  1. "our turf"? Who is this guy? Pinky Tuscadero! It seems the media is doing its best to create a scenario in which the Bills are moving to Toronto after the stadium lease is up. I for one cannot root for the Toronto Bills Could any of you?
  2. Oops! My bad I meant to say "LETS GO, BUFFALO!"
  3. Hey guys and gals, saw it advertised on NFLN this morning that following the spotlight on the falcons, there is to be a behind the scenes look at Bills training facility. Don't know how in depth it might be but if you want to check it out its on at 7:00 PM EST. GO BILLS GO!
  4. What are you talking about? How do you not draft a corner with the name CORNER?!?
  5. Dammit! You took my answer!! I remember so vividly the game he had against the colts, he knocked Harbaugh out of the game and Paul Justin (iirc) shortly after. I remember thinking " they might have to get Faulk to play QB."
  6. good read, thanks Any chance you could send this to Schoebel and Kelsay?
  7. Ha! Ha! True enough, I did go off on a bit of a rant there didn't I? I just don't get the concept of someone posting a comment like "Marv is old and stupid" as contributing anything meaningful to this board. I originally came to TSW 4 yrs. ago and it was a very different atmosphere here.. I don't see how anyone can argue that the team has improved leaps and bounds from last year, that we now have a legit QB, and excellent WR in Evans and improving o-line, coaching staff etc. I'm not trying to be a Homer, but c'mon people we're not exactly the Raiders!
  8. To all the old regulars of this board, ie: Bill in NYC, Mead, End zone crew, Cablelady et al.. Hi guys! missed talking to you, how ya all been doin? I can't believe this forum has 6000+ members! That's great! Too bad about 5000 or so have nothing to contribute but alot of verbal diarrhea and negative comments about our beloved Marv Levy and founder Ralph Wilson. I find it deplorable that these "johnny come lately" so-called fans of this team have the unmitigated gaul to question either their motives or intentions where the success of this team is concerned. They are probably too young to remember the Kelly, Thurman, Bruce era of football around there and the spirit that encapsulated Buffalo at that time, but I will say to those little pi#$ ants, " No-one wants a championship in Buffalo more than RW, Marv, or Jim Kelly... NO-ONE!" So before you start lipping off about how Ralph's too cheap, Marv's too stupid, and this team is always mediocre every year...Blah! Blah! Blah! Wait till you've earned that place to open your trap! I turned 38 last week, (Thanks for the Birthday message Mead, I got it) That makes me a 28 year fan of these Bills, and when the guys at work tease me about my many Bills caps, jerseys etc. and for being a Bills fan, I smile and say, "Who is going to appreciate a Buffalo Bills Superbowl victory more than a lifelong Bills fan?"
  9. I've been a die-hard Bills fan for 26 years, buddy! Every painful year I've had to endure will be made that much sweeter when the Bills win the Superbowl, I just pray that I'm still alive to see that glorious day!
  10. A few thoughts that have occured to me after watching these 3 games that you may or may not agree with me on... 1) Most of us on this board, myself included, believed that after reading all of the feel good stories in the offseason about JPL and his work ethic/ knowledge of playbooks etc. thought that he would be NFL ready by week 1 and then he comes out and wows us all against the Texans and our defence looks dominant against their offence. At this point I was thinking Playoffs for sure! Clearly looking back, this was a subpar team. My concern after this game were the comments made by TKO and Co. about wanting to be known as one of the best defences of all time, I remember thinking "just play, Spikes" let someone else give you guys that title! 2) Tampa Bay game- So we have our defence going into Florida barely able to fit their huge heads on the plane, and rightfully so after their performance against Houston but Jerry Gray changes up the gameplan and they don't attack the Bucs' offence early perhaps worried about the heat factor, meanwhile the Tampa defence returning many starters from a superbowl squad just a few years prior throw so many different formations and coverages at JPL that he must have been thinking " I don't recall seeing any of this in the film room" enter Cadillac: say what you want to, this kid is going to be an elite runningback for years to come. 3) Atlanta game- Now Jerry Gray makes the decision defensivelly that had the games' outcome decided before it even began, after sitting back against Tampa he vows to "not make the same mistake again" with the Falcons, only problem is.. as Jim Kelly stated on the radio the other day, "you live with the blitz, you die by the blitz" Bottom line- We knew that we were going to go as far as this defence was going to take us, right? well currently we are dead last in the NFL against the run and we just lost Spikes, lets all hope that we can depend on our secondary this season as it sure looks to me that we're gonna have to put eight men in the box for a large part of the games ahead!
  11. I think Gray (in this case) was a victim of circumstance in his playcalling against Atlanta, after he admitted to being less aggressive against Tampa the week prior he vowed to blitz more and go back to attacking on defense which unfortunately was not the right decision against Vick and co.
  12. Thanks, Buddy! I think that's something that all the fans need to hear, when you listen to those words from the greatest QB in Bills history telling us to be patient with this kid it shows me that if Jimbo billieves in JP who the hell are we not to? I'm sure that Jim must see something in this guy in order to endorse him the way he does!
  13. Thanks ofiba! I'm by no stretch of the imagination a "daily poster" as everyone can clearly see I've only had like 300 posts in 2 years!
  14. Hadn't heard or read anything to confirm blackout lifted already, or do we have to wait till Thurs. to find out?
  15. Funny stuff! I loved his nickname for Mike Shanahan!
  16. [QUThe heat and time of possessionOTE]Exactly! After I watched the game I couldn't help but feel that these were the 2 most significant factors in this game, period! Our guys looked completely sluggish by the 3rd Quarter, my grandmother probably could have ran for 75 yards against us in that 2nd half!
  17. Read this article this morning (sorry, no link) on TwoBillsDrive about how the Texans feel like if they can outplay our D, that would mean that our Offence is not going to be very successful. (duh!) While reading it I couldn't help but think "Yeah!, you and about 30 other teams hope to outplay this defence"
  18. OH! "LOSEman", how original! Did your tiny little brain cells form a unified front to come up with that little gem? Or will you admit that you stole that moniker from someone else?
