  1. WGR is always unlistenable between the end of the Sabres season and the beginning of Bills traning camp. Other times it's debatable I guess.
  2. 3 years at a reported $9 million Green doesn't sound like a backup to me. If he doesn't win the job outright I'd consider cutting him and look for a cheaper alternative. I wonder if Wang to easily play RT.
  3. I don't buy the injury concerns, but I think there was enough question about both to merit the slips in the draft. Bottom line: it wasn't a great QB draft. Usually QB's are drafted much HIGHER than they deserve. I thought John Skelton was the sleeper this year and might go as high as the early 3rd round and instead he went late 5th.
  4. A registered sex offender is a tough sell. In some minds those three words are worse than what Michael Vick, PacMan, and Rothlisberger have done.
  5. Here's another thought for special-teams: Last year-Kick returns Fred Jackson 41 times Roscoe Parrish 11 times Leodis McKelvin-5 times Last yearr-Punt returns Roscoe Parrish 24 times Fred Jackson 5 times This year-Kick returns #1 C.J. Spiller #2 Fred Jackson This year-Punt returns #1 Roscoe Parrish #2 Ellis Lankster I think Roscoe gets a chance to redeem himself. Anyone else we could add to this mix?
  6. Creating controversy sells papers; see Matthews & Jerry Sullivan Look, I wasn't happy with day #3 of the draft (besides Levi Brown and Calloway) until I did some research. Maybe these guys will pan out. It's the "I've never heard of him so he can't be any good" argument. I'm tired of draft grades. The Titans got a "D" for drafting Chris Johnson last year. Don't read the paper!
  7. Not really a position of need now is it? Reunite him with Stroud? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...john-henderson/
  8. Where is that guy? I can't believe he hasn't been signed by someone yet.
  9. Lets all get over it---we're all armchair GM's. However, I like this kid--heard him on Sirius two weeks ago. Great attitude, workout warrior. Said you'll probably find him jogging around campus at 1am. Hope he works out well for the Bills.
  10. The other guy who said he has had ZERO contact with the Bills (except at the combine) is Dan Williams.
  11. Not that it means much but Bulaga was on Sirius NFL today, and when they mentioned teams he's talked to Buffalo came up and he said he has NEVER spoken to anyone from the Bills. Okung has been here for a visit though.
  12. The experts say that Suh would cost a little less at #1 than Bradford would.
  13. I think McCoy would be an excellent fit with the Rams with that top pick in RD#2. His arm is decent but not world class=Rams play in a dome. And Pat Shurmur is the O-Coordinator and versed in the West Coast-scheme which McCoy would excel in. That would be a great draft for the Rams: Suh/McCoy to start.
  14. Troupe, Thomas, and Linval Joseph are all movin' up. I wouldn't be surprised if all are gone by the end of the 2nd.
  15. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Seems as whomever had final say always drafted need over best player available especially in round #1. Who that is/was? Not sure.
  16. Boom: C.J. Spiller Brandon Graham Sean Weatherspoon Sergio Kindle Eric Berry Ndamukong Suh Derrick Morgan Bust: Anthony Davis Brian Bulaga (not technically a bust, will be average and probably end up at RT) Bruce Campbell Rob Gronkowski Jason Pierre-Paul Jimmy Claussen
  17. I don't think the Bills will go OT if there are three gone already by #9. It's going to be a COMPLETE player that is chosen. Davis has some issues as a person and a player that don't merit the #9 pick. I'd be speechless if he was the pick.
  18. So was Brady Quinn, who was more productive than Claussen at ND. There's no way to predict NFL success. Hopefully in our case, the Bills have done their homework and have studied the person behind all of the numbers. Can he be coached, can he lead, how will he handle adversity, etc. Time will tell.........
  19. I agree and if the only backs we had on our team were Jackson, Lynch, and Spiller you could cut everyone else! Spiller becomes the "slash" player returning kicks as well as spot duty at RB and slot-WR. I think we overvalue Lynch in trade value before the draft too . Even though I think his positives outweigh the negatives, because he's probably one incident away from another suspension, I'm thinking a 4th round pick. However, if someone misses their target in the draft I could see a late second or third happening.
  20. With all of the 2nd round picks they have I suspect he could become a Patriot.
  21. It's been my thought from the beginning that the Bills might try to work a trade---that's why it is so quiet. I'll be it is resolved one way or the other near or after the draft.
