  1. So you're telling me that if you were a 2nd year (starting) QB in the league and the team just drafted your replacement, you'd hand over your jersey number to the new kid? If you say "yes" you're either lying, or you're not a competitor. I wouldn't hand over what I felt was mine either! At least not right away. The starting QB wins the number. That would be my terms.
  2. IIRC, Terrell Suggs ran a 4.8 something at the NFL combine and fell to the 11th pick b/c of it. If Ayers plays fast, his 40 time shouldn't be an issue.
  3. This is all very true and exactly how I saw the two. Wood is a natural center and has made his feelings known about playing the position. Barring injury, he will be the Bills' starting center for the next 10 years...
  4. LSU CB Patrick Peterson and UGA WR AJ Green, both scored very low on the wonderlic. "Peterson plays like a low test guy" is one scout's assessment. Yahoo Article
  5. Not sure why my video won't play. Is there some kind of ad website that pops up before the video, that my Host file may prevent loading? Of course I have Flash player installed and all of that good stuff. Anyone know of a potential conflict with my Host file?
  6. Remember when people were comparing Aaron Maybin to Jevon Kearse and Jason Taylor? Memories suck...
  7. You saw how fast they sprinted to the podium last year to select CJ Spiller. It was as if they were competing against another team to make the selection. Dear Bills Brass, You own the pick. You are not competing against anyone else. Use some time and see if a great offer rings the phone. Be smart. Above all, with the 3rd pick in the draft (or slightly lower) find us the next Buffalo Bill 1st ballot Hall of Famer...
  8. While I don't know much about these CBA talks, I DO know that NFL agents only charge around 3 percent of a contract. Could you imagine if they did make 20% on each multi million dollar contract? They would literally be swimming in money! Drew Rosenhaus Also, if he had to pay his literary agent 15-20%, then shame on him for being stupid. The standard take for agents on the entertainment side (acting, publishing, etc) is 10%.
  9. The infamous cigarette picture: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eliza-Kruger/192979414065313 Meh. He could've done better...
  10. I once heard a rumor about a guy who raped an entire box of Fruit Loops. Take it for what it's worth, it's just a rumor...
  11. Too bad the game couldn't be held in the middle of the season. Make week 10 "Pro Bowl" week, a bye week for the entire league. The Pro Bowl winner wins the Super Bowl coin flip. Of course, this would be unfair for the individuals who had to play in the Pro Bowl - they'd never get a bye to rest... Scrap the game altogether.
  12. What's amazing, is that out of all those names, I'm only familiar with Luck and Gabbert (granted I don't follow college football religiously). Have any of those other recruits gone on to have success?
  13. He's a talent for sure, but the growing concerns about work ethic, attitude, and cheap shots, are a little alarming. Not to mention he's only done it for a year AND he stated he'd like to play, "anywhere that isn't cold". Even if he did say this tongue in cheek, it's still not the best response to, "so where would you like to play?". He may be boom or bust, similar to predraft Maybin, but unlike Maybin, at least he performed at a top level against the best competition.
  14. I have a solution: gather about 8 different RBs & TEs and tie contracts around their necks. Put them, along with Poz, in an arena. Have Poz in the center and Trent Edwards off to the side to say "hut", "go", or "checkdown" (whatever he prefers). After a 1 second head start, Poz will then try to catch a player that has a contract around his neck. The better players in the league - such as the Antonio Gates and Chris Johnsons - will have $1B contracts around their neck. The lesser players - such as Alge Crumpler and Danny Woodhead - will have the average contract commensurate for a player of Poz's ilk. The outcome? Poz will not get paid, as Poz will not catch a single player..
  15. But, but, but.. according to dayman and polish lover, two of the posters on this board, giving Kelsay that extension was a solid move. "We can't replace everyone on defense." "Kelsay makes an average of what the players at his position make." "Kelsay is a hard worker, loyal, and a great special teams player." All arguments they tried to use to convince me Kelsay is not a waste of a roster spot. Anyone who agrees with the extension, doesn't have an idea of how to build a winning program. Any good GM would have waited until the end of the year, after which Kelsay would have played 16 games at OLB, assessed his play and then compensated him accordingly, or allowed him to walk. That's what good GMs do..
  16. I call BS. First of all, PFT is not exactly the most reliable of sites. Secondly, who is this John Czarnecki and did he personally have a talk with Shawne Merriman? Buddy Nix called Merriman before the waiver claim, just to make sure he was on board with the decision, and if he didn't want to be a Buffalo Bill, he had ample opportunity to reject Nix. Furthermore, if you want to say that Buddy Nix claimed him regardless of Merriman's desire not to be a Bill, then I highly doubt the two would have had dinner after Merriman arrived in Buffalo. BS all around. Link To "Story"
  17. Any front 7 combination that includes Kelsay as a starter, is an automatic FAIL. The guy can't get off the blocks of backup tight ends and fullbacks, how do you think he'd do going against an OT for the entire game?! He had 1 assist in 75 minutes of football at OLB last week, if you put him at DE, he won't have a single tackle for the remainder of the season. Every offensive play, he'll watch from the "pancake" position.
  18. I feel bad for saying it, but I want Kelsay to have a career ending injury. It seems to be the only way to get him off the field. Yes, I understand that football is just a game and this is how these guys make their living, but that is how much disdain I have for Kelsay. I hate his play more than Trent "frady cat" Edwards and that's saying something.
  19. Fred averaged 2.7 yds/carry on 20 carries. That's not production. Had he kept giving Jackson the ball, people would've complained that the offense was going nowhere. Like the others have stated, CJ Spiller needs to get more involved in the running game. On a team with this many holes, you don't take a player 9th overall, just to make him the primary KR and occasional RB/WR. He needs to be a playmaking difference maker in the regular offensive scheme..
  20. That's not an opinion. At least on the collegiate level, Luck is head and shoulders better than Locker. That's a fact.
  21. It's the Bills of course! I know nothing of Buffalo.. haven't even stepped foot on the snowy streets. All I know is my favorite NFL franchise resides there. It is because of the Bills and only the Bills, that I've even heard of Buffalo, NY.
  22. I know it's used all the time on here - Maybin/Maybinot - but this one made me laugh. Ngata should've been a Bill and it was disgusting when he was passed over. I think our turn for the worse began with the Erik Flowers pick, but at least he was at the end of the 1st round. All of these top 15, top 10, and top 5 picks that we have whiffed on, have been nothing short of miraculous. How does one organization get it wrong sooo many times?! It absolutely WOULDN'T have happened. Do you remember the articles about Marv sweating over the Edwards pick? They wanted Edwards in the worse way and graded him as a late 1st round pick. Edwards easily would've been selected with the higher 3rd, had that pick not been traded to move up to select McCargo.
  23. It's the genes! I like how the scoring horn would sound off, before he even got to the endzone - when he still had opposing players to beat.
  24. In comparison, I know that Luck looks MILES better at Stanford than TrINT did. He is also a winner, something that has always eluded our former QB (except for high school). If Luck doesn't declare, we'll probably draft another QB that will set this franchise back 5 more years. I'm not sold on "stone feet" Mallett.
