So sorry to hear f your loss, definately one of the toughest things I had to do in my life, putting down a pet who always adored us, protected me and my family, was always there to share the mood, and brighten my day. I have been through it three times alreeady, but as someone said before, you can honor that freind by getting another less fortunate one who is in a shelter just waiting to share the love you miss. Good luck and your days will get brighter as you move forward, but you will never forget the times with that cheriushed freind.

I am on generator power, lost the den, had 7 feet in my lower level, still trying to get some help figuring out how to right an oil tank. Lost a boston whaler with its trailer for a bit, a neighbor clued me in and I found iit a block away. The boat that was tied to the dock was hung up on one of the posts. We finally waded in during the second high tide and freed it. GOing in now to drain more and rip oyt flooring and walls in the den

Hoping for the best, planing for the worst. I have already started prepping, one boat will be on a trailer in the driveway for my escape (if the storm surge gets too high), the other lashed to the bulkhead/floating dock. Generator is already in place above last years water line (3 1/2 feet) will start moving all tools and equipment from lower level of the house tonight and tommorow. Will lash down deck furniture and outdoor grill as well as any objects that may go airborne during high winds (birdhouses, potted plants, small children and Aaron Maybin). Last years flood/storm I had a few large fish in my driveway, even had a 4 foot shark..(apparently it blew out of someones pool )

My daughter is a freshman at South Carolina, we have all the gear, we make jokes about the "stiffening rooster defense" and the "probing rooster offense", the "rooster blockers" etc. When my daughter presented me with a hat, I was pumped, until I saw the back had the "Cocks" term on it. I returned it for one that had USC on the back. A few weeks ago we went down for a game, great venue except when they do the cheer one side of the stadium shouts "GAME" and the other side shouts "COCKS", naturally we were stuck on the side that wasn't screaming "Game"..... I vowed right then to make sure we are on the other side of the stadium for the next game.
