Nashville to host 2019 NFL Draft

Yes, the weather is a big concern. Which is why I think they will primarily have it in Cleveland, with Canton being the place to visit. -

Does Canton have a viable place to hold the event? After having the draft in an actual stadium, can they accommodate that many people? -
Nashville to host 2019 NFL Draft

Cleveland/Canton is one of the five finalist cities to host the 2019 or 2020 NFL Drafts. I think they will get the 2020 Draft for the reasons you have both stated. The NFL will announce the host cities for both of these drafts sometime during the Spring Meeting on May 21-23. The other finalist cities are: Denver, Kansas City & Las Vegas. -
Nashville to host 2019 NFL Draft

I was just about to ask where they would have the draft at in Nashville. How big a venue is this place? -
Who's excited for rookie minicamp tomorrow?
Mark Vader replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm ready for it. Aside from hearing about Allen & Edmunds, I also want to know how the players who are invited for tryouts do. Too bad Astrobot cannot attend. -
Let's see what happens during our first mini camp.

RB Kenjon Barner visiting Bills
Mark Vader replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're not? I'll give you Mike Tolbert and to an extent Andre Holmes. Yet then you have Micah Hyde & Jordan Poyer, who were both free agent signings. I admit that I was underwhelmed when we signed Poyer, but he became a key player in our secondary. I also like Patrick DiMarco, but for some reason we don't know how to use him. Then there were the trades that got us Jordan Matthews and E.J. Gaines. Yes they are no longer with us, but they were effective, they just had problems with injuries. What about last year's draft? Look at the play of Tre'Davious White & Dion Dawkins. Zay Jones was very disappointing, but we can't give up on him after one season. Look at how Matt Milano came along. This year we probably gave Star Lotuleilei more than he deserved, but it's way too early to think he will be a liability. Then there's Trent Murphy, who should flourish in this system. Chris Ivory may not be the most exciting pick-up, but he'll be a far better back-up to Shady than Tolbert was. Now we have this year's draft. We got one of the top quarterbacks in the country in Josh Allen, a quarterback with the best potential that we have drafted in a long time. Then we got Tremaine Edmunds. Probably the second best linebacker in this year's draft! Did you think we had a shot at getting him? We also got Harrison Phillips, who could be a steal! Add in Taron Johnson & Siran Neal, who should give us good secondary depth and Wyatt Teller, who could be a potential starter for us, and you are looking at a spectacular draft by the Bills this year. So tell me, what is it about the talent building on this roster that does not impress you? -

You think the Patriots* will cut him? -
Happy 1st Anniversary, Brandon Beane!
Mark Vader replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bravo, Mr. Beane. Here's to many more years with us. Keep up the good work. -
I don't know if these are "surprise" picks, but here is my list. Adolphus Washington. His fate may have been sealed the minute the Bills drafted Harrison Phillips. Add in Tenny Palepoi and Washington will have a tough time getting enough snaps. Andre Holmes. With the addition of Jeremy Kerley and other younger receivers, Holmes will have to really justify his contract on this team. He will have to be the best Special Teams player on the Bills in order to survive. Patrick DiMarco. He's the only Fullback on the team. If the Bills wanted to have a Fullback in the system, why didn't they add someone else for competition in training camp? Ramon Humber. He wasn't missed that much when he went down with an injury last year. Tanner Vallejo and Deon Lacey are younger and have more upside. John Miller. I really don't know what issues he is having, but he could get lost in the shuffle if he doesn't have a strong training camp. Logan Thomas. I know he is just a back-up, but I don't think McDermott is going to wait much longer for him to become a top Tight End. Especially with Khari Lee, Jason Croom & Keith Towbrudge on the depth chart. Since those guys are REAL Tight Ends.

I always say bye. Is that odd?

Nice. He would be good depth. -
That I agree with. On another note, you must be thrilled with the incoming Hokies to the Bills. I can't wait to see Edmunds play this year.

Is Drew Lock really that good?

I had to stifle my laughter every time he was on screen. Just hearing that big deep voice of his made me want to burst into hysterics. He's a fine actor, but I really wish they had just made a CGI character and used his voice instead. -

This is the joy of the off season. It's going to be very slow for the next two months. -

Joonas Donskoi has become one of my favorites, even though he can be neutralized on the boards so easily because he's not a big guy. I agree with you about Sorenson. The patience he showed on that first goal last night, he looked like a veteran on that play. I think Paul Matin is finished as well, just like they have done with other veterans like Joel Ward & Jannik Hansen. It's been great seeing the younger guys step up and help the Sharks core players. Even better that they have been doing so without Joe Thornton.

Sharks strike back with a shutout of their own. Martin Jones was ON tonight. The goal by Donskoi at the end of the 1st period was key.
