Supermen! Both Fred and CJ return to practice this week!
kota replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CJ being a smaller back had nothing to do with it? You see his neck muscles? They probably saved him from a worse injury. He was running at almost full speed with a ball and tackled from behind and landed at a weird angle with a 200 pound human being landing on it. People really need to get off the size thing. He can take 30 touches a game with no issue. He isn't any bigger than Thurman thomas or Johnson from Tennesee. I don't know about you but i have seen him run between the tackles and break Tackles downfield. Just because he dodges someone doesn't mean he is weak by any stretch. He's just faster. -
Boycott? When was the last time an actual Boycott worked?
-
Nice Sarcasm.
-
Lets hope he didn't tear anything that requires him to go to IR.
-
He shouldn't have done it. All he had to do was two hand touch him. He was on the ground defenseless.
-
You did the right thing.

Cordy Glenn getting his propers from Peter King
kota replied to Astrojanitor's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nix thought he could. I remember on draft day they were showing clips of Cordy being slow in drills. They were showing clips of the wrong guy. I remember Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan where at the senior bowl talking about him. they raved. They did question if he would be a better Guard than LT due to his size. They didn't know if he could beat the quick edge rushers. Glenn is getting better each week. I think he will be a force by Mid Season. -
It sucks for Troup. Having a spinal fusion in your 20's is a bad thing. Being a heavy guy and if he ends up out of football he will have alot of difficulties down the road. I can understand cutting him because that's the business but the way people act about him is just stupid. He has done nothing wrong. He hasn't been arrested. He is active on Twitter for the fans, and has worked his butt off to try and get on the field. It just hasn't happened like anyone planned. Leave the guy alone. It's not your money anyway.

I think in both cases the procedure it so finish the break and then repair it.

The starting RB, LT, RT, and WR for the redskins are all out of this game. RG3 is going to get crushed. -
Anyone who thinks Romney is going to win the Election is crazy.

Aurora Shooting: Does Tighter Gun Control Change the Outcome?
kota replied to B-Large's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Guns aren't the problem its our government. The US Government really needs to do a better job at taking care of it's own citizens and stop worrying about everyone else. The US spends Trillions of dollars every year on wars and foreign aid. That money should be put to use within the Unitied states. Creating jobs, and educating our youth will save people from financial ruin. Everyone in washington understands this but they can't get off their high horses long enough to work together. The US government is crippled. The constant party line fighting causes changes to either never go through or at a snails pace while the country suffers. -

S. Merriman..................the BEAST is back!!
kota replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Merriman will be starting RDE come september. He is better than Mark Anderson. -
He is such an easy speaking individual you can understand why he has been successful as a defensive coordinator. I think the players like him and are buying into his message.

Spin, Spin, Spin (Kelly out of context)
kota replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, Jim Kelly was on Sirius NFL radio earlier this week with Tim Ryan and Solomon Wilcots. It started off with them asking how much Jim Kelly gets involved with team specifically Fitz. He flat out said "Fitz needs to play better and he knows that without me saying anything". It then turned into a conversation on how an inproved defense will make it so Fitz doesn't have to play from behind and take chances with the football which lead to alot of the INT's last year. It was a good interview and JIm wasn't being mean at all. After the interview there was a NFL headline saying "Jim Kelly says Fitz needs to play better". He did say this but if you didn't listen to the interview i can see why people would take it the wrong way. In the end it's just lazy reporting from the NFL guys by rehashing things from the radio show. IN this day and age i really wish they would just link the article to a audio file of the interview. -
They have witness testimony, audio footage, documentation, etc.... showing that there was a bounty program. Not sure what else is needed. The players involved are grasping at strays. They go from not knowing it existed to acknowleding it that it did but it was for performance not injury and now Bree's is saying the NFL needs to prove that cash exchanged hands. The players are acting guilty.

Will Shawne Merriman End the Season on I.R.?
kota replied to ThurmasThoman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Merriman will be the starting opposite Mario Williams. -
You guys are watching a highlight real of the big plays. Yes some of them are wobblers on big gainers. who knows what the rest of it looks like. Give it time.

More than 2,000 players unite to sue NFL
kota replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This could be the end of football as we know it. If the players win it will give them the ability to go after Helmet Manufacturers, College football, and High school football. AT some point the cost would be to high for most high schools and some colleges to have a football program. honestly i don't think the players have a good case. it's called inherent risk. You know that as a football player there is a chance to get hurt. Body part shouldn't matter. -
QB Coach Lee: I'm going with the expert.

Better Mechanics can improve his arm strength. Most of the throw comes from the Hips not the arm. Ask Tom Brady. -
I have always liked Pat Kirwan and Tim Ryan's Sirius radio show in the afternoons. They try to teach their listeners about football and are critical of every team. they are very objective.
