Patrick Peterson vs. the double yellowhead
Ramius replied to Dexter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eric King and Justin Geisinger still suck. -
I was thinking about the ridiculous criticisms about W not flying home from the Olympics to deal with whatever was happening. As if these guys remarkably can't be reached when they're not in the oval office.

Next thing you know, Dexter is going to be extolling the greatness of such losers as Justin Geisinger and Eric King.

Earthquake predicted for North America this week

The best part is that we've still been having very strong and powerful hurricanes. But they haven't hit the US, so they don't exist. -
Trent Edwards Jr my ass. Ponder is about as far from a scaredy cat vag as you can get. If anything, he needs to learn when to say when.

Patrick Peterson vs. the double yellowhead

You have 12 minutes to do 50 questions. Someone could easily only complete 15-20 questions in that time. So is 9/18 really that bad, simply because they report it as 9/50? -

Tough crap for the players. Pay cuts are occurring for employees of all walks of life across the board due to the economy. The players can deal with it. It doesn't matter what they got in the past, because there is no more CBA, as WEO said. And its not as if individual players are being asked to make pay cuts. They will all still make what they were before, and salaries will still rise on a yearly basis. They just won't rise as much as they were before, and there's nothing wrong with that. Happens all the time. I'm all for going back to the pre-2006 conditions where there were fixed players costs (with fixed yearly increases) and not this % of revenues crap. -
That could why. I can't stand Rihana either.

The owners offered to show the profits, which frankly, is all the players need to see. They have no need to see all the revenues and financial records of a private company. Hopefully on april 6th, the judge will backhand de smith, declare the decertification a sham, state that the NFLPA still exists (as it does) and force the players back to the table to accept a deal. I'm not sure why any Bills fans are on the side of the players. the bigger cut the players get means a higher salary cap, and we'd soon be at the point where the "cap" was meaningless. Whats the good of a 200 million dollar salary cap if onyl Dallas and Washington can spend to it? the cap needs to be like it was before 2006, when it actually had meaning and teams actually got penalized for bad contracts and not managing the cap wisely. I'd be fine if the players were going to put more money towards safety and post-career health benefits for retired players, but the NFLPA doesn't give a crap about them. they want to line their own pockets and thats it. -

I've all of a sudden gotten a bunch of random parent and baby-related mailings...coupons, magazines, etc. No idea where they came from, and they sure as hell aren't from my girlfriend, as she doesn't want to think about kids for another 5 years at least. -

With a mother like that, this kid's already screwed. As for the ivies, how prestigious are they, really? I mean, they let Sage in. -
Haley's 20, not 15. I called her that because thats what she looks like. She looks like the type of girl you target at the bar because you can take her home, she'll do anything you want, and you never even think of calling her back. Still, she's not as bad as Naima. I can't stand her. I felt like i got crabs from simply watching her sing. Pia is where it's at.

Less percentage. But make no mistake, in an absolute sense, the players will still be making MORE money. -
Last night was horrible. I fell off the couch laughing when, after Casey Abrams ran "Smells like Teen Spirit" through a woodchipper, my girlfriend said, "If Kurt Cobain wasn't already dead, he'd have killed himself after listenting to that." the arragements for most of the songs were shockingly awful. And to whoever said Haley was hot, she is a two-bit skank.

FSU's pro day was yesterday, and i figured it was worth noting that Marvin Lewis was the only HC in attendance. No word on which GMs and/or scouts were there. It appears cincy is hot after a QB. Then again I could be way off base. Given the lockout and Mike Brown's dubious ownership, Marvin Lewis might be the only scout for the bengals this offseason, hence the reason he was here.

NFLPA tells players to boycott draft
Ramius replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
gotcha. Which makes it even funnier. You're right. Even if they got a network, it would be hilarious having a "show" where the people are watching TV hoping to hear their names called. -
So now that he's pushing 330, are people still going to whine about how he's not "big enough" to play NT?

Gotcha. We seem to be more on the same side than i thought. The best thing for everyone involved, including the fans, is to get these chumps from both sides back to the table. -

And you've just answered yourself as to why the decertification is a sham. It was done with the sole intention of giving the players the ability to file lawsuits against the NFL. The players were not bargaining in good faith (something they accused the owners of). As for the lockout insurance, that wasn't made for a plan to lockout, it was made in case there was a lockout. Big difference. The players association, under idiot's direction, always intended to decertify. Hopefully the nice judge will call a spade a spade, and still recognize that the NFLPA exists and force them back to the table. They are up a creek because the judge that is completely biased and in their pocket isn't on the case. My beef with douchegab De Smith is that 1) he never intended to bargain, it was always his mission to take this to court, and 2) he's being a gigantic prick by using this huge issue to make a name for himself, and he's nto acting in the players' best interests. He's hoping to stamp his name on potentially sweeping changes in the NFL, so he can get all the glory. Someone with the players' best interests would still be at the bargaining table trying to work on a good deal. He's making this a dog and pony show to pump up his own name, and is simply using the NFLPA as his platform. The guy is an ignorant douchebag asshat. Smith's tactics would have worked in the 80s, when the owners had complete control. As of now, the owners and players are on almost equal footing, so De Smith essentially going all in, when there are only incremental gains to be made, is a moronic strategy. -
Pegula has "started ball rolling on Bills purchase"
Ramius replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also, "getting the ball rolling" is putting his name into the minds of the rest of the NFL owners, as a potential future owner/colleague. When there are potential buyers for any sports team, don't think the owners don't do their homework on the "new guys" prior to any transaction occuring. Pegula's got billions and owns another professional franchise. The other owners will be taking note of how he runs things and be measurng him up as a possible future owner. -
NFLPA tells players to boycott draft
Ramius replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't. I'll still watch the NFL network draft coverage as i have the last 4-5 years. I was simply wondering aloud how the players party is going to go down, since i doubt they could find a network to televise it. -

Ramius replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they won't have much to worry about when their decertification is rightfully declared a sham. funny how lots of players are almost backpedaling because the case is going infront of a judge that's not in their back pocket. The NFLPA will break and come crawling back to the table before long. The owners can much more easily wait this one out. The players are going to learn the hard way that you never get involved in a long, drawn out battle with someone that has 1000x more whatever (money, troops, etc) than you do. You'll always lose. Of course, this mess could have been avoided had the NFLPA not hired an ignorant douchebag (De Smith) as their head. He's the real problem here. -
If we draft peterson, all i hope is that he becomes a great player. If he is/turns into a great player, it will do nothing but benefit the team.

NFLPA tells players to boycott draft
Ramius replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Question...if the players do go through with this idiotic maneuver, and attempt to have their own draft party, what network is going to televise it? Whatever network chooses to is going to be in some hot water with the NFL, and will effectively kill any and all chances they have at broadcasting any type of NFL events in the forseeable future. The big networks aren't going to do it, and since a lot of the smaller cable ones are controlled by the big conglomerates, they wont either. Is this going to be on versus or something?
