  1. Insert image works for me.
  2. Yes, the thumbnail and image link both work now. (They didn't a few mins ago.) The new board looks great! Thanks for all the hard work!
  3. Hopefully your source is misinformed or comments were misunderstood. This is horrible news. At least we have a few safeties who could start, though I have no idea how effective each will be in our new defense.
  4. Okay, I'm in. Charity to be named later. I bet Stevestojan several years ago. I think the bet offered by Steve was that the Bills would allow less than 40 sacks (the result was 41 or 42 I think). He was a gentleman and paid via Paypal shortly after the season. Edit: Not that anyone cares, but it was the 2004 season and I bet under 40. We ended up giving up 38 sacks. Bledsoe was sacked 49 times the year before (and the year after with Dallas), so I don't remembr what I saw, but it paid off.
  5. I like your optimist! Unfortunately, RBs cannot gain the yards themselves. They rely on blocking, threat of a passing game coaching, etc.. While I really like our RBs, I expect our rushing stats to be middle-of-the-pack. If we're tops rushing or defense this year, I'll eat my hat.
  6. Have Spiller and Troup been named starters?
  7. I've thought all along that Felton is this year's Justin Jenkins, who is no longer Practice Squad eligible. I just checked the eligibility rules (linked/quoted below) to make sure there was no years-pro restriction when I saw FH came out of college in 2006. If he's a known quantity they like (and I think they do) who is dinged up and unlikely to play or play much in preseason, why not release him now and plan to sign him to the PS later? That's one less player they need to "sneak" to the PS in the late team cuts. And, it opens a roster spot to check out someone else. Here's the best write-up I found after a quick search: http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2009/9/9/...squad-explained
  8. I'm pretty sure this is the post Pilsner is referencing:
  9. I saw it before, but would love to see the exaplanation again. His names are the opposite of who is in charge or something they said (or similar). Bary Brady = ...? Pyrite Gal = opposite of "the golden boys" (Ralph and Marv) Fake Fat Sunny = opposite of Real Slim Shady Hplarrm = reverse of Mr Ralph
  10. Welcome back Bary Brady / Fake Fat Sunny / Pyrite Girl! I'm not even sure if you were gone or just posting briefly, infrequently under another "handle." I've missed your posts, even the very long ones. I just figured out that was you when I read your previous post and realized your name was "MR Ralph" backwards.
  11. I just returned from a two week vacation and saw this thread. Hopefully Lori's just taking some time off too. I have nothing new to add to the abundance of posts singing Lori's praises, but felt compelled to post in support of her. Lori's articles, posts and moderation would all be huge losses to TBD/TSW if she walked away. Edit: Aug 13 Article by Lori (Welcome back!): http://www.twobillsdrive.com/buffalo-bills...ameday-preview/
  12. No way was Tim the worst, though he likely is the Bill who spent the most time on the field facing the wrong direction (trying to push backwards into the pocket). It's not fair to bust on players who couldn't get playing time in this worst ever game. For Bills who got significant playing time I was going to sayu Chris Watson or Matt Stevens. Looking him up, I found this article about Matt Stevens saying he became a paraplegic in 2007, something I didn't know.
  13. 54? Yikes! .. (moment of silence)
  14. I'm so confused. So now it's next year I want the Bills to lose?
  15. You're either a troll or very very dim. If you read the 80+ responses to this thread you'd see very few people saying or implying that they know Trent is the answer. Without rereading myself the strongest I remember are comment along the lines of "there have been so many problems, let's see how Trent performs in a new system, with new coaches." I wanted the Bills to draft a QB. I also think your argument against him here is lame. The pushback you're getting is not a blanket defense of Trent, it's people actually engaging your stump of an argument. So, people have named some QBs where Trent has a stronger arm like you asked. We could also then add the other ~10 QB that have an arm like Trent's. Seeing that Trent is middle-of-the pack for arm strength do you want to say "see, based on that alone he can't be an NFL QB?" How does showing he's approximately average for an NFL starter on a single attribute show he can't be a starter? Why don't you want to acknowledge that can Trent physically throw well enough? (I provided a link showing him throw a couple 45 yard in the air TD passes.) Is that because that would mean it's physically possible for Trent to perform well with better coaching? What's so wrong with that? Since he has a very good shot at being our starting QB at the start of the season, you'd think you could muster up some energy to hope for him and the Bills, even while you have doubts. Why do you post here if you think all is hopeless? The conclusion I've come to is that you're a troll, happy to make others a little more miserable.
  16. I agree, and will add even if someone is decent at understanding O-line play, it's very hard to tell what's going wrong from a fan's perspective: is it the player's bad habits, poor conditioning, a bad position coach, attitude etc.. It this vein, I'll add Mike Gandy to the list. I was one who thought he looked incurably weak, but he seems to be doing fine for the Cardinals.
  17. We've seen Trent throw a number of deep passes. His problem is not that he can't throw them (weak arm), but rather that he doesn't throw them (decision-making). I agree with Kota's points that 1billsfan mocks (that Trent has a short throwing motion and quick release). Edit: Here's a link to a game (second one that comes up after Googling "Trent Edwards long pass"). In this one, TE has two passes to TO that travel 45+ yards in the air and are on target. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-fantasy/09000d5d81435ea2
  18. I agree with the names I see so far. While I don't think they were the best, we should add: Marvcus Patton Marcellus Wiley London Fletcher Justin Bannan Antowain Smith Jim Leonard ...Ande Davis? (barely qualifies as ex-Bills) Honorarable mention: John Butler Personal vote for best is Pat Williams or Winfield.
  19. LAMP =Look At Me Post If I chimed in on this thread and said something like "I don't really care who starts at QB for the Bills, any of them will look great on my new 72 inch 3D television," that would be a look at me post.
  20. I hope you're right. Unfortunately, that great start (4-0) was September 2008 (21 months ago), which makes a retun to form seem a bit less likely.
  21. Do you mean no regular season downs for Levi ever? I agree this season is a very very low chance, but ever? Let me watch him in a preseason game or two and I'll let you know if I'd bet, say $10, on him.
  22. So, if Trent starts, who will be his favorite receiver? So far it clearly has not been Evans.
  23. In my opinion, he's doing what is necessary to keep getting his name published. He's trying to send up a clear signal to other teams that he'd like to be traded (as if they hadn't figured that out).
  24. I don't think the Bils even attmpted this last year. (Yes, I'm exaggerating to make a point.) I think their pass routes were buttonhooks at various places on the field. Seriously, I'm not sure any other team had as many passes to stationary receivers over the last 3 years.
