Lions should have ran on first down to see how the Ravens would play it and then go from there.

I guess only the Browns and Chiefs can get off of the Ravens run blockers.

I think the Ravens defense can be had if you attack them. Playing small ball plays to their strengths. Throwing the ball down the field is their vulnerability.

Tua was sacked 8 times in 2 games against the Colts and Pats and had MORE OL starters out this game. Only Bosa recorded a QB hit. Walker pressured a couple times as well, but overall the pass rush was anemic - even when Tua wasn’t getting the ball out fast.

Pretty soon it’s gonna be Walker starting next to Oliver.

Actually if you look at the play again, his assignment was the running back and he was running into the flat. Bernard sprinted that way to cover him and Tua inexplicably threw the ball to the curl route Dorian Williams was defending, right to Bernard. The offensive design of that play was bad. Tua either has to hold it for Bernard to clear, or throw it to the flat before he gets there. Bernard effectively covered two players.

When it bogs down that much, I do have to think Josh is leaving some plays out there. The All-22 will tell the truth.

Someone in the GDT said they had never seen a kick that bad. They must have missed the Bass chip shot against the Steelers in the playoffs that sliced wiiiiiiide left. THAT was the ugliest kick I’ve ever seen.

Rousseau does deserve plenty of criticism. Haven’t seen him flash as a pass rusher OR a run defender. I thought with the addition of Bosa he’d be more noticeable on the other end, but he’s playing like a $5M/yr guy.

Love Matt Milano, but it was the right move to cut a year off his contract. His body breaks down too often, time to get younger there. Bring in a top 100 draft pick at LB to compete with Dorian next year.

He doesn’t call an exciting offense and the passing game bogs down until the Bills are trailing, but we’re getting production when it matters most. As I said in another thread, there’s no need to run Josh Allen on 2nd and 9 from midfield. Let the RBs bang into the OL, let Josh pass, or scramble if it’s there. That’s what you’re paying him $55M to do. I don’t need to see him get seriously injured before the designed runs stop. Save that for the playoffs in the redzone.
