  1. Well written post. Brilliant in fact! I also found the subsequent postings quite indicative of the declining level of rhetoric on this board. Surprise surprise that the people with a bunch of little buffaloes beneath their screen names actually read the post, while the new generation of mindless dimwits with all of 2 posts posted insightful things like "f u".
  2. I agree with bf34. Papa's comment is typical of way too many people on this board... "but we will lose the team!" Wake up! This team will or will not be sold when Ralph Wilson dies and not before. Something HAS to be done to bring a change to the organization. I did like the idea of staging a mass walk-out. Empty seats show a lack of interest in a team, while a walkout is an intentional protest.
  3. It seems we as Buffalo fans are being held hostage by the owner. Why? This is what most people on the board here have expressed. 1- Fans cannot revolt. If fans stop buying merchandise and going to games, the team may be sold and moved somewhere else. So, 2- In order to keep our team here, albeit a festering turd of a team with a terrible FO and a roster that is 70% putrid, we are stuck supporting Ralph's losing formula until he kicks the bucket. At which time we may or may not lose the team after all. The question is, what do fans do? I love the Bills, but this has been the first season I have not been able to stomach watching every game in full. I'm not supporting the franchise anymore by buying merchandise or tickets to show my displeasure at this teams, direction. This, is the only real voice I have and 1 person removing their patronage means little. But, if I suggested others stop doing so as well then I am a "bad fan" who hates the team. I have been a Bills fan for years. Like everyone else, I wish there was some way to convey to our owner that he needs to either sell the team, or make wholesale changes. But it looks like that will never happen. So the question is. How do we as fans get through to the organization that we're not "buying" their bs? Are the 2 options above all we have?
  4. Agreed. Our defense is absolutely terrible.
  5. Resigning Kelsay does NOT fill a hole. If anything it creates a hole for 4 years. You need DIFFERENCE makers to play at OLB who can get pressure on the QB. Kelsay is a liability in coverage, plays the run worse than he did when he was a DE and gets 0 pressure on the QB. He is objectively terrible.
  6. Wait for the next text that says Levi Brown has been named our starting QB!
  7. I think everyone will agree Maybin is the devil and Oher would have been a MUCH better pick. I'm still happy with Spiller over Bulaga though.
  8. I see a lot of complaining here about how Chan has handled the RB and QB situations. The fact of the matter is that Spiller and Edwards both outplayed their competition in the preseason. That being said, Chan has always said that the preseason is not the regular season. He has also said they are still trying to see what they have in the cupboard as far as talent. It seems clear to me that they gave Edwards one last chance, he failed and so they cut ties with him. The kid has potential, but was too mentally weak to be productive under pressure so they let him go. Same thing with the RBs. Spiller didn't produce out of the gate and they gave someone else a chance to step up. I'm sure I will be criticized for my view here, but I just don't see how this is clueless and working without a plan. In my opinion Chan is emptying the cupboard and scrapping people who he thinks cannot contribute to the rebuilding of the team. Edwards-no, Marshawn-yes. We need a roster purge and we're getting one. If Marshawn had not played well in the 2 games they put him in there he probably would have been relegated to 3rd string back. That being said, I do not agree with all the moves Chan has made thus far. Such as: 1- Carrington has not even been activated? You can't keep a 3rd rd pick inactive. You just can't. 2- We're not going to the playoffs this year. Why are we not throwing Maybin in to the deep end and letting him sink or swim? 3- Cornell Green is terrible. Someone else should be starting in his place. Thoughts?
  9. We need 2 threads for the same thing?
  10. Incredibly poor taste. A person is dead.
  11. At this point I think you may have to trade veterans just to get some high picks. I really do feel sorry for guys like Evans and Moulds who had a chance to be special in this league, but had to play for us and our revolving carousel of incompetent QBs. Trade the vets who don't fit in and try like hell to pick up the pieces here.
  12. I don't think they are moving, but I wouldn't leave it past Wilson to screw us one last time and sell the team to someone in LA on his deathbed. If the Bills survive in Buffalo past his death, they will be infinitely better off though. Please note that I am not wishing Wilson any ill, simply noting that he is quite old. That said, this team is terrible because our owner has no idea what he is doing anymore. A new young owner could hopefully get us a decent GM/HC who could change the losing system we have in place here. If they did leave I think I would hate whichever team they become with a vengeance. If they go to LA they would have to realign conferences again. So I would probably root for the 4th team in the AFC east just cause I'm used to despising the Jets, Fins and Patriots.
  13. I agree. Unfortunately due to injury we will not find out about Wang or Easley. Brown was a bust already. Spiller is going to need to be something special to convince me he wasn't a bad pick. Pre-season is one thing, but he has done nothing in 2 games, whereas Detroit's 1st rd rb has played well.
  14. This years' Bills is one of the worst teams I can remember in all my years as a fan. I hope they turn it around next week and we win 10 games and make it to the playoffs, but I think we could all agree that is a pipe dream with the personnel we have now. That being said, we are in year 1 of what should be at least a 3 year rebuilding plan. What would you like to see the Bills get out of this season? Here's what I'd like to see. 1- Empty the Cupboard at QB Start Brohm for a few games. Edwards is over and Fitz started a good portion of last season and we know what kind of QB he is- solid depth but not a starter. Maybe we get lucky and Brohm surprises us. But chances are we draft a rd 1 QB next year. Edwards is a liability and only hinders the development of any of our receivers. 2- Expose personnel who can't play in the 3-4 and get rid of them. See if Maybin can play at all. Let him sink or swim, around game 5 he needs to be left in the game longer so we can see if he will actually develop in this system. The FO doesn't like him, so they could try for a trade in the offseason once he falls flat on his face. 3- Find out if we have any young talent on the O-line Start one of our young guys at RT for the rest of the season. Then give Green his walking papers ASAP. 4- Fire Modrak. Yes, he is responsible for our draft grades and not the actual drafting. But our draft grades have sucked for 10 years. I'd appreciate it if you guys could share some thoughts on things that actually COULD happen. I'm still watching every game this year, but it gets discouraging watching a team you love show so little week after week. At least by looking at subsets in a game I can come away with a modicum of satisfaction. Like saying "hey, Troupe really could be a good player in this league" or "Meredith or Urbik could be a legit tackle."
  15. We need 2 starting Tackles and a QB
  16. True. We're worse than we were last year...by a lot.
  17. Trent is a liability. He is completely lost out of there. Some players make the people around them better, Trent makes them worse.
  18. Hawk is actually better than any of the guys we have back there right now and would be able to contribute more than Lynch will this year.
  19. 1- If it looks like a turd and plays like a turd... 2- Dolphins LB Koa Misi finally passes that gall stone.
  20. The question was about Chris Brown. While his first response to the thread starter's inquiry was appropriate and possibly helpful, his second was both inappropriate ad indicative of the fact that Chris Brown is the equivalent of an unattractive spokesmodel who is given a mike and gets to pretend to be a journalist. His response was equivalent to "no, YOU'RE stupid", which is pathetic. A simple, "the team has a policy of not commenting in these cases" is the correct answer. Why would you get defensive about it at all?
  21. McCargo just made the 53 man roster. Just FYI
  22. I avoided finding out the score, stayed up to watch the game on the nfl network... and they are showing the CHARGERS vs SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH???
