  4. You're right, but with another QB with experience on the roster (although it is Matthews) there's still someone else that can start instead of Drew if the coaches wanted to prove their point with Drew. Know what I mean? It doesn't necessarily have to be JP.
  5. I think he writes his columns just to set the fans off. It's so apparent.
  6. Finally, someone who gets it. Money rules football and is the basis for a lot of personnel decisions. It's why a player like Mike Williams can bail on camp for a couple days and not get cut. Say Stamer or Neufeld tried something like that. They'd be cut in a heartbeat. IMO, it's why a 4th round pick like Euhus displaced Neufeld for no reason but money. While both have been playing well, I bet it was Donahoe's call from upstairs that put his 4th round pick in the #2 spot. He has to justify his picks and the money spent. It's a sad reality, but this really is how and why some decisions are made in football.
  7. My mom called from the west coast and was laughing at the Bills. Not a good thing.
  8. I think JP showed us tonight that he's not quite ready. He needs more experience, which is why it's good he got in there at all.
  9. Please don't say J.P. He showed us tonight that he's not quite ready for primetime...
  10. Honestly, my guess is they won't be too upset about that...
  11. I'm too busy watching the games! LOL! I'll try to make my presence felt tomorrow night...
  12. I know which passes you're refering to Kelly - a couple of them were really bad passes. Blame Bledsoe for those. I agree that Euhus has got potential, but I really haven't seem him do anything Neufeld hasn't been able to do. Sure he caught a touchdown pass, but that's because Bledsoe threw to him in the endzone. Neufeld's been open a couple times and Bledsoe doesn't throw to him - I think the commentators even said so during the Oakland game. And I have to say, after seeing Neufeld play fullback last year when both Gash and Crosby were hurt, I have all the confidence in saying that he's a better fullback than Burns. But we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  13. Sorry Kelly, but I respectfully disagree. Neufeld did great the first four games of the season. No one has yet given a reason why he was displaced by Euhus. I think Neufeld got caught up in the politics of what happens after a team starts of 0-4. The switch was unlike the McGahee/Henry switch because Willis has CLEARLY outplayed Travis - not the case with the TEs. Of course, if Neufeld had continued to be the #2 TE, you probably would have seen more out of him. Heck, Campbell was struggling tremendously at the beginning of the season and Neufeld seemed to be outplaying him. No way Peters will replace Neufeld. And I'm shocked that you say we have no use for Neufeld on the team. Neufeld will be on this team at least for the remainder of the season because of his versatility (his contract is up at the end of the season). He's the back up snapper, back up FB, and does great on special teams. He's thrown some key blocks each time McGee ran back touchdowns. And Lord forbid Campbell or Euhus gets injured, he'd be able to step in with no problem. Would you really want Peters filling in for Campbell if he got hurt? Scary. One thing that's great about all four of these guys is that the bring something different to the table, know what I mean. I think each of them can contribute in there own way.
  14. He wasn't the problem here - it was Gilbride. I'm not suprised he's doing well elsewhere sans Gilbride.
  15. Looks to me like Euhus has some work to do in the blocking department. He's a great pass catching TE but needs to work on his blocking. I think they should put Neufeld in to block on plays in which they are going to run the ball.
  16. Burns, Neufeld, etc. Anything to help out this offense.
  17. Before you discount the TEs, they need to be thrown the ball first. TEs got thrown to twice on Sunday - once to Neufeld and it was high and he got blasted, the second to Neufeld which he caught. Both he and Campbell are tough - both can take big hits and get back out on the field. Euhus is a project - don't expect him to get a ton of playing time this year. Our TEs block really well, especially Neufeld. I think his h-back experience really helps. There's no use in having a Tony Gonzalez on a team if the quarterback and coaches aren't going to use him. There have been numerous occasions where the TEs have been open, but Bledsoe ends up throwing to his receivers, whom I think he tends to favor.
  18. If anyone saw the hit Neufeld took on that 3rd down pass, you might understand why he dropped it. And it wouldn't have been enough for the 1st down anyway. And don't write him off because he dropped one pass - he did really well in the preseason, especially against Tennessee. As for Campbell's drops, not sure what's up with that. He dropped a couple in the preseason too. However, both Campbell and Neufeld blocked really well IMO in the two TE sets. Trust me, if Euhus was ready to go, the coaches would put him out there. My guess is he just isn't ready yet. And he seems a lot slower than Neufeld and Campbell IMO. I wonder how much time the TEs spend catching passes during practice - I'm guessing they spend more time blocking.
  19. The Excalibur is a family-friendly hotel, so there will be a lot more kids around - no big deal if you don't mind that.
  20. Well, the Jags were the underdogs coming up here and they beat us. Heck, anything can happen.
  21. Okay, that was a year ago. In the past two weeks, he's dropped the only couple of passes thrown his way. It seems like he's having a problem now and he needs to fix it.
  22. Campbell is the "starter" but Neufeld has been playing very well. If there's a two TE set on the field on our first offensive play, Neufeld is out there with Campbell. Campbell has had a small problem holding onto the ball these past two games. Lets hope he doesn't bring that into the regular season with him.
