  1. Bills 17 Bucks 16 I think it can be decided during the last few minutes. Whoever has the ball last, will win the football game.
  2. Been reading the Tampa Bay board. Most of them have great respect for our defense... but they don't have respect for Losman. And why should they? I think that Losman will shock the Bucs just like he shocked the Texans. But I still see us struggling to score touchdowns. Look for a final score to be 16-9 or so.
  3. As a Buckeye fan I seem impressed to talk smack about the Wolverines.... they lost hahaa... but... dang, that Texas game hurt us too. Gotta nurse my wounds before any serious trash talking of the Rodents up North takes place.
  4. I don't think that McGahee will be struggling in the heat...after playing in Miami. JP loves the sunshine being from California and playing in Tulane. The weather should not be as big a factor as a screaming crowd.
  5. Very good summary and you made some critical points. 1. I agree that the bomb was a great play to call, and executed perfectly. Last week many people predicted that a bomb would be found somewhere in the first drive... I'm glad we were right. 2. I think that Vincient is fabulous. I'm ALMOST ready to crown him a Pro Bowl birth right now. Which do you think will happen... more sacks by Kelsay this year, or interceptions by Vincient. I think that's going to be a close contest. 3. Kelsay is due for a break out year. I'm expecting 8 sacks with several tackles to boot. I thought this before the season. 4. I have to disagree a bit. With a first down and goal... you have to run run run. Yes, the Texans were expecting it, but you have to give the ball to Willis. I hate to say it, because I am elated about JP's touchdown pass... but I would have run it up the gut that down instead of the trickiness to Peters. Had the blitzing defender been one step closer to Losman, instead of having his first touchdown pass, he would have been sacked and we would have been forced to do another fieldgoal (most likely). Why doesn't Clements play GRIND-it-OUT ball down by the goal line. I personally don't like the trickery (although it occassionally will work). 5/6. Snaps were great, Peters was great! 7. I love Losman... what more can I say. 8. I don't think there were ANY weak links in yesterday's game... with perhaps the O-Line not being physical enough at the beginning of the game to allow more than 12 yards on 7 McGahee carries. 9. Show Nate the money!! 10. McGee doesn't get the credit. But he is dominant as a corner. Great tackling, and he shuts down his receivers quite frequently. I think McGee should have been our MVP last year, and he is continuing to be great this year. Just didn't have enough kick-offs to do anything special. But he should blame the defense for that.
  6. Do you think this will mean a bigger year or a worse year for my fantasy wide receiver Donald Driver?
  7. This prediction I tend to agree with.
  8. No way to the Bills defense struggle against Carnell Williams. I still think that Dominack Davis is better than the Cadillac, and look what we did to Davis. If we lose the game down in Florida... it won't be because of their rookie runningback.
  9. A kicker can VASTLY improve in only 1 offseason. I wonder if Lindell did this. The infamous Mike Nugent... well, I remember when he was a Freshman... and SUCKED!!! Every time there was an extra point, I would hold my breath as a Buckeye fan. 1 offseason later, and he was the best in college football. Does this transfer over to NFL... absolutely. I remember watching a rookie (or he possibly might have been second year), and laughing at this kicker because he was so poor. It was a joy for me to watch him miss kick after kick.... and that rotten kicker's name is... Adam Viniateri. He improved! I HOPE... that Lindell has done the same thing.
  10. FIRST... I love JP, I would have done exactly what TD did with the Bledsoe/JP situation. I am more comfortable with our quarterback now than I was with Bledsoe last year... but... I do like Drew Bledsoe. I want to see him do well in Dallas. And I offer my congratulations for a great game from Bledsoe yesterday. Good job Drew... beating a team that we could be competing with in late December for a Wild Card Spot. Thanks again!
  11. The game will be determined by our defense. Will we be able to outscore (yes, I mean outscore with turnovers... returns to red zone, etc) the Tampa defense. Tampa has a scoring defense just like we do. It will come down to turnovers. If we commit no turnovers... WE WIN. If we cause no turnovers, we LOSE. I say we win, even without the homefield advantage. But it will be very close... ugly game.
  12. Josh Reed has never had a quarterback get in his face before. Never happened with Bledsoe. That's yet another thing that JP brings that Bledsoe did not.
  13. We seem to forget that Ray Lewis is a murderer.
  14. McGahee admits that the more he carries the ball the better he gets. We haven't seen him carry the load of 30+ carries. When he does Sunday, look for him to break 100 yards EASILY!! But if JP rushes for more than 100, I don't mind if he leads our team.
  15. Does anybody think that playing on Thursday... and getting three days extra rest before week 2 is an advantage to the Raiders or Pats?
  16. This is Lindell's last year to proove himself. If he loses a single game (or misses any field goal in a game that we lose by 3 or less points) he is GONE at the end of the year!
  17. Rypien had a career year that year. Would have been an amazing fantasy quarterback if memory serves. He couldn't do anything wrong, and rode that hot streak all the way to the Superbowl. Hostetler didn't win the Superbowl for the Giants... the Bills lost it fair and square.
  18. Buckeyes beat Texas because OSU is at home. The Buckeyes REALLY want this game too. Probably worse than the Longhorns. Superior defense will shut down the offense of Texas. The game will be decided by a few big plays by the Buckeye offense.
  19. So, the coin toss works differently in Pros than in college. I never knew that.
  20. I don't like that. If they run Willis first... I bet he only gets 3 yards... then a bomb, incomplete... it is 3rd and 7. Less than 50% chance of getting the first down from there. I think the first chance to get a first down in any game is important, but in the first game in the season, and the first for JP... I think it is a necessity. I say shotgun on the first play, and a short route to Moulds, Campbell, or even McGahee. Make it a high percentage passing play... punishing the Texans for thinking run. On 2nd and 5 run McGahee, leaving us with a 3rd and 1 possibly. Much higher percentage from there. But what do I know...
  21. I'm sure it will be the 49ers... which means they shouldn't have drafted Alex Smith. They should have taken one of the stud runners or wideouts... and take Leinart next year. BIG MISTAKE 49er fans!
  22. Dang... it looks authentic. Could mess up my Fantasy Football Strategy.
  23. Gotta love the optism. I see us losing either to Texans, Tampa, or Atlanta. I don't see us starting 3-0. I also see us losing to either Kansas City, San Diego, or Carolina. Then I see us losing to either Denver or Cincinnati. What that said, I still agree with the rest and call the Bills a 10-6 team. If we win our division, I think it will be on a tie-breaker. Also, I don't see us beating the Colts in the playoffs. They want the Superbowl more than we do right now, and we aren't experienced enough. I see next year (after a very solid draft) to be the year that we make our Superbowl run.
  24. Who wants to bet that SOLID White doesn't get any votes.
  25. I know a bunch of you will think I'm crazy. But I think that this pre-season could not have unfolded any more perfectly for our quarterback. Yes, our line wasn't great, yes we lost two games... but it was perfect for JP. If we had gone 4-0, and everybody played perfectly... this would have given JP a false feeling that the NFL is easy. We finished 2-2, and JP has learned that a defeat can be snatched from the jaws of victory (ala Chicago). I'm glad for the 2 interceptions. I'm glad JP struggled... I'm REALLY GLAD that he had that interception returned for a touchdown. Better now then next week. If he had not thrown any interceptions the entire preseason, he would not know that bitter taste... he does now, and I think he will be a little more wise about throwing that out pattern. The line wasn't perfect... which WAS perfect for JP. Had he had all the time in the world, and no players come near him... it would have given him a false security that will not be there in the season. He knows he will be blitzed, and he knows what it feels like now. After our preseason... I have complete confidence in our learning and growing quarterback. J.P. Losman WILL make mistakes friends... but I guarantee that he will NOT make as many mistakes as Drew did. Last year Drew had 16 interceptions (not to mention fumbles), I guarantee JP has fewer. Two years ago, Drew had more INT than TD's... another thing I guarantee JP won't do.
