  1. agreed. tight ends are a weapon these days. they are taking over offenses and we really could use a stud at that spot. swap out troup for gronk on our roster and i feel like we'd be picked to win 10 games easy.
  2. bunch of teams have floyd over blackmon. it's all about who you ask i guess.
  3. hate it. brutal start, and the easy home games come in december when bad weather has the potential to really even the playing field. don't like starting @ the jets either. they talked on espn yesterday for a while how cincy was gifted as easy first 8 weeks last year - and how they won a bunch of games and gained confidence because of that. we have the opposite. the prospects of our "easy" schedule looked 100x better yesterday.
  4. reckless comment from berry. don't need players throwing around ignorant crap like this.
  5. BTW, Stevie had 3 penalties last year. Three. bahhhh his "penalty history" is so debilitating to the offense!!! what are we gunna do next year!!
  6. lol jesus christ, can you stop saying "penalty history"? he's made a few boneheaded decisions trying to make a name for himself. but by all accounts, he's a great guy, a family man, and a hard worker. there's no reason he shouldn't be able to move past that and take on a leadership role for this organization. also, the !@#$ you know about his "overall upside"? he's had erratic QBing due to crappy players and injuries, and no legitimate talent at the other WR spot to take any coverages away. he's not a speed demon, and doesn't catch every pass thrown his way, but he's an elite route runner and gets open more than any WR i've watched in some time. with about 3-4 exceptions, a player's upside is strictly defined by the players around him and the system they're in. you add a healthy fitz for 16 games and a michael floyd to the offense and suddenly his "upside" goes up quite a bit.
  7. exactly, which would have been good for 6th in the NFL. i've seen this argument played out 100 times before. "is player X a #1 center in the NHL?" "GOD NO, HE'S NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS CROSBY!!!" it's the same bull **** here. Just because Stevie isn't in the class of Megatron, Fitz, and Andre doesn't mean he's not a #1. It means he's not an elite player, which is something everybody here is okay with saying.
  8. miami, cleveland, indy, jax, denver, oakland, san diego, washington, minnesota, san fran, seattle. so in other words, plenty for him to be considered a #1 WR. it's hardly debatable.
  9. haha, what a joke. amongst all your other condescending bull ****, you managed to make my point for me. you know how many players had 1500 receiving yards last year? Three. Three !@#$ing players. So I guess that means there are 3 #1 WRs in the NFL then right? If anything, Stevie's ability to hit 1000 yards with no #2 to speak of, and a somewhat erratic QB is quite incredible.
  10. stevie is absolutely a #1. some people like to set the bar for a "#1" anything as being the elite players at that position. it's dumb logic.
  11. it'd be incredible if he turned into tony romo.
  12. that's far from accurate. but don't let your strange bias get in the way.
  13. never seen something get so ridiculously overblown like the "mike floyd character issues". by all accounts he's an absolute great kid with an unreal work ethic. CHARACTER issues deal with players who are lazy, who are uncoachable, who think their **** doesn't stink, who don't play with heart, etc. none of them fit floyd, whatsoever.
  14. Decastro might not be a need pick at all, but at least most/all feel he's going to be an excellent player. The tackles I want nothing to do with.
  15. ugh. just stop. don't ever say this in public. you'll make bills fans as a whole look stupid.
  16. came here to post this. it can be said over and over and over that "the draft is a crapshoot", but c'mon, were not picking names out of a hat here. it takes a skill to identify good talent. the best teams are able to do it more frequently than bad teams. period.
  17. i'm getting to point where i'll be pissed if we take anyone else. riley reiff? a guy who most aren't even sold on as a left tackle?? at 10!!?!? absolute crazy talk. give your QB a weapon to throw to.
  18. i'm glad you said this. puts a little more perspective into why you could be so blatantly clueless regarding floyd. at least you admit you're biased.
  19. average score is a 21. unreal. those questions are a joke.
  20. 15-20 WRs like Floyd....wow. it must suck to have your opinions. you must be wrong a lot.
