  1. So, Green hates Shelton so much that he's willing to trade him for a lousy player, a bottom-25 RB? I'd think that no matter WHAT Green thinks of Shelton, trying to get the most for him would be the smart thing to do. And it's not there aren't any teams interested in Shelton. But no, Green would rather trade him for a crappy starting RB, because he hates his guts. Makes sense to me! Oh and like I said, Green is willing to trade Henry straight-up provided Henry plays under his old contract. Again why he'd be willing to trade a good player for a crappy RB who might be gone in a year is beyond me! Perhaps it's a matter of both sides wanting a long-term deal, but Travis wants a ridiculous signing bonus and salary? I don't know, but if the Cards want him, they won't be getting a pick.
  2. You've REALLY gone off the deep end VA! Makes it interesting that Green is willing to trade a LT who you think is worth a 1st round pick for a piece of sh-- like Henry!
  3. I don't pretend to know the whole story here, but it's even harder to fire a good worker when the rest of the crew isn't pulling their weight and the issues that are becoming a problem said good worker PERTAIN to that. You're not only risking a lawsuit, but a serious drop in productivity. And given this manager's ineptitude at hiring workers (she probably thought the guy was cute for all we know), firing njsue at ANY time would be stupid. But for her sake, I hope she finds a new job and leaves before there are more problems.
  4. I'd like to see Nugent kickoff with an NFL tee. The ones they use in college are 2" or 3" (can't remember which) not the 1" tee the NFL uses. And that 1" or 2" makes a difference in kickoffs. Just ask Steve Christie.
  5. Crouch is a quitter. I see Clarrett becoming like him.
  6. Like I said, maybe TD and co. like what they see in Edwards and Anderson, like they did in Losman?
  7. Methinks that njsue's office can't afford to let her go, shouting match or not. She probably would have been gone Friday if that weren't the case.
  8. No player heads to NFLE as a rookie. And being a former QB with no TE experience is what will probably drop him from a 1st round pick, but he'll be taken high I'm sure. And as was said, having experience as a QB, as well as a basketball player, will only help him. Remember that Riemersma was a former QB, and that helped him a lot (and he had nowhere NEAR the speed Jones does, at the same size more or less).
  9. FYI, Mike Williams the WR ran a 4.61 40-yard. I wonder how much that will affect his draft stock?
  10. Hopefully Tyke Tolbert has a gem that he'll pull from the draft. Seems like a deep draft for WR's, as well as OL.
  11. I guess we'll see what the Bills do should PW walk. If they sign someone else, it means that Edwards and Anderson aren't ready for prime-time. Maybe this is the reason TD hasn't talked about a new contract with PW since last year?
  12. Sounded to me like Travis wanted a long-term deal and the Cards didn't. So I guess it's a matter of Travis wanting TOO much. Although for Bidwell, that's more than $1.
  13. He'll be a first day pick for sure. The Bills might need to use their 1st pick (2nd rounder) to get him, and even that might not be high enough.
  14. Good luck in that endeavor. Best time to look for a job is while you have one. Tell your manager to make him work longer hours, do it herself, or at the least say you'll help with his stuff after you've finished your own.
  15. Depends on his hands. If he has good ones, he'll be a high pick at TE.
  16. Refuse to do the job of others and make sure you take care of your own business. See where that gets your manager. Or find a new job.
  17. He could be an Ernest Wilford ( ) type of player.
  18. He's one. Another I really like is Matt Jones, who was the QB for the Razorbacks the past 3 years. He's 6'5" and 240#+ and runs a 4.48! He's also a great athlete and plays basketball. Sure he's raw, but if he can catch passes well, he'd be worth a shot early-on. Another guy is Jerome Collins from ND. He's 6'4" and 257#, and runs a 4.53 40-yard. And being from ND, you know he's a good blocker, but again the question is his hands.
  19. Same here. The smart thing is to go where you can showcase yourself as a starter. If he's confident in himself, he'd be better-off being a starter somewhere, even for a year, than a backup for a year, and trying his luck on the market NEXT year.
  20. Bottom line is he's not worth more than Sam Adams. I'm sure the offer they gave him was the same offer they gave Sam, and if Pat hasn't taken it, he can look elsewhere for a deal.
  21. That's what it sounds like. It's possible that injury, horrible coaching, and bad teammates have made him look bad, but it would be JMac's call and if he likes him, that's all I need to hear I don't know what they'd want for him though, considering he's a former 1st round pick, and has reasonable salaries until 2008.
  22. Well if Travis threatens to sit-out half the season because he wants a long-term deal, the Cards wouldn't be wise to trade for him then.
