  1. The only problem I had with his play was that stupid shoulder he gave Calvin Johnson after he was already in the end zone. He often tackles that way, WITH HIS SHOULDER. That's not tackling and it drives me nuts!!!
  2. I've heard more than one member of the national media say what a "good kid" he is. WTF is going on?
  3. I've seen a couple of questionable snaps from center on punts (KC game in my memory) and kicks. I don't know if that is contributing to the issue or not.
  4. PFT.com says Maybin is inactive but Chris Brown and BB.com says he's active. Ed Wang too. Yes, an active Wang! I hope he plays.
  5. Saw him the other day in a store. Seemed to be walking fairly normally.
  6. I was only able to listen to the game on the radio yesterday, but I swear I heard that Corey McIntyre got nicked up near the end. Anyone? This article lists Ganther as a FB. Maybe that's why they're bringing him in? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81ba5416/article/seahawks-resign-fb-ganther-four-weeks-after-cutting-him
  7. If they could find a way to neutralize the TE of opponents the points-per-game would be WAY down.
  8. If Gibson was waived today, shouldn't it be 4pm tomorrow the claim is awarded? Maybe he was actually waived last night.
  9. He was a one-year-wonder at Penn State. The first thing Nix said when he took the GM job is that you don't draft guys like that with a #1 pick. Found this little tidbit that speaks volumes: "Opportunity seemed to be the issue as well for Penn State’s Aaron Maybin. Maybin’s 2008 season was so big he chose to enter the draft as a third-year sophomore. But he only got on the field as a full-time starter two weeks into the season after teammate Maurice Evans was suspended. Maybin was a beast with 49 tackles, 20 of which went for loss, 12 sacks and three forced fumbles. Prior to that however, Maybin had only recorded defensive stats in nine games. Nevertheless he’s considered a first round pick that could find his way into the top 10." The rest of the article is here: http://www.milehighreport.com/2009/1/16/726131/olb-aaron-maybin-penn-stat There's been a lot of guys who project into that hybrid DE/LB position and many of them don't succeed. I think the Broncos have been bitten a few times by this type of player. Jarvis Moss ring a bell?
  10. My guess if they are practicing Wang as a guard right now to get him up to game speed, and not to expose him to the outside-edge pass-rush. Remember, he's NEVER played in an NFL game pre-season or otherwise.
  11. I thought the 49'ers 1st round picks were smart (Davis and Iupati), however they seem to be a work in progress. The 49'ers line looks like the Bills line at times---I've seen Alex Smith getting chased almost every play in a couple of games.
  12. Billy Devaney of the Rams said they had considered trading their top pick in the last few years and it is next to impossible. No-one wants to give up a bunch of draft picks for the right to pay $50 million guaranteed to an unproven player. It's almost a curse to keep having a top pick. However, if a rookie cap gets put into place there could be some SERIOUS wheeling and dealing.
  13. Wow I didn't realize he's only 26. He's due $3.2 million this year. If anyone would know him it would be Buddy Nix. It will be interesting to see what happens.
  14. This argument can be skewed any way you would like. I'll just say this, Sam Bradford looks mature and seems to be doing a good job right now. If the right QB falls to the Bills #1 pick, it would be a good idea for them to take one. Having said that, one of the reasons the Rams won a close game is that they put up SEVEN SACKS (and one INT) today against the Chargers. The Bills have only six sacks ALL SEASON!!!! The Rams only gave up 79 yards rushing as well. Do you think the Bills even with Fitz could be at least 2-3, maybe 3-2, if they only gave up 79 yards a game and had a pass rush? I do.
  15. Hmmm. Read this about Locker. Who knows, he could end up being a late pick. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/feed/2010-09/nfl-draft/story/jake-locker-a-developmental-prospect-not-no-1-pick
  16. That's all I needed to see for now. Not good.
  17. Even though the OL has mixed reviews at times I'd pretty much keep everyone except Green. I think there's a lot of potential for starters and good backups with what the Bills have. If someone would come out and dominate at right tackle we could be set for awhile.
  18. The Bills always seemed to get lumped in that category of "having trouble selling tickets". Ridiculous since we've had 26 straight sellouts up until the blackout. Wonder if the national media is confusing ticket sales/sellouts vs. season ticket holders? Even though we have the sold out games I'd wonder if the percentage of season tickets is lower.
  19. Might as well. You think the 49'ers might beat us to him? Wonder who is first in waiver order?
  20. As I replied to a rebuilding thread elsewhere, after today I think two LB's would do the team more good than a QB at this particular time.
  21. I still like the Spiller pick but change "OL" to "LB" and I might agree. Today had me almost convinced that spending our 1st two draft picks on stud linebackers, would do more for this team than a QB would. But yeah an offensive tackle, even a right tackle, would have paid dividends as well.
  22. People like ESPN's John Clayton had been saying all along the Bills would be lucky to get a 4th for Lynch---and that's what they got---PLUS a 5th or a 6th in 2012. Considering Laurence Maroney was traded for a 4th and New England had to give back a 6th to Denver. I think the Bills did better than fine. Let's move on!
  23. I was there a couple of weeks ago and my buddies have been twice this year. The atmosphere is great there, isn't it? If it were 45 min. closer we'd have season tickets.
  24. Yep. There is no downside as far as I'm concerned, the other QB's would have to play or be ready to play. I'd actually like to see both in a game before next year. Let the evaluations for the 2011 season start NOW.
