McDermott is on my hot seat list. He should be. They were out coached and out schemed today badly. That’s on him. He’s a nice guy, maybe too nice. This team needs to be whipped into a tougher squad. They are weak.

I’ve said it for 40 years. Buffalo sports teams exist to bring happiness to other teams fan bases. That’s what we do.

As i said in another thread. May be more appropriate here. No team that gets dominated like that in a big game, at home, will be a threat to win the Super bowl. That dream has died today. Buf might still be able to sneak in as a wild card but it’s hard to tell. If they lose to the Saints then no. If they beat the Saints then they Need to at least split with NE. Too may other AFC teams have 6-7 wins already.

I will say this in summation. No team that gets dominated like that in a big game, at home, will be a threat to win the Super bowl. That dream has died today. They might still be able to sneak in as a wild card but not sure. Too may other AFC teams have 6-7 wins already. -
Ah man. Ravens gonna pull another W from the jaws of defeat.

Houston and the 49ers taking care of business where the Bills couldn’t -
Last time we played Wentz here it was wet and windy. He was with Philly and they killed the Bills. Wentz played better than Allen in it. Hopefully that won't be the case this time around.

Need to stack some wins. That's all that matters. Just win or else it's New England's division again.

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]
zow2 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
It stinks if Brown misses the game but i am confident the replacement will step up to the challenge. I'm sure the Bills learned a lot from that JAX game and made changes to the offense last week as well. -
I remember seeing the arm live for the first time at Baltimore. His first game action ever when the Bills were getting blown out. He made one sideline out pass and it just looked different than Flacco or anyone one else. Had so much zing to it. I always remember that pass for some reason as the Josh Allen era began.

The fumbling will be an issue. McDermott won't trust Breida in critical situations to carry the rock out of the backfield unless he cleans that up.

What the Ravens loss (and many other bad losses) should teach us
zow2 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills losses this year have been close games. Close games usually come down to 1 huge play. Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Jacksonville all made the big plays in the 2nd half to close it out. There will be more close games. It would be nice to see Buffalo make the big play at the end to flip the game into a W. -
Mixed In With Poor Play Luck Has Not Been On Our Side In Losses
zow2 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. That's why each new season has absolutely nothing to do with the previous season results. Turnovers, injuries, untimely penalties (for us and opponents), special teams plays, luck involving bounce of the ball, missed FG's, missed 4th down conversions, etc... Just ask Miami fans about this. They had an insane amount of good fortune and good finishes last year. Similar team now but not getting similar results. -
Very true. Nor does calling holding on a running play or catch & run.. when the guy grabbing a piece of jersey is 20 yards away on the other side of the field and has absolutely nothing to do with the play. It's refs looking to make calls.
-
I went to the Tennessee game. At least it was a great game and beautiful weather. But a stupid L. We fans are giving this team unreal road support. Hopefully we get rewarded at some point.
-
I have a buddy calling for McD's head. Says he is our "Tony Dungy" like the Bucs had... and won't win or compete for a Super Bowl until the Bills get their Gruden type guy... whatever that means. So yeah, there are people tiring of McDermott.
-
The problem I always have with officiating is that they seem to want to be an integral part of the game. They should administrate the game.. keep the peace on the field, and make calls that are egregious. No one wants to see the ticky tack crap called that has no effect on the play. Don't throw a PI flag when you *think* there is contact. Only throw flags when stuff is 100% obvious.

It's ridiculous, the Ravens sign dudes off the street like Davonte Freeman and they are still productive. We can't do anything here.
-
This team is so Josh Allen dependent for everything on O. The only comparison in the AFC is prob Lamar Jackson. I mean if Allen is having even an iffy game, the entire offense goes to pieces. There's no one else to pick up the slack, and by that i mean you can't even hand the ball off and smashmouth for a bit.
-
It's big trouble for the O since they are no longer an explosive passing attack coupled with a negligible running game and a not-so physical O-line. I hate them but it's another reason why i have liked the Browns (since game 1) to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. They have a strong line, very good RB's, and a solid passing game and QB/WR's, along with a good D.

Something tells me a Mike Vrabel practice isn’t all horsing around and goof-ball-ish. I’ve seen some YouTube videos recently and there’s too much silliness going on. And some guys all of a sudden host their own podcasts. Get the team together McDermott and lay it down. You are failing at your job buddy. Let’s go. Who knows, the window may shut after this couple years run and/or the division could get much harder. The time is now.

I gotta pin some of the "not ready to play" on McDermott and the team leaders. We better not see that again. Every game should be taken very seriously. It's all fun and cute when the guys are horsing around in practice, dancing, and doing their instagram nonsense and fluff pieces on Bills video. That should be over now. This was a spanking and it's time to play up to their potential and find an identity.
