  1. My take is they should have gone for it. I know it was 4th and 10, but I would have passed, and tried to force it in somewhere if no one was open. I think many DBs would catch the interception with the hope of making a return, and this would have gained as many yards as a punt. Their offense starting at the 33 is not so bad (tho not great obviously). I thought maybe Morrman might just try passing until they took the delay of game penalty. ...or kick the feild goal. He had plenty of leg on that 42 yard miss (that was very close btw).
  2. I went to sleep around 2AM and popped back up at 5. I've mostly been looking up Ivan info (back down to 155 Mph winds). Football-wise, this is the calm before the storm. I hope none of the Bills are having trouble getting enough sleep....
  3. DirecTV FAQ's: Q: Which games will I see with NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ from DIRECTV®? A: NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ consists of regular season Sunday games broadcast at 1 pm and 4 pm EST. However, due to league and network requirements, games broadcast by your local FOX or CBS station will not be available on NFL SUNDAY TICKET™. If your game is not available in the 700-719 channel range, simply switch over to your local FOX or CBS station. I'm annoyed I won't receive the 'phin's game live... but I guess it is called NFL Sunday Ticket....
  4. I'll make two guesses (cut me some slack, they're longshots): Terrence McGee Pat Williams
  5. What will be the Bills first offensive play-call? First off, I don't expect the play calling to be as offensive as last year. I would like to see a play action pass for the first play, then a commitment to the run game. I expect to see a two back set and a run to the right side.
  6. Travis Henry draw play or screen pass from 6 yards out.
  7. The Americans with Disabilities Act clearly states his employer need to try to accommodate him.
  8. I would have gone for $100 too, but I had just found out my wife was being laid off. She's working at a new job that has better people, work and pay now BTW. I think we have a good chance of winning since only 3 teams gave up over 43 sacks last year (granted we gave up a whopping 51).
  9. Don't know much, but remember it from my Psych classes. Here are some links: http://www.wnep.com/global/story.asp?s=1230348 http://www.healthyplace.com/Communities/An...ight_terror.asp http://dreamemporium.com/night_terrors.html
  10. I think they look very good. Several months ago, I bet Stevestojan (the person) $50 that we would give up under 40 sacks this year, and I'm feeling good about the bet. They have been looking stronger each PS game. I think having a former TE as a head coach, Reed back in the slot, and reintroducing play-action and screen passes will all do wonders for our o-Line stats this year... not to mention the more fundemental coaching and personnel changes mentioned at length here already.
  11. I liked it... and my wife says it's "terrible," which it what she says about all my "good" puns....

  14. Um, that's the actual list, not a prediction. I think they qualify.
  15. I think there are ownership/copywrite issues to consider, but CP indicates he thinks the Bills are roughly $5 Million under the cap this year after PS salaries etc. are taken into account. The big unknown he mentions is any bonuses JP might have received. Next year we look to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 Mil under if we fill the roster with players making the minimum to cover our FA losses. The biggest diffference I see is $5Mil+ dead cap this year and way under $1 Million dead cap next year. This is certainly progress by our GM! ...of course 2005 speculation is a bit premature at this point.
  16. A little bit quieter now A little bit quieter now A little bit quieter now A little bit louder now A little bit louder now A little bit louder now! A little bit louder now! ... Hey-A Hey-A! .. .. .. ..
  17. 8 wins +/- 2 I would be shocked if they won less than 6 or more than 10.... To win more than 10, they need a solid o-line, same strong D and good fortune. To win less than 6 would only happen with a critical injury or two. My guess: JAX W @OAK L NE W @NYJ L MIA W @BAL L ARZ W NYJ W @NE L StL W SEA L @MIA L CLE W @CIN L @SF W PIT L
  18. You know, when I was waiting for the Bills to announce their cuts, I almost posted a semi-fascetious topic called "what happens if a player refuses to take an injury settlement?" Does anyone know whata typical injury settlement looks like? Who knows... maybe they offered him a last minute injury settlement and were forced to IR him when he did not immediately accept.... I really thought they'd settle, cut him, then resign him when he was healthy again.
  19. Sobieski is my biggest suprise on the list. I think he's a better backup than Pucillo.
  20. As bad as Pucillo's decline has been, Sullivan somehow managed to perform at an even lower level....
  21. As fast as I've posted this, I'll bet someone beats me. From Bufflao Bills.com Orchard Park, NY - The Buffalo Bills today waived the following players to bring the roster to 53, the mandatory number required by the NFL: Gerald Dixon CB Alabama Jasen Esposito OL Kutztown Jason Gildon LB Oklahoma Drew Haddad WR Buffalo Luke Lawton FB McNeese State Keith McKenzie DE Ball State Lauvale Sape DT Utah Ken Simonton RB Oregon State Jonathan Smith WR Georgia Tech Ben Sobieski OL Iowa Dominique Stevenson LB Tennessee Marques Sullivan OT Illinois Rod Trafford TE South Carolina Greg Zolman QB Vanderbilt Additionally, QB Travis Brown was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. -Matt
