  1. Indy was 25th when they played them. It's amazing what happens to a D's ranking after they play the Bills. NE's will go up too in the DVOA rankings. The Bills offense gooses the stats of every defense they play.
  2. Yeah, but isn't that exactly what a backup-quality vet qb is supposed to do? He's not recommending him as a long-term starter. Regardless, it'll never happen.
  3. He's not coming here, but I think you're misunderstanding the recommendation. He wouldn't come as a starter, but as arguably the best backup in the league.
  4. Booger had the best line of any announcer this season: Kelvin Benjamin is one Popeye's Biscuit away from being a tight end.
  5. I'm changing my mind to thinking that they should trade him. On around half of his runs, it seems, he's getting slammed right away in the backfield. Those are no-chance plays and teams know to key on him. You can see what he can still do when gets out in space on passes, but he's useless in the run game because opponents have zero respect for the passing game. He can obviously be a successful player, but not here. It depends on whether one thinks he can be a valuable contributor next year.
  6. The Bills' collective passer rating is 52.8 and opponents' collective qb rating is 93.7. The -40.9 differential is ... unbelievable. Passer rating differential is the single-best predictor of wins and losses in the NFL.
  7. We'll see. I think it's very odd. I'm more pessimistic about this than you, obviously. I hope you're right and I'm wrong.
  8. Don't you think it's odd for a gm to suggest the very real possibility of the worst possible outcome? Teams simply don't do that. He volunteered it on his own too; he wasn't asked about it specifically. This comes in a situation in which we were all told a mere 13 days ago that it'd be 2-3 weeks and that the injury was "not believed to be serious."
  9. I'm not projecting. I'm merely reacting to a comment from the friggin' gm in which he doesn't rule out Allen missing the season. That is both new and genuine news.
  10. Um, the Bills got up to 333 yards tonight. ?
  11. We scored an offensive td vs Houston ...
  12. I have said for a while now that his injury is quite possibly worse than many believe, especially given his reliance on velocity. IIRC, Andrews said it was a partial tear. It is a serious injury. also, fans need to understand that agents have a large voice in these situations.
  13. No he didn’t. The Browns went 10-6 that year but missed the playoffs. I honestly think Anderson sprained his I’ve-had-enough-of-this tendon at the end there.
  14. This won’t happen, but the venomous anti-Taylor vitriol evidenced in this thread is as embarrassing as it is depressing. It represents the worst of the hot-take social media world we live in.
  15. I don’t. The Bills’ talent on O is the worst I’ve ever seen for this franchise since at least the early 80s. And it’s probably worse than those early 80s teams.
  16. I feel for the security guys who have to do pat-downs on Monday night!
  17. I'll laugh. I'm a simple man.
  18. CJ Spiller's 2012 season is probably the best season by a Bills offensive player since Eric Moulds in 1998. This will sound strong, but I actually don't even think it's all that debatable. He averaged 6.0 ypc and over 10 yards per reception! Spiller was just not the same player. He had a truly unique speed/quickness combo that had clearly eroded by 2014. He got banged up a LOT. Nothing really major, but lots of small tears and sprains. Those guys tend to have short shelf lives, but in their elite years, they're game breakers. I'm not disputing that Gailey was good, but I also think it's unfair to judge Daboll given the talent here. And I gotta say, anyone who thinks that the talent this year even remotely resembles the 2011-12 teams is smoking something. They weren't elite talent teams, but my god. The one genuinely good player on this team (McCoy) has been banged up all season and may well be traded soon. One other point about guys who did well elsewhere and declined afterward: Chris Ivory. He was elite for a little while, and now he's just decent (not bad, mind you). It's the curse of the 30-year old RB (and Ivory is actually 30 with a lot miles). Guys wear down at the RB position fast. PS - Scroll down. https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/cj-spiller/3363
  19. I thought it was funny. This game will likely be unwatchable.
  20. Fred spent his entire career here except for the one season in Seattle when he was like 52 years old!! Come on, C. Biscuit. Johnson was doing fine in SF but was hurt a lot in 2014. He was also in decline, which he wasn't from 2010-2012. He got banged up a lot after 2012. Saying players didn't perform well after leaving one team where they performed well is a red herring. Does that make Adrian Peterson and LaDanian Tomlinson lesser talents? All players have windows, and they tend to be in their younger years. There are exceptions, but they're few and far between. I like Gailey as OC - I never said I didn't! All I'm saying is that this unit is straight up garbage (starting with the QB position) and worse than what Chan had. At least Chan had a vet QB with mobility who could run a sophisticated offense. That counts for a TON.
  21. This just isn't true. Stevie Johnson washed out because of *injury* and injury alone. Even still, he had 80 catches over his final two seasons, and he missed significant time in both of them. Spiller was actually an elite player for a couple of seasons before dings added up and took away his one saving asset (quickness/blazing speed). Jackson was flat out good, to the point where he was leading the league in rushing 11 weeks into the season in 2011 (he broke his leg). The o-line wasn't great, but it was better than what it is now. And the QB, for all of his manifold flaws, was a LOT better than what we currently have.
  22. You're fixating on draft position, which isn't relevant. Stevie Johnson was way better than a seventh rounder, and Fred Jackson was a bona fide good player. Fitz was and is better than what we have.
  23. Watson this year is at least average. He's not even having a bad season. He's on pace for over 4,300+ yards, 23 TDs, 470 yards rushing, and 8.0 ypa.
