They were playing the comp pick game. I think they still will play the comp pick game. The cap will not stop the Bills from making a large signing. They have plenty of cap in the future to make any signings they want. You don’t need a lot of cap right now to make a big signing. You need it in the future.

McDermott isn’t without criticism for playoff losses. There’s a list of players also we could list, number one being Stefon Diggs who has disappeared in every elimination game. There is plenty of blame to go around. The Bills just aren’t as good as the Chiefs in many ways. And possibly not as good as the Bengals. The blame for that can start with Beane and work down to McDermott, to the players, and the entire staff. I don’t think there is a wide enough gap that we can say they will never beat those teams. -

They can’t beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. Possibly can’t beat the Bengals. 3 losses to the Chiefs doesn’t mean McDermott can’t beat anyone good in the playoffs. It’s actually pretty simple. People like to make it more than what it is. The Chiefs are standing in the Bills way. They either have to beat them or avoid them, like how Roethlisberger’s Steelers avoided NE and won 2 Super Bowls. -
Buffalo Gets 4th round comp pick

Why not both? Shouldnt be more than a 6th though. I still say Daboll is more black than Mike McDaniel. -

They should reward teams that actually hire minority head coaches. I always thought that was backwards. -

Who's your breakout players for next season?
Buffalo_Stampede replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Whatever starting safety they sign. I think I picked Spencer Brown last year and was laughed at. I think that was a pretty good pick. -
I think he’s one of the starters. But this isn’t a deal that locks him into a starting role.

I can promise you there will be no day of reckoning until Josh retires. They will keep moving around cap until that day. Yes we’ll see some older players let go but that’s just as much about age as it is cap. What’s interesting is the original post talking about cash over cap. Maybe people remember the old Russ Brandon cash to cap term. That was only spending cash up to the cap. The Bills and Browns of all teams have been the highest spending teams in terms of cash the last 5 years or so. Just a ton of cash over cap being spent by Pegula. It won’t stop either. Being $40 million over turns to $40 million under easy. But you need cash rich owners like Pegula. We should all be very grateful. There will be a lot of turnover this year due to age mostly, but because of Pegula, Beane will be able to replace those players.

Every year will be difficult on paper when you finish 1st, but look at the schedule and make a conclusion. -

Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)
Buffalo_Stampede replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
They did though. Do we want everyone young? Rapp is 26. I’m not saying sign Simmons but I want a safety that knows how to lineup a defense. But also not very expensive. They are out there. -
