  1. I was really talking about the ramifications of the outcome of the game. It's too bad that people can't respond to a post with any true imput. If the post isn't sensible, then why respond at all? I still wish you a nice weekend.
  2. Usually when a team makes a coaching change the team responds with improvement. Nobody wants to look like it was their fault. With Moulds and Co. I'm sure that you can expect maximum effort and hopefully better results. Holcomb isn't coming in to just hand off the ball. I think that we will all see quickly how the state of this offense truly is. Either the QB and WR play gets off on the right foot or they never get going. While JP's passes haven't been very accurate, I'm curious to see how this O-line performs. If we get beat at home by the fish then this is going to be a looong season. There will be more backbiting than a hound full of fleas. I personally don't have a problem with Moulds speaking up and out about the status of the offense but he better back up his talk with some positive performance. If he doesn't contribute or make a difference then he can expect a pretty big backlash. Unfortunately, most of it I'm afraid, will come internally. One thing that I wish he would do. I wish he will keep his spit in his own mouth. I mean really, that's disgusting and classless. I wish nothing but the best for this team but they are very dangerously walking a very thin line on self destruction. I can't believe how much of a potential powder keg this team has become in such a short time into the season. A resounding victory would mend alot of fences and really make a big difference for the team's unity. If not, who knows what kind of kaos will result from a home loss from one of our worst enemies. Here's hoping that the Bills right the ship in time. Good luck to all and I hope you have a very nice weekend.
  3. Hey PromoTheRobot, I was thinking the same thing earlier today about JP just tuning everybody and just follow his instints. At this point I don't think Losman would perform worse. Let him use his natural abilities and not overanalyze. It appears to me that when JP tries to be a student it is causing him confusion that leads to indecisions. He was drafted for his athletic ability not his game planning. And no he's not Peyton Manning, but then again he's not suppose to be.
  4. So many perspectives have been voiced since his contract has been nearing maturity. I myself felt that he should be kept if for reasonable money. After seeing and realizing our defense can be so dominating, it's important that we keep the youth and nucleus intact. Clements and McGee can be the cornerstones on this defense not just now but more importantly, in the future. How many more years do Vincent and Milloy really have? We have a great mix of youth and mature players on our D-line and LBs. Not really knowing the potential of our back-up LBs I think it's safe to say that we should get at least a few years out of Spikes. Fletcher and Posey, well, I'm not quite so sure. Looking and insulating the future can start right here, right now. It's best not to try and replace all the parts at one time. I say let's secure our secondary now. Our offensive players at the skilled positions are young and are built for the future. This team can and will have a great several years in being dominate. Sorry if this post is a little incoherent, but it was just a passing thought before I leave work. Matter of fact, they're turning the lights off on me now. Gotta go but before I do I just want to congratulate every Bill fan on a fantastic year. Go Bills!
  5. Have you HERD? The STAMPEDE is on!!! GO BUFFALO!
  6. It's disturbing to realize in the aftermath of yesterday's game that we could be without one of our star defensive players. Was this Detroit known as a scoring machine? Who cares what their offense could do! Our defense is sound and we didn't need to see our starters on the field. If JP needs more experience, then fine, let him play. What concerns me is, if this is true, then all the more the defense should be preserved. I do like Mularkey but he is a young coach. Even if Clements is ok, I for one, wouldn't like to see this situation repeated. Oh, by the way, is it my imagination or was Vincent involved in this unfortunate turn of events? If so, maybe we better redshirt him.
  7. I don't disagree about the importance of retaining Clements. I think that there's numerous options and time left. As far as losing Moulds at the end of the year, who knows. There is no way that Buffalo is going to pay him that kind of money for next year. This too I agree with but I think Moulds will restructure again if that is possible. As far as him lasting to the 10th round, well I never said that there are Einsteins in this league. It's a QB heavy type league and if you haven't guessed by now, our little JP Losman wasn't even a thought. All we need, and Moulds, is for JP not to get too amped up and just managed this offense. There's plenty of weapons on it and he doesn't have to be a superstar. As long as he can do that, I promise you that by season's end Moulds will make us proud.
  8. Good for you jarthur31 and dawgg. It just makes me shake my head when I hear people looking to dump Moulds. Besides how he has bled blue for this organization, he's been a great mentor for any of our past and current WRs. Remember Price? Hasn't done crap without Moulds. Sure looks like a fair comparison with the Lee Evans situation. Before anyone starts blasting me on his up and down seasons, let me just ask how many GMs, head coaches, offensive coordinators, AND QBs (not to mention that none of these have been too memorable) has this poor guy endured? The ONLY thing that I regret about Moulds is that this guy got robbed of truly displaying his abilities during his career. IMHO, if this franchise had any kind of continuity during his career here, we would be talking Hall of Fame. I chose Moulds in my FF draft Friday night in the 10th round and I'm sorry to have disrespected him by taking him so late, he deserves better. Talley is and always will be my favorite Bill but Eric isn't far behind him. I'm grateful that he chose to play for my favorite team. We'll be sorry when he's gone.
  9. I agree with Wiz. If TD and Clements can't come to reasonable terms, then slap the franchise tag on him. This would another year and opportunity to resolve this issue. My understanding is that the player gets paid what the top 5 players are at this position. What do you think that will be? I'll take a stab and say somewheres in the neighborhood of 9 million. I think that might be a better scenario than to overpay now or to lose him at the end of the year. opefully this will all be resolved BEFORE the beginning of the season.
  10. Wow, McNally's face is scary! I wonder if he uses it for his blocking techniques. If you can't block 'em, then try scaring 'em.
  11. Hey jzmack, I appreciate your perspective. While I may have been disappointed with Wire's past performance, I will say that I always admired his mentality. Sometimes in the long run a player's never give in resolve can outweigh one's athleticism and/or ability. I hope in this case that this proves true.
  12. Just an observation. Where do you draw the line from an all out effort (Parrish diving for a ball in practice) from reckless abandonment (last year Vincent plowing into Losman in practice)? Either case, it seems like another unfortunate incident for the Bills.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised that if Gandy fails to be a decent LT, then Teague moves over and Preston jumps in at C. We might be able to compensate the C position with 2 massive Gs. It's not like we're looking for a Orlando Pace-type T. No matter what happens, I'm not too worried about this LT thing. Our braintrusts WILL have this issue resolved before too long.
  14. I agree with BuffaloRebound. Let's see how the Green Turds, I mean Birds, like a nice low-ball, jerk around offer like they gave Donahoe. Oh, we're interested, MAYBE we'll give you a 3rd rder or maybe a 4th. Nah, would you take a 5th and be happy? Like we're a bunch of idiots and are desperate for their cheap ass ways. I hope they choke on Simon and his big, fat contract.
  15. Hey, thanks for the great report! tHis is great insight for those of us who moved out of the area. Any other news of note would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Don't start with that "I heard of him" crap. That's really getting worn out. As far as what I would give for Williams, I agree with you. I wouldn't give a wooden nickel for the guy, but that's a personal opinion and not a business one. Unfortunately in this day and age compensation is based on athleticism and not ideals. There will be SOME team that will be interested in this quitter.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure a bunch of you will) but if Ricky Williams waits to get reinstated after 1 full year of retirement then he only has to miss 4 games. Will Miami trade him? I'm sure they will at some point in time, it will be just a matter of when. I wouldn't like to see Henry hanging around on the market and see another quality RB become available. The pre-season games could provide Travis Henry (and the Bills) the greatest opportunity for the highest value. Based of course on an injury befalling another team. If the Titans' Brown becomes injured again, then let it happen during this time. Could you imagine how they would really have to belly up for a fan favorite then? They would be grateful if it only costs a 3rd rder.
  18. I'm bored to death at work and it just gets sickening hearing these whiny little brats with all their demands as they get paid huge money. I'd like to see these candy asses have to really WORK for a living like ninety something percent on this message board has to do for a FRACTION of the money. Sometimes you just get fed up, you know what I mean?
  19. If WM thinks he can extort the Bills and TH is gonna pull a female impersonation, then boot these brats! WM should be thankful that Buffalo took a shot on his gimp @$$. Shaun Alexander has never missed a game. WM would pull a HUGE compensation for the Bills. Liquidate these two idiots, create big cap room, accumulate multiple draft picks and veteran players in return and fortify the current roster and then pay one big contract to Alexander. Now I know that this is not a realistic scenario, but I LOVE that movie "Falling Down". Too bad the same principles can't apply here.
  20. Please don't let us go thru the season with Lindell. At one point Hall was productive with the Jets.
  21. I don't think that you can really classify the Titans as a legitament threat to be a play-off team, so I'm not too worried about them. Even outside of that, we have to be more concern about us as a team and the fortification of making the post season. Right now the TE position should be a concern for us and if we can get a proven blocking TE then this should be a priority. Furthermore, I think it's quite evident that Henry has to go. He played college ball for Tennessee and it would make good sense for that organization to make a trade for a fan favorite. I would expect them to be willing to pay a little bit better than the next franchise for Henry's services.
  22. C'moooon Titans, step up to the pump! It will only hurt for a minute. Me personally, I'd be happy with TE Erron Kinney and a late round draft pick. I think that the Titans would make a better trade partner for us than the Jaguars. Either way we're in a much better position to deal now. Looks like Donahoe made the right call again. Go Bills!
  23. I'm sorry I even participated in in reading this post. It's very disturbing to not only read about such a inhumane act but it's even more disappointing to think that people take joy and find humor in destroying other human beings. I thought that this kind of primative act only happened during the Roman Empire. It's sad to think that in 2000 years that not much has changed.
  24. The Henry debate has been raging on for sometime now and there has been several perspectives on his value and on how to resolve this situation. If Henry does not have enough value to bring Buffalo a fair and needed return in either for a player or a future draft pick then he should be kept for insurance as a back-up for MaGahee right? Surely no one thinks that he should be cut outright do they? I'm assuming that the afore mentioned resolutions are accurate. Based on this, I have a question then. If MaGahee were to ever go down with a season or even a career ending injury, does anyone really think that TH would be the solution for the Bills? Let's face it, he fumbles, he stumbles and he bumbles. While there might not be another MaGahee on the roster, I think that Buffalo has other RBs that are closer to TH's abilities than TH is to MaGahee. The most that we have Henry for is one more season. If we ever lost MaGahee we'd have a considerable drop off at this position. Period.
  25. Bill, I don't take offense at all. When you state that the post is hypothetical, so is most of this message board. That's the beauty of it, to discuss thoughts and ideas. Travis Henry certainly has SOME kind of value and to say that a draft pick and/or another player could net us a return on a higher caliber player is not unreasonable. The higher powers can and will determine the value of such a trade if it were to be. Bottom line is that TH situation is really starting to become a very big problem imo. It's time to start reaccessing the overall picture. If that means for us to trade Henry and/or a player to fill a need then I think Buffalo would be better off to rid themselves of this potental headache. Hey, thanks for your input it's appreciated.
