  1. This was discussed 2 days ago when it was FIRST said by Bledsoe. Geez.
  2. The other stat was from STATS, Inc. saying that Bledsoe had 28 passes dropped, which would have put his completion percentage at a little over 63% for the season. Only a couple of QB's had more drops or a higher percentage of incompletions being from drops (Hasselbeck, obviously).
  3. In baseball, the money from the "luxury tax" is given to teams at the end of the revenue scale. The last proposal I heard for the NHL was a 100% tax for going over the cap, compared to 17.5% for baseball (and MLB also has revenue sharing to a degree), but I don't know if that money would be given to the struggling clubs. The ideal would be the NFL's model, with possibly adding a minimum amount teams must spend on players.
  4. The NHL needs a HARD cap and revenue sharing. They also need to realize that they need each other to make a successful product. The NFL did that awhile ago and things have been great ever since. Sure it's not ideal for the players, who would want to make more money than the owners if they could, but tough sh--.
  5. There's a QB who is 6'6" and who has the athletic ability to play TE. He could be worth a look, although he'd be a project.
  6. This is interesting. I'm guessing Brown would love to be a Bill. And I'm sure he knows he's not going high in the draft so he's not going to be making gobs of money (relatively speaking), so if the Bills like him, it would behoove them to tell Brown to run slow at all his workouts, and that they'll take him in the 3rd round. And if he projects as a "solid #2 WR" and the Bills can get him in the 3rd and, he should be a good #3 WR and develop into a #2 behind Evans. Hey, it's a nice fantasy, assuming the kid has some goods and will want to play hard for his favorite team.
  7. He means that Drew was NOT the only problem, or the biggest problem, and that he becoming the starting QB won't magically fix the offense. As I said, I can only hope the Bills finally realize it's time to heavily invest in the O-line.
  8. I still don't see the comparison to Adam Sandler, and he doesn't sound like a girl. I'd rather listen to him than Tom Brady.
  9. If JP can avoid breaking his leg in practice again, he will be the most improved player by far.
  10. Why, is there some sort of prize?
  11. Electric cowbell?!?! That's not a fevah, that's electrocution!
  12. Doubtful at best, slappy!
  13. And there are what, 2 or 3 "blue-chip" RB's, if that?
  14. Hopefully that link ends up being correct. I think BellyChick (LOL) wanted Davidson to be his next OC, but Crennel took him.
  15. There's a recent thread about this on the wall. The Bills will actually be about $8M under the cap.
  16. The market for Henry will be good. And Belichick will likely be calling offensive plays next year? Hello end of the dynasty!
  17. You mean during the winning streak? No way. The Bills were in the playoff hunt and going with JP would have been the death-knell for it, just like it was for the Gints. At BEST I could have seen them making the move after the 0-4 start, but that would have been highly unlikely.
  18. The NHL needs a HARD cap. Not this luxury tax crap.
  19. Exactly. Throw in some screen passes and some roll-outs, and there you have the new Bills' playbook, at least for the time being.
  20. Maybe he would have seen more mop-up duty than he did. Other than that, I doubt he would have started any games.
  21. Yep, Belichick will have NO "mastery" over JP, just like he doesn't over most QB's. Sorry but I'll believe it when I see it.
  22. Odds are the offense, namely on the O-line, at 3rd WR, and at TE, will be much improved. And the defense and ST's could very well be as good as they were.
  23. Among other things.
  24. It must be that phantom extra year in Buffalo where he amassed those 200-some odd sacks.
