  1. As an out-of-towner, I read these rabidly. They give me hope and excitement and appreciate them greatly! A very heartfelt Thanks!
  2. Reading the whole article on jaguars.com is much better than that abreviated version quoted above. It's linked on the front page and very believable.
  3. Not had particularly good luck with any hh interactions. From both an employee and employer side. I now aggressively avoid them. Far too many hh's are poor at their job and heavily detract from the (much fewer) good ones.
  4. As a laker fan: this is humiliating. Mitch Kupchak should be beaten with a rubber hose. Repeatedly. We could have gotten him for a box of stale crackers. Much less given up Caron Butler who can play! Unbelievable. Phil Jackson will hit him upside the head if he even looks like he's getting out of his chair firmly which is bolted as last on the depth chart. Phil will play a rookie more than this discarded lump. Unbelievable.
  5. One of the few raiders that I've always had respect for. Always a little sad that he played for Cpt Scumbag Al D.
  6. ...Well looking back on it: Who WOULD want to back up RJ???
  7. Great article! Very good read. Sounds like we won't have Jerry for too long as DC. Hopefully long enough for a superbowl!
  8. I always thought that I was weird because I'd sit and drool in geometry class and stare at the poster with a bunch of pi's digits. I still can rattle off quickly: 3.14159265359879323... then I just start making numbers up as nobody can ever call me on em. 'cept for this guy apparently.
  9. Well looking at that topten list only, I have to say I thought most of them sucked too. However there's lots of good movies that aren't on that list. A few of them are great. as for your highlighted ones... I think I'm even harsher than you. although I'd have included "My big fat greek wedding," and "Saving Pvt Ryan".
  10. I had no emotional investment in the game. So it made it much easier for me to enjoy the whole series. A great series. I was never sure who was going to pull it out in the end.
  11. Well I'm glad that we had a first-hand look at him. I was wondering since it was so sudden. But if he isn't good enough, he isn't good enough.
  12. Mmmmmmmmmm! Strawberry-Rhubarb pie. Soooo good. Alas my gf is from Michigan, and he family makes a Rhubarb custard pie. Good.... but not as good as Strawberry/Rhubarb! 'course I'm out in Cali and the rhubarb that makes it here is pretty crummy.
  13. Aussiew, telling it like it is.
  14. I have to admit some of the suggested answers have just been awesome!
  15. The quote was from back when Wyche was coach of the bengals. It was a cold and snowy day in Cincinnati and the fans started pelting the field with snowballs (don't remember why), coach had a microphone brought to him and he chastised the crowd by including that statement. (There's a local rivalry between Cleveland and Cincinnati, where neither thinks much of the other place) It worked well, the fans stopped throwing.
  16. turkey bologna? I agree with some other voices in that you should try the original stuff first. MUCH different flavor than the turkey. Frying it really changes the flavor IMO. I also second that you make some cuts around the edge to help it stay (more) flat and thus fry better. after you try the original, then experiment to your hearts content.
  17. Unfortunately, in many way's he'd have to do better than good ole' big ben... Pittsburgh's lead runningback Duce Staley got injured when they were busy running him into the ground. Good thing for them that they had The Bus who could step up and let himself get run into the ground. We lose McGahee, we have nobody strong enough behind him to run and run and run behind. Even if we keep Travis... So the unfortunate part is, we'll HAVE to air it out more than big ben and co. Which will allow for more mistakes by our young QB...
  18. Hawaii is fabulous. All of the islands are different, and all are good. After sampling each, you can figure out which one is perfect for your speed. My favorite is Kauai, but I enjoy them all. I'm sure you'll have a great time!
  19. NCO = Non Commissioned Officer. You have to goto officer training school to get beyond a certain rank. all officers below that rank are NCOs. The most commonly known is Sergant. Who are pretty much known as tough, no-nonsense types.
  20. Not going thurs night, but taking all my employees to watch the movie at 10:30am friday morning. Woot! That's one good part about being in a high-tech company... pretty much everyone is a geek and excited by it.
  21. Samuel Adams - Scotch Ale (sadly not a regular brew anymore)
  22. First thing that came into my mind when I read the topic. Bud. Crappy, crappy beer. Glad to see others haven't fallen prey to endless add campaigns. Coors light is plenty undrinkable too. I've had some smaller run beers that were pretty hard to hold down, but I've tried to purge my memory of them.
  23. I wouldn't eat rufus. There really isn't much left after the skeet practice. ...PULL! Cats rule.
  24. K Winslow the 2nd. This loudmouth braggart has rubbed me wrong with everything he's done. I can't stand this arrogant twerp. I find it even more strange since I remember rooting for his father. ....oh, wait. We're talking about players who actually PLAY football. Nevermind!
