  1. Great post and a great take on current affairs! No, I don’t think that the Bills should invest resources heavily on the DL anymore, not with the results that they have been getting. We have Von and Rosseau and if we keep Oliver then this is good enough of a nucleus for the DL. Bring back Shaq and Phillips and be done, the rest can be FAs, lower draft picks and possibly a trade.
  2. I think you bring up valid points but the results are the same or worse by year’s end. It’s starting to be something to expect. This team has been through a lot but NOBODY expected them to come out and play the way they did. That can’t be denied. Well they have been through a lot this last particular game they had a TON of reason to come out and play better than what they did. I think the worse part other than the actual butt whipping that the Bengals handed at HOME in front our fans AND in front of Hamlin himself was Beane’s PC. He came out as defeated and with no answers or solutions. He even came over as a bit defensive and said a very surprisingly stupid remark when he stated about not wanting to suck as bad to be able to be in the draft position to get Jamar Chase. Wow, I didn’t see that one coming! Hey Beane, you had multiple chances to draft well but you didn’t from Harrison Phillips (3rd rd), Cody Ford (2nd rd) and Zack Moss (3rd rd). Where are these players now?? To compound it even more these picks were sandwiched around picks that included Tremaine Edmunds (1st rd), Ed Oliver (1st rd), Devin Singletary (3rd rd), Dawson Knox (3rd rd), Epenesa (2nd rd) and Basham (2nd rd). Very uninspiring drafts to say the least. Beane should trade away all of his 1-3 rd picks and start drafting from the 4th rd on, he seems to find better value in the mid to late rds. We need better players.
  3. Here’s where I’m at with these people/position(s). Beane-I have no confidence in his drafting abilities, too many premium picks that aren’t even on the team anymore. McDermott-Here’s where the softness comes into play. Great guy, great leader but went for too much happy family syndrome. I don’t see him taking any accountability or holding any one to it. I think I’ll throw up if I hear one more “we’ll learn from this” or “there’s some plays we would like back”. Too much canned cliches and not enough results when the rubber hits the road. The clapping and cheerleading is tiresome, get better with the Xs and Os or get someone who is. Frazier-I’m not even going to list anything here, just get rid of him. Frazier should have been shown the door 13 seconds after the 13 seconds’ game. The DL, except for Von Miller and Rosseau, is poor. Unbelievable the amount of resources that were dumped into that position to only have the bozos that we got. As a group they couldn’t sack a field full of potatoes. The secondary-It’s hard to criticize them with all that they have been through but it’s not in good shape by this year’s end. Aging/aged Safeties, major injury to our star CB and after Elam there’s really nothing but back ups due to a 7th rd draft pick and street FAs. The speed back there is about as fast as a tax return and the results are similar as well, always holding hope to see it but always disappointed when you do. Beane had the balls to say something to the effect that he had to draft a CB (Elam) with a premium pick just to shut people up and get them off his back. No Beane the real reason/answer should be is that it was sorely needed! The OL-Omg, where do I start??!!! Dawkins needs to shut up and put up. We need a better LT and just make him a RT and reassess him when his contract is up. The Bills need to slide Bates to Center and retire Morse. The rest of the OL isn’t worth much other than a player or 2 that should be back ups. if Rodgers does end up a Jet than I expect the Bills to finish no higher than 3rd in the division next year. Flush a year and hope for better resources, better contracts and better players to kick in so they don’t lose the window of opportunity with Josh.
  4. We feasted on the poor. The Bills won most of their games by the skinniest of margins against teams we should have smoked. Come post season the Bills get eliminated by the better teams, it’s starting to becoming a trend. This last one was just an old fashion whupping.
  5. It stings but it’s true. Good guys, good, go home and play with the kids! Beane, quit playing Santa Claus and handing out Pegula’s money. McDermott, stand up and take accountability, admit that it all begins with you. Force Josh to take care of the ball better! He put it on the carpet 16 times! Thank God we only lost it 6 times out of it. Furthermore make him take the underneath throws more instead of launching it 40+ yards when it’s 3rd and 7! Hey Josh, quit with the advertisements and get your head back into playing QB and pay attention to the above suggestions. The only physical player outside of Josh, who I might add is an offensive player, is Milano. I loved it when he hammered Miami’s QB Thompson as he was just about about out of bounds, especially that he did it right in front of their bench and didn’t give 2 hoots about it. He sent a message to them alright but better yet he showed the 2 idiots that were chasing out of bounds. Beane, get some players in here that are physical, quit making Feliciano look like a genius. When it comes to football this is the kind of mentality that the Bills sorely need. Coffee is for closers!
  6. Point well taken. Jones, Ford and Moss, that’s 2 2nd rders and Moss was a 3rd rder in 5 drafts that were just pissed away. I love Beane but just those 3 picks alone are proven to be mistakes.
  7. Spot on about Espenesa, don’t think it’s time for Basham simply because of his contract. Any of those DL that are near to a new contract needs to go, tear it down and start again but with a better strategy. None of it will be worthwhile though if they still hang on to Frazier, he’s as much of the issue as any of the players. I would of like to have Schwartz back but we’re a few weeks too late on him, Cleveland scooped him up.
  8. It’s not a hateful idea, especially after listening to Beane in his PC. Beane went for it and between a combination of injuries and underperformance and what have you he’s finding himself in quite the predicament with the salary cap. Oliver is ready to get paid and it looks like we can’t afford him. Great take, I’m curious on how Beane is going to handle this off season, he’s got a lot of tough decisions to make.
  9. One can more easily find an elite WR in the 2nd rd than an elite RB. As far as OL go that can be solved in various ways, through the draft, FA, trade etc etc. I’m over trying to make these 3rd rd RBs into stars, it hasn’t worked. It’s like what the old cliche says, you get what you pay for. Josh is never gonna last, just look at this last game, we got destroyed because Josh wasn’t wearing a Superman cape.
  10. Think about it, the guy chirps and tweets and makes all kinds of weird noises but I don’t hear nothing from him when he’s playing other than penalties at the worse opportune times. Nice guy but public speaking isn’t his forte, ya schnow??! Btw, what the hell does that suppose to mean?? Meanwhile Beane must be sweating it, hearing the Mafia chanting his name, thinking what the freak did I do??! Looks like some of the Mafia wants to put a hit on him. Tapping his fingers he must be dwelling on who he’s going to serve up as a sacrificial lamb so to keep the Mob off his door. Better hurry though Beane, the pitchforks are out and the torches are lit. Bye bye Frazier, you won the lottery! In what world did you think that that coverage was going to stop anyone??! Early in the game when I saw Jamar Chase completely by himself that’s when I started to come down from my week long high, thinking ut oh, please not again. Too late, you continued with your “-play-off caliber” defense that you seem to get worse, or should I say better at. It has finally developed into a full blown no coverage at all! No need to worry though, I’m sure later in the off season we’ll get more of the real story as players are going out the door and don’t have to abide by any gag rules. Take the first job available because it will be the best opportunity that you’ll ever get. The more time that goes by more of what happened will come out and the opportunities will become worse and worse for you. What a sham! Nothing to fear though we still got McDermott, who has to be the smartest mofo in the league from all the things he learned from these games. This would be pretty funny if it weren’t censored but as I write it I got a tear in my eye instead. This isn’t funny anymore, we’re screwed.
  11. This is a great perspective, thanks for posting it.
  12. It’s good to see that there’s still some kind of fight left in Buffalo.
  13. Can’t have the internal turmoil so either trade Josh, and that’s not going to happen or get rid of Diggs. Shed his contract, get a return in assets, draft pick(s) and/or player(s) and rebuild this offense that is more balanced. Now I don’t fault Diggs for being frustrated but this offense is lopsided and needs to be more reasonable. Earlier in another post I clamored for Texas RB Bijan Robinson and while that may not happen my point is still the same. Provide better playmakers than the ones we have and get some of this pressure off of Josh, it’s too much and teams should not be this reliant on one player. I don’t think it would be that difficult to fix this OL. While better players are needed I believe that they can be obtainable. Kansas City replaced their whole OL in one year and they are doing fine. Make Kromer earn his paycheck with a formidable run game. It looks like there is some significant changes in store for the coaching staff and the roster but have it make sense with a logical strategy and personnel. Tone down this chaotic pass happy offense and get some balance to it. To me some obvious departures would be Frazier, possibly Dorsey, Singletary, Davis and a couple/few OL. I don’t expect Poyer to be back either, we need better speed in the secondary. It’s going to be quite the off season, Beane is going to have his hands full but it’s sorely needed because today was a total embarrassment.
  14. Here’s some of my reasoning for Robinson being a good pick for us. The Bills have used 3 out of 4 years a high pick(s) on the RB position and they still don’t have a bell cow/elite RB. Using a late 1st rd pick also provides a 5th year option. Without getting into it too much but with our skilled position players’ contracts this option can provide big benefits to the roster shaping for the present and for the future. Having an elite RB would actually help the 2nd WR position imo. Having one can help lessen the burden on that 2nd WR position. Something needs to be done NOW if you want to protect Josh. He cannot keep on going at this rate and still expect him to have any great length to his career. Simply put protect Josh from Josh because he will never pull up when it comes down to making a play on the field. Under Kromer’s watch we led the league in rushing back 2015-2016. He is primarily a run block OL coach, less of a pass blocking coach. No doubt the Bills need better OL but they don’t have to be high draft picks, just better players. Anyone still remember Mike Williams? I do. To me drafting high OL are more of the exception than the rule, too many potential busts. Help in the secondary is always a need imo, especially at the Safety position currently but who is to say that Hamlin can never play football again and if so, under McDermott’s watch we have had a lot of success in that tier of defense without using a ton of high end resources in the draft. Make no mistake about it, a Kamara type RB like Robinson is EXACTLY what this offense needs and lacks at this time and also for the forebear able future. Imagine having Josh, Diggs, Davis or a better replacement, Beasley/Crowder/Shakir, Robinson and Cook with a revamped OL. Yeah, this works and I like it!
  15. Is there any shot for the Bills to draft him? He sure would make our offense a whole bunch different. https://youtube.com/watch?v=5Mmtfmqb0MI&feature=shares
  16. If the Bills were to trade for CMC then I wouldn’t worry over the contract or the compensation because in Beane I trust. What would concern me would be the potential interruption of team chemistry, that aspect I don’t know what to expect. I’d be curious what the potential ramifications would be.
  17. Wow, I don’t ever remember seeing so many emojis on one post! With that being said I just came to a realization that maybe people are looking at these 1 score losses the wrong way. Either you win a game or you lose it so when the Bills do lose a game it isn’t by much because they are a very good team and they don’t get blown out and when they do win a game it is more times than not a convincing win by a large margin because of the same reason as when they lose, it’s once again because they are a very good team.
  18. I hated that the Bills were so heavily favored going into the season, it was designed for failure from jump street. It’s pathetic how disrespected the Bills have been traditionally and then go to the greatest team on earth, no balance whatsoever. once again I’ll say that the Ravens and Chiefs’ games holds great importance to the Bills’ goals. Win them and we’ll be right where we want to be. I will say that although I greatly appreciate Kyle Brandt beating the drum for us the last couple of seasons but he innocently actually put more pressure on the Bills. I also agree wholeheartedly in what he said about Bills Mafia, stating don’t make be crybabies and hide behind excuses. I believe that the majority of fans out there know about the Bills being decimated with injuries and they were playing in extreme weather conditions. It’s a good way to alienate people, nobody wants to hear excuses.
  19. We’re 0-1 in that kind of game this year. Chin up, at least we’re consistent!
  20. The 13 seconds, the 4th and 1 against Tennessee, the blunder in Jacksonville and the loss in the title game the season before! Actually that’s 3 costly games last year but winning one of those 3 losses last year would of made a huge dig fence in the post seeding that may have very well have costed us a Super Bowl. No need to pull the scab off the wound but man it’s starting to be something that’s starting to happen annually, I hope this latest loss isn’t one of them! With all that being said give Miami their due, complaining only cheapens us. I live in SW Florida and was actually going to the game but at 8:00 am yesterday I was outside smoking and by the time I was done I was soaked. I ended up not going despite having free tickets, it was way too hot for me and I knew it. Last year I actually went to the game and left mid 3rd quarter because of the heat and that is SO unlike me but keep this in mind that EVERYBODY played in that heat, meaning BOTH teams. Folks, we’re gonna be find but the Ravens and The Chiefs’ games are starting to loom larger than ever before. As for Miami, I’m anxiously waiting for the rematch!
  21. No, I’m not being sarcastic at all. I knew that Josh Carrie’s some weight, as in the Dorsey endorsement, but I never saw or heard about the Knox situation specifically. I was just wondering if there was an actual article or interview where Josh or anyone else directly stated that. If not that’s cool. Hey, I just blasted Florio for taking the Colts over the Bills in the play offs. This team/franchise is like family to me so I want to know everything I can about them and who is saying what. Go Bills!
  22. Did Josh really do that?? If so could you be kind enough to post a link to it so I can read about it? Thanks!
