We need to draft a Lineman (if there is not a pure pass rusher available) in the first round next year. If not the first, then definitely the second round. We also need to pick up a stud off of Free Agency. We should have the money, because I don't see us keeping Clements (tear). RT- Mike Williams (if he can hold up) RG- Bennie Anderson (or Geisenger) C- Duke Preston LG- Future #1 pick (or Veteran stud) LT- Future #1 pick (or Veteran stud) Gandy and Vallariel should be backup.

You could always put a mobile person back there to run it back... Lee Evans, Willis McGahee, Eric Moulds, even JP Losman

I am one of the optimistic people who believe that the Bills can (and should) make the playoffs this year. Many disagree, but that is not the point to this post. Looking at the Bills schedule, our record, and what we need to be at by the end of the year to make the playoffs (probably 10-6), we need to get on a winning streak. SCHEDULE (from which we must win 8 games) JETS OAK N.E. Bye K.C. S.D. CAR MIA N.E. DEN CIN JETS I think our best chance to gain a 3 game winning streak is From CAR, Mia, and NE. What do you think? Which games can we afford to lose, which must we win? Where do you think our critical winning streak (at least 3 games) will occur?

This guy should be banned from football.

If I was the coach, I would have been hard pressed to not command my team... EVERYBODY to attack physically that dirty scrub of a player. I hope that haunts him and that unethical coach FOREVER!!! He should be fined... or have charges brought on him for assault or something. -
It is 1st and Goal on the 1 yard line... My philosophy is give the ball to McGahee 4 straight times (unless there is a severe loss). I hate the play-action, gadget moves when you are a foot away from the goal-line!! Buffalo does it quite often. Another call I like is the quarterback sneak in that situation. I also think you go for it on 4th and an inch. The situation on Sunday, the Bills were on the 1 foot line. 1st and Goal from the 1- Run with McGahee for no gain 2nd and Goal from the 1- Run with McGahee for no gain 3rd and Goal... tricky play action screen pass for a 5 yard loss. 4th down... we settle for a fieldgoal, only go up by 17... and Miami has momentum. Does anybody else think the Bills should have run it up the gut on 3rd down with KH or WM, and EVEN IF there is no touchdown, do it again on 4th down?

Um... what about Takeo Spikes??? Willis McGahee???
-
He runs more like Eric Dickerson... that running style did fine for him.

Whoa... too much slamming. He has a point... it is tough to be a Bills fan. Maybe only the Browns have thicker skin due to disappointment... but I have had my heart broken more than I have celebrated. But still, the Bills are my team and have been from birth! Hey... when we do win that Superbowl... FINALLY (hopefully sooner than later) how sweet it will be

Nate Clements again will be our savior! He eats Fish for supper. Hmm... that sounds tasty.

I think that Clinton Portis will be UP for that game! -

Eric Moulds TOUCHDOWN!!! A running play for over 50 yards. Kermit on Sesamee Steet -
So, that's the formula for the playoffs... If we had only beaten the 'Aints, then we could have lost to Carolina, New England (twice), Denver, or KC. I'm afraid that we are going to lose one of those games... and end 9-7. That Cincinnati game may turn out to be the game of the year for us!
-
Cincinnati will not collapse... They have great talent and great coaching. They are headed for the playoffs. The Redskins are the luckiest team in the league... they deserve to be below 500, not undefeated. They will NOT make the playoffs. Biggest disappointment is probably Green Bay (they are too good to be winless) and Houston who was hoping that this was their year. Minnesota also has had a horendous start. But Buffalo tops the list for disappointments... I predicted (with confidence) the Bills to be 4-1 after the Miami game. Now I'm crossing my fingers to be 2-3.
-
If you give Willis McGahee the ball 25 times or more EACH AND EVERY GAME... I will be pleased regardless of the outcome.

I know that this post was a little sarcastic... but I submit the opinion that it is not possible... well, I should say not probable... here's why. "So Frerotte is going to pick apart the secondary"... Well, nobody has been able to pick apart our secondary this year. We are #1 in the league. Our strength IS our secondary. Miami would be stupid if their plan was to PASS PASS PASS their way to victory. Instead, they will try to run on the a run defense that is near the bottom of the league. "look out for Ronnie Brown to tear up the D running up the gap and picking up 4, 5, 6 yards per carry. Probably break a few big ones, at least one for a TD." Isn't this the game that Ricky Williams is coming back? For some reason, that is ringing in my head. I do see Ronnie Brown getting some yards on us, but if he has a BIG DAY... it will be more how Deuce McCallister did it and not like his Auburn teammate did. "The D will feast on JP's passing attempts, and I expect 3 picks" Pretty hard to do when JP doesn't pass more than 20 times a game. I looked at Bulger and he passed for like 60 times last Sunday... I don't see JP EVER getting up in the 40 range this year. Our defense is on the field too long. He has only thrown 1 INT, so I think that 3 is impossible. "McGahee can only do so much, and 40 carries will tire him out when you need him in the second half." Again, for some reason McGahee will never get 40 carries. I wish he did... he could pull of 200 yard games easy if he did. I predict Bills to win... well, we have to.... or I'm officially going to... cry.

Obervation about SB loss against Giants
BuckeyeBill replied to Peter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny that nobody is bringing up the fact that according to geometry, the Music City Miracle was not a lateral... but was indeed an illegal play. Hence we beat the Titans and eventually head to the Superbowl. On another note... Speaking of when the Bills WERE in the Superbowl, has anyone noticed that we are losing each game this year the VERY SAME WAY we lost SB XXV? We can't keep our offense ON the field, and our defense is getting exhausted each and every third/fourth quarter. Something that must be remedied. -
I think that Clements knows a little bit about the rivarly. He always torches them, does he not? Who wants to bet that NC gets a pick this week? How about two?

The Buffalo Bill's Guide to Talent Abuse

Fantastic post. You know what you are talking about. -
Very good point. Schobel is not as good as some on this board think. NOBODY on this line needs constant double teams like Bruce Smith did. That has been our number 1 weakness since the exodus of Smith. It hurts me knowing that if we had passed on Mike Williams, we could have traded down and picked up Dwight Freeney.

Our best Tight End is Everett... Too bad he has never played.

LOL Wow, almost lost it there. That was funny! -
I noticed the same thing when looking at stats. Here's hoping Crowell makes the Pro-Bowl like Spikes did. But I think that's TOO MUCH of a long shot. I'm just praying he doesn't make any major mistakes and makes a big play or two.

Last year, the Bills were 0-4 and about ready to play the Dolphins at home. The Bills had very low esteem, and were the laughing stock of the league. Enter an unproven stud from the University of Miami... a playmaker, a guy named McGahee. The Bills won that game against the Dolphins... and the Bills ended up winning 8 more... posting a record of 9-7. Only 1 game out of the playoffs. THE BILLS HAVE DONE IT AGAIN... Can History Repeat itself? This time, the Bills are 1-3 and again about ready to play the Dolphins at home. The Bills (again) have a low self esteem, and are becoming one of the laughing stocks of the league. Entering (maybe not this week but hopefully soon) will be another unproven stud from the University of Miami... a playmaker, a guy named Roscoe Parrish. I am hoping that Parrish give the Bills a jolt like McGahee did last year. If we don't get a jolt and VERY SOON, our season could end up in the toilet. Here's hoping that Parrish comes in SOON and steps it up for us. Here's hoping that history repeats itself.

The Moulds bomb was SEVERELY overthrown. This is tending to be a problem for JP.

There are too many 0-4 teams right now. Sorry we won't be #1 overall no matter if we implode.
