and match the depth any way you want). That's too much money at the position for one of those guys to be warming the bench. Know what I mean? Now, if the Bills don't bring in a FA and draft a TE on day two, then Neufeld may very well be the odd man out. That's if Campbell and Euhus both stay healthy. And because of their injuries this year, it's very possible the Bills will keep 4 TEs. Neufeld can always fill in a roster spot as the back up FB. With the departure of Joe Burns, that's a hole that needs to be filled.
  12. Okay, you have no idea what you're talking about. Neufeld is a free agent - he didn't just "go" as you say. My guess is the team may still be considering re-signing him. I would not be surprised at all if they did over the next couple of weeks. Secondly, Neufeld has only been here two years - not sure where you got the 4 or 5 years number. And in that two years, he's done well as a back up TE and contributed greatly on special teams. And when Campbell and Euhus went down this year, he stepped up. Not to mention when Gash was hurt last season, he showed that he has some fullback capabilities as well. Whom, to you, was a stand out on special teams? Moorman? McGee? Of course those guys get the credit. Even Coach April has talked about all the unsung heroes on special teams. One game this season Neufeld had three tackles on special teams - that's stand out in my book for special teams play.
  13. Why? Why must Neufeld go? I, for the life of me, do not understand you people. Nor do I think there's a lot of thought going into saying something like this. If Neufeld goes, we have to find someone to replace him on special teams, to play TE, to play fullback, and to act as a back up snapper if necessary. He's the kind of guy you want on a team. I can understand if he played bad last season, but he did really well. So why then does he have to go?
  14. I don't think 56% comes even close to be considered "almost all."
  15. It's a strange phenomenon around here really. Many people get hyped off of bringing in players who have been released, hurt, demoted, etc. I've never really understood that either.
  16. It's just you. He caught two in the Miami game a couple weeks ago. He was thrown the ball once against Cleveland and it was a really bad pass - totally uncatchable. The pass yesterday he should have caught - no excuse. But no, he does not drop everything thrown his way. And I should remind you that Peters missed one against Cleveland that he should have had. Didn't Willis drop one yesterday? Why don't we bench him and give S. Williams a shot? Sounds ludicrous, doesn't it?
  17. Yeah, he's gotta catch those. I wouldn't write him off though because he dropped one pass.
  18. What's really crazy is that he played QB during college at UCLA, not WR.
  19. Actually Neufeld pkayed very well yesterday. His blocking was good and he was able to get open on his routes. He burned Robert Griffith on one. He was open several times, once in the endzone, but Bledsoe couldn't seem to look past his go-to guy Moulds. And people seem to forget that a TE's main role is blocking - not pass catching. Just because you don't here their names in a game doesn't mean they didn't play well.
  20. Actually, on the news last night, they said Neufeld will be removed from some of the special teams. He's the one TE on the roster we can trust right now, whereas there would be someone to pick up the slack if Fletcher or Clements were to get hurt.
  21. What the heck? I don't get it - just don't get it. Each one of our TEs plays well and has been productive. What more do you want from them. What do you want in a TE - someone with a name? Look at what that got the Browns in Kellen Winslow. Hmph. There just aren't that many Tony Gonzalezs out there, know what I mean? We have much more pressing issues that need to be dealt with during the offseason, ya dig?
  22. Neufeld also missed practice a while back in September - I think his wife had a baby boy too.
  23. Coach April said this, and it's true. "There's always psychological barrier to playing special teams, because the players haven't been rewarded for it, and are very unlikely to get rewarded when they play," April said. "There's no reward, there's no incentive a lot of times. They're not going to have the press talking to them after the game about how they covered a kick. A lot of times you don't even know who's on the field for those plays." So the guys who run the ball back down the field get all the credit, yet we take for granted that other guys on the field have made some huge blocks. Tucker and Neufeld getting pounded in the wedge, players like Prioleau, Stamer and Crowell making tackles on kickoff. They have to be one of the best groups in in the league. Take Neufeld for example - he had three tackles and an assist on special teams against the Rams last week. Did we hear about that in the media? Nope. But it's newsworthy IMO. So just remember that when free agency and/or training camp this year and people are putting together their rosters. If we lose some of these guys, they have to be replaced. Give some credit where credit is due. Happy turkey day!
  24. It was an awesome game at the Ralph today. I'm sure all the REAL fans out there appreciated this team. Here are a couple of my observations: 1. The tight ends. Mark Campbell was absolutely on fire. He made some awesome catches and I'm glad he came up big. I was happy to see that Neufeld was actually getting some TE reps today. I still think he is better than Euhus, who was absolutely absent today. We didn't hear from him at all. I guess it just wasn't his day (nor was last weekend at Foxboro - as much as I like the guy, he still has some major developing to do). Peters did have a holding penalty on offense though. He was in there several times as an eligible receiver. We have great TEs and I'm glad Mularkey is finding a way to utilize them all. 2. Special teams. What can I say? They are awesome. They are most certainly one of the best groups in the league. We hear so much about guys like Fast Freddie, Terrence McGee and Nate Clements running the ball back down the field, but in order for them to do so, the other guys had to make some awesome plays (sans penalties) to make it happen. Tucker, Neufeld, and someone else (not sure) threw some great blocks in the wedge. Peters was suprisingly fast heading down the field on kick off. And he made that great play - good for him. And Neufeld had two tackles today. Nice. 3. Drew. Okay, if anyone thinks J.P. can get out in a game today and win, they are crazy. Bledsoe has his faults, but he's the guy for now. Boy was I nervous at the beginning of the game - it's as if he's nervous and just isn't focusing. But he got it together and helped lead the team to victory. That bomb he threw to Evans was nice. I'm still wondering why we don't through down the field more. 4. McGahee. I think he showed us today why Donahoe took a chance on him. It was horrible when his long run was called back because of a holding penalty. You should have seen him stay in bounds foot over foot as defenders were trying to knock him out. I think he's going to be an awesome back. These are some things that really stood out during the game. Milloy, Adams and Schobel also played well. That hit Schobel had on Faulk was so hard. And Nate Clements - watch for that flip into the endzone on ESPN. I can't wait to watch the next game. Hopefully the guys will take this momentum into the next game. Miami gave Seattle a run for their money tonight. We'll see what happens next week.
