  1. This COACHING STAFF! Think about it for a minute, guys and gals. I LMAO listening to some of you whiners go on and on about NC and the O-line. Granted it would be nice to have KC's line and I would like to keep Nate for the next few years but my biggest concern is losing Jerry Gray or Tom Clements or God forbid, Bobby freakin April! Think back to a year ago during our playoff run how Jerry would make adjustments after halftime to all but shutout teams or how about some of the offensive playcalling by TC which had all of us on the edge of our seats! As we sit here and question the talent of our new QB, the effectiveness of our O-line, and the durability of our stud RB these coaches are dissecting the Houston Texans strengths and weaknesses much better IMO than their's are attempting to figure us out. The only game film they would have on JP would be from some spot duty last year and some meaningless preseason games. How would you like to be the OC for the Texans trying to figure out to attack this defence? Or even worse to be the ST's coach telling your squad "just be prepared for everything and anything" If you insist on dwelling this team's shortcomings, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised after next Sun. What I know for sure is that all JP has to do is rank statistically better than Bledsoe in order to be an upgrade at that position and I don't think that Drew set the bar very high at 26th out of 31 starting QB's last season.I seriously think that 10-6 is very likely our record this year and if we retain the same coaches and some key players that next season we could be 14-2 and Superbowl bound Baby!!!
  2. You hit it right on the head, Kasper! I don't know why some of the posters on this board get so riled up after watching pre-season games? I tape all the games and make a point of turning them off after the starters have left the game in each case! What I have observed from the preseason contests so far is that a) JPL can really throw the football and has a nice touch on the underneath stuff b) our defense is playing at a very high level and c) the majority of NFC teams may suck but that Chicago defence is going to open some eyes this season d) the coaching staff for this team will put our offence in excellent position for success and after about 3-4 reg season contests I believe the offence will equal the level of our defence barring any key injuries, of course!
  3. You're as bad as that writer on RNews.com! JP did throw a TD pass to Evans in the Colts game!!
  4. Always happy to affect change in the national media! Go to the RNews.com segment on TwoBillsDrive homepage and you'll see where it was earlier stated that he hadn't thrown a TD pass!(must have had his editor correct him and had him print correction thinking us ravenous Bills fans wouldn't catch it)
  5. Some idiot on RNews.com(whatever that is?) says that JP has yet to throw a TD pass in 3 preseason games? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he throw a dandy one to Evans in the Colts game? I hate stupid writers who don't do their research before printing such garbage!
  6. Former Brownies coach Butch Davis when asked by Rich E. who he thinks will be this year's Chargers said it will be the Bills! Interesting thing was that he said the Browns seriously looked at JP and that he was among the top on their draft board. Who knows? maybe if he would have gotten JP, he'd still have a job on the field instead of the booth!?! Other than that it was the same old magoo comments, y'know great D, #1 ST's, solid running game.. Ya Da, Ya Da..
  7. Nice goin' Ramius, now I've got to wipe all my coffee off my computer screen!!
  8. and they have been smoochin' with all of em, I could go on forever baby!!
  9. Good post Simon and I agree with your analysis except maybe 2 points 1) Benny Anderson I thought did a good job vs. KGB for the time he was in there as Bjaja-milaha(sp) was invisible until Anderson's backup took the field. 2) I think Drew Haddad has shown enough to warrant the #4 wr spot this year, particularly because he fills two positions on the club as wr and pr.
  10. Consider these points. 1) Although I realize that the Colts' defence were missing several starters in that game, I think that was balanced out by how downright nervous JP was in the opening half. He was quoted as saying that he never felt that the ball was coming out right all night, my thinking is that understandably he was a bundle of nerves. We'll see how he fares in the opening few series against GB this week, my guess is that he'll appear more comfortable in the pocket with each game. 2) From what I saw he is very accurate throwing on the run which is something that is nice to see after watching Bledsoe attempt to do the same thing only to be picked off time and time again. 3) I did see him make 2 crucial errors (not sliding to the turf, losing the fumble) but I don't foresee him throwing too many ints if he continues to throw the ball that damn hard, man! the guy has a cannon, defenders trying to pick off his passes might wind up with broken fingers 4) I love that this guy gets emotional on the field! He threw one into the turf in front of his target before the half and he was visibly upset with himself for making the mistake. What followed though was on the very next drive he completed that beautiful pass to Evans "low and away" for the TD. At THAT moment, I immediately thought of Jim Kelly (pissed off on the sideline, then scoring a TD the next drive he was given) I see early on in JP what we all saw in Jim, HEART and FIRE for this game they love.
  11. "rocket" of an arm!?! He claims to have been watching JP in the pre-season and does say that his mobility is what sets JP apart from Drew (talk about stating the obvious) but for him to say that Bledsoe has a stronger arm? I 've watched the Bills-Colts game a couple of times now as well as some bits of other games and although I may be a bit biased I have not seen a harder thrown ball than JP's, in fact a couple of his rockets you have to pause the tape and frame advance in order to actually see the football! Any of you guys see JP throw a long bomb yet? So far I haven't, but can't wait to see him air one out.
  12. Tynes originally hails from my neck of the woods, up here in Ottawa, Canada. All we really do well around here is get drunk and fight! I'm not sure but I think its a pre-requisite to becoming a Canadian citizen for the immigrants. We're like your good folks in Alabama without the guns!
  13. JP of course, he's a BILL! That other guy plays for the Jets I think. Whaddya like better? Apples or oranges?, Tastes great or less filling? Chicken or the egg?
  14. Not the second coming of Marino, JP LOSMAN IS THE REINCARNATION OF KENNY STABLA... WHEEEET!
  15. Good analysis! My only thought on the game (I only got to see tidbits from NFL Network on Sat. ) is JPL has a damn cannon for an arm!!!
  16. Maybe CW would be more comfortable with someone who only misses 3 passes and throws 2 TDs in a pre-season game, Hey! I remember someone who did that, let's trade JPL for Rob Johnson! I'll reserve my opinion of our QB until about week 4, by then he'll have had a chance to show us what he's capable of.
  17. LMAO Seriously though, I don't think he's really gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that-Seinfeld
  18. Bills 8-8 Unfortunately I do see JPL undergoing some growing pains, Next year- look out NFL defences. Patsies 12-4 They're the best until proven otherwise, too bad they have the warmth and personality of well, Bill Belichik! Jets 7-9 Somethings just not right with this team, I don't see them in the playoffs again for a long time. Fish 5-11 If it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, its a fish! A bottom feeding fish.
  19. I don't receive NFL Network here in the not-so-great North so the only way I get to watch/tape Bills preseason games is on my parents' cable network, Bills TV is brought in from one of the Rochester stations. Haven't heard whether they'll be televised this year? help!
  20. Did I say seahawk? Meant falcon! I know it was some kind of a bird.
  21. Jim Kelly (running toward the sidelines, mad as hell, throws his body at the seahawk defender who just had intercepted his pass and was "strutting" down the sidelines) breaks the guy's leg at the ankle! That to me was Jim Kelly football! Man, I miss that heart and toughness in our QB position! Here's hoping that JP can be even close to that kind of player.
