Not going full Allen restructure kind of lowered my excitement for UFA additions. That told me there’s a limit on cash spending this offseason. -
This plan should push Shakir to the bench, how do you feel about that?

Saying we already have Shakir is kind of what we did with Gabe Davis for years. Shakir is showing signs of being a good slot WR but are we at a point where we lock him into that role without competition?

Somewhat, but to me it’s more of an excuse for the front office. If they want to sign a WR2 in UFA they can. The cap is not preventing it.

Maybe an extension, Taron Johnson. They left $8 million on Josh’s restructure. Josh’s is the safest restructure there is.

They’ve had multiple defensive players step up over the years. It’s what the Bills have been missing. Hopefully they can get some luck though because the last 2 playoffs they’ve been hit with injuries on defense. It’s part of the game but they do need some luck. Also our coaching staff just isn’t on their level. Reid and Spags are elite. -
It has been an excellent offseason so far for Beane. I think we’ll see a starting veteran safety added today or tomorrow. Then it’s all about adding depth pieces in free agency. I think they will trade up for WR2.

And to be fair to Pegula he has been spending like crazy. This might be a slow down year for him.

The cap is not real cash! It’s not. The cap # is real, but you can spend a lot more cash than that.

Not with Josh Allen. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon. That’s the one thing we know.

And what you don’t spend this year can be carried over. It makes no difference. Basically by not taking all of it tells me there’s a self imposed cash limit set by the owner. In other words the owner isn’t a blank check this year.

That $7 million isn’t going to change much of anything spread out in future years.

Not all owners like to pay big cash bonuses.
