  1. I agree. Henry's ran about how he always has. He typically would start to look good as soon as everyone else started getting tired, and seemed to get pumped up after giving and receiving some hits. He's not as smooth or elusive as WM, but his YPC is about the same I'd bet (haven't looked in a month or two).
  2. Sorry the formatting sucks....Overall, he's playing about the same as he always has (except his phenom 2002 start). 3. Yeah, it would be fun to see Sam at wide receiver...
  4. I completely agree on all counts, DC Tom, and on many of your points, ICE. I think Losman is not ready yet, and the decision to put him in last week and not this week has to be for some less-than-obvious reason (the obvious normal reasons don't add up). Maybe they wanted to humble Losman, or maybe quiet the expected calls for Bledsoe's head after the game he "threw." The only two straight-up explanations I can think of are 1) that the coaches actually thought Losman was ready last week, and changed their minds after they saw how poorly he performed or 2) MM is the type of coach that will only pull a QB if they are not performing well or are hurt (meaning putting JP in was more about DB than JPL). Bledsoe played quite well today, as did his supporting cast. He always seems to do his best when challenged for his job....
  5. It comes up fine for me. Do you havea private connection to the internet, or are you somewhere like school that might have it blocked? I'm glad there's a reason you need help w stats. 6. Anyone know a good stats - conversion website? ...sorry Sue, I have to tease you for this one...
  7. That seemed like a weird choice to me too. I thought the announcers and production team were consistently poor all day today, not mentioning penalties, misnaming players, and missing pertinent observations all day. (Did anyone else see that it looked like WM stepped out of bounds on that mind-blowing run?)
  8. Me too! It's fun to watch our run defense, especially in short yardage situations. We've let team walk all over converting 3rd aand long passes, but the run D has been very strong almost every game. I really hope we re-sign Pat. While he doesn't flsh the same explosiveness as Sam, he's a constant force in the middle and moves very well for a big guy.
  9. http://dictionary.law.com/default2.asp?sel...ld=%7C%7C%7C%7C I'm actually suprised this definition of selfdefense doesn't clarify the situation better. In a law class I took (I'm not a lawyer) I remember the prof stressing that self defense has to be a lesser reaction in almost every case, and would be thrown out if another option was available (such as walking away).
  10. I thought I saw him dressed. He and Ritmann both looked like they had promise in preseason. But, I was surprised they made the roster, since they looked like they'd get smoked by starters if they didn't improve significantly.
  11. It's true, we're only 3 games out of the playoffs (if we win a tiebreaker) with 8 remaining.... I think it is as interesting to note that there are only 3 teams that have won their last 3 games or more (GB, SD, Pitt). and 2 that have lost more than the last 2 in a row (Carolina, SF). Now that's parity.
  12. I too think it will be very interesting to see if they activate Peters and/or McFarland. Has anyone been counting how many times McFarland's been active? I've been thinking he and Ritzmann are two candidates for being snuck onto the PS next year if they are still developing, instead of any draftees that will draw more attention. For all his amazing size, speed, and hype, Peters looked pretty horrible in preseason. I hope he was just an untrained talent that can contribute in the next year or two once he gets some proper coaching. Maybe just teach him 3 or 4 different plays??
  13. Mark, eball was just throwing a personality construct out there. You're not getting negative, are you? (just teasing, I mostly agree) I'd say I'm about 50% EO and 50% TFF, but would guess anyone that remembers my (comparitively small number of)posts would say I'm an EO. I took a bet at the beginning of the year, for instance, that the Bills would surrender under 40 sacks.
  14. It looked clean to me. I was surprised there weren't more booing at that call.
  15. It was great to see Kelsay stepping up. I was definitely having Hansen flashbacks on a couple plays (tho Kelsay's neck is a bit shorter). Has anyone heard from Cornhusker Bob, or whatever his name was, asking about Kelsay in the preseason?
  16. I think other teams' offers will similarly be determined by their needs and the players available. If, for instance a salary-cap-strapped team has an okay RB, and no depth, TH might be a very good fit for them if the only ones in the draft look either too expensive or risky in the pros.
  17. Smart ass. So he mistyped a bit.... I think it depends on the players out there and don't know enough whether this is going to be a deep draft in areas we need help.... If you can get the player(s) you want, then you deal (up or down). I'd be pretty psyched to have two 2nd rounders. I tend to think that skill players in the top of the first round are not worth the risk for the $$ and I'm thrilled our first rounders from the last couple years seem to have real talent.
  18. Okay, so here's a different direction to take this: does anyone know if the ref's are looking at High Definition monitors when making their replay calls? It would be pretty ridiculous if they weren't, though I doubt the one(s) on the field are HD.... As far as the "might have caughta break" comment goes, I simply took that as the AP writer was covering multiple games and didn't take the time to look closely and form his own opinion. He was more commenting on the commentary at the end than the game itself.
  19. Bills win by two, scoring in the last two minutes of the game. 26-24? It should be interesting to compare the RB stats as the game goes on. My guess: WM runs for more yards than Curtis, but scores one less TD.
  20. I think we;ll see the underhand pitch to WM come back, and a reverse (or fake reverse) to Evans. What else?
  21. Okay, so it's probably not what you meant, but comeback player... how can Willis not be on the list? Of the ones you listed, Vurtis Martin gets my vote.
  22. Sobieski didn't make the final roster (which surprised many). It's hard to beleive Pucillo couldn't win a backup job after being a starter so recently, though I do want our backups to play better than I saw from him on many occasions (before the recent blows to his ego). McFarland seems like he might develop, but who knows. He'll be fun to look for next training camp.
  23. Okay, I'll be this week's optimist. In a shocker, the Bills will win by 20 as the Cards self-destruct.
