  1. Bills 20, Pats 18 Bills get 7 from the defense or special teams (or give it to the O 1st-goal)
  2. Hey, Steve (or anyone else, I guess), what happened to Sammy?
  3. Me too. I would love to see this team get fired up. I forget who here said it (first), but this team needs an identity and definitely needs more passion in their play. I almost wish some of the Sabres could stand behind their bench and get our team worked up: "are you gonna let that pipsqueek manhandle you that way!? Go kick that little pu$$y's a$$!"
  4. Me either. And agreed. I will say though that I think Bledsoe has been coached extensively in the last year to make very conservative throws (low and away from the defender). Please don't promote booing our team, but I understand if you are upset and disappointed, and give up on Bledsoe. Frankly, I gave up on him last year.
  5. Booing your QB when playing against Super Bowl champs is sad "support" to give your home team. I would only boo Bledsoe if I was convinced he was trying to lose, or had given up on the team. ...though I might boo Mularkey at a press conference if he didn't pull Bledsoe and it was obvious he had to go. So far this year I'm giving Bledsoe some slack because I think he played well against the Jags, and I think he may have gotten a concussion against the Raiders. (Does anyone know if this happened? It sure looked like it.) Also, until we have a viable alternative, I'll support going with Bledsoe, but will certainly let fly criticism of specific bad decisions he makes.
  6. I'm starting to wonder what kind of fans will show up tomorrow: the ones that make the stadium shake when the opponent has third and long, clap when any hurt player walks off the feild (for either team), or the ones that boo when our QB struggles against a strong opponent....
  7. Thanks, MDH. This is good stuff. I usually watch the games a second time on TiVo, but the Oakland game was erased before I could get back to it. Another thing I wanted to look for is this: does it look like Bledsoe has an outlet receiver, or is everyone running longer routes oblivious to the blitzes? He needs some help, but I'd rather see him take an intentional grounding penalty (at least once in a game) than just stand there.
  8. So 7.5 million pennies ($75,000) is 41,000+ pounds! 20 tons! I definitely think we should try to make this happen. I wonder if you could have a big dump truck pull up and dump them somewhere for the NFL?
  9. I was probably going to see Star Wars.... again.
  10. Not only would it be good to make his whereabouts less certain, but Bledsoe could also throw the ball away out there with little concern for an intentional grounding penalty.
  11. "Yes, it's true, they're mammals.... On the original logo behind me, the artist drew a schlong this long."
  12. I was just wondering where he went. It seems like I saw 10+ posts each day from him then... nothing. Out of curiosity, has anyone seen him posting at BillsZone?
  13. Wow, the Dolphins are getting the snot beat out of them! Half way through the 3rd they have 42 yards passing and 35 yards rushing, and are getting beat up by the Steelers.
  14. Bike down to the Mall (DC national mall, not the stores), check out the Native American celebration going on, then continue to work. Eat lunch and work 3-4 hrs, then bike home, finish some housework and spend time with my wife (watch ER on TiVo?).
  15. Many of you have probably already heard of Memento, so I'll add a couple documentaries that really impressed me you probably don't know. I have belonged to an independant film club over the last few years and they've introduced me to many I never would have found. Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctic Expedition (narrated by Liam Neeson) -Not to be confused with the reenactment thing that was on TV. ...and you thought Buffalo was cold!! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0264578/ Spellbound Surprisingly engaging and endearing. I never would have picked it on my own.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0334405/
  16. My favorite is definitely Memento. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209144/
  17. Drew's current QB rating of 86.3 is 14th best in the league so far this year (a little above average), and is worse than only one of his previous full-year ratings (87.7 in 1997). http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1041 But, don't trust these stats. ...for those of you that just want to bash away, check these out: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1049
  18. I think Drew will be here... unless we want to pay for his salaryand another backup QB. Losman will take over by the end of the year if he's not ready enough at the beginning.
  19. I agree with most of the people who have posted on this topic already. I gave up on Bledsoe at the end of last year but am plesently surprised at his improvement from last year. He is throwing faster and more conservatively (i.e. low or away from any defender that is closing on the receiver), trying to be a possession QB, instead of being his more comfortable homerun self. He did some backsliding this last game and did not look sharp at times, especially taking a couple of those sacks (though at least he's not fumbling!). I really wonder if he got a concussion during the game. I've been traveling for work and haven't read anything the last couple days. Does anyone know? I'd be thrilled if he played like he did against the Jags in 12 of the remaining 14 games this season.
  20. I really think he did too, but I think it had been whistled by that point. Still, that seems like a pretty good place to challenge. ...and why would they whistle "forward progress" on a play like that??
  21. I'll go on record saying I don't think Drew is playing too poorly, but did own a few of the incompletions and a couple of the sacks today. Overall, I think he's played pretty well this year, though I was completely done with him at the end of last year. Drew is 30 out of 50 for 351 yards. 2 Tds, 1 INT. He's clearly been coached to play conservatively and not make mistakes, so the D has a chance to win the game... and he's doing a decent job of that, but has been a weak leader, disappearing when needed the most.
  22. What, no one has made that their avatar yet?
  23. Don't deny you need to change. Getting over Denial is step #1....
