  1. Its not a flawed stat. Its raw data showing that Quinn is a 1 year wonder who piled up sacks against inferior competition, and largely struggled against the good teams he faced. Not too unlike a certain #11 pick in 2009.
  2. I'm taking San Diego with my second pick. I'll get the drat order and time posted for the rounds tomorrow. I expect the draft to start wednesday morning at 9am eastern. We'll draft 9am-5pm, M-F, so my goal is this: Rounds 1-2 done on wed, thurs, fri, and next monday, and tuesday if we have overflow Round 3 next wednesday to thursday (i'll be out of the office next tuesday)
  3. Since his sophomore season, Von Miller showed marked improvement in his game and game-changing ability. What improvement has Quinn shown since his sophomore season?
  4. While a positive step, i think the best way to resolve this entire situation is to bar the lawyers from the room, and let the players talk to the owners directly. Mental midgets like demaurice smith (who are after their own personal gain, and do not have the NFLPA's best interests in mind) are whats ruining the entire process.
  5. Some info on Quinn, per Fat Peter's MMQB column.
  6. The Bills, while depth is needed at DE, will start Dwan Edwards on one side, and probably Carrington on the other.
  7. Everyone feel free to sign up for a second team. I'm holding pittsburgh until the very end in case Rich shows up.
  8. Feel free to sign up for a second team if you'd like. I'm hoping to start on wednesday. The draft schedule will be forthcoming.
  9. How exactly has Ralph treated the fans bad? I'm not defending the guy, and there are a lot of valid criticisms to be leveled in his direction, mainly in his handling of the team management. But i have never gotten the feeling that Ralph has ever treated the fans bad.
  10. The amount of disinformation on Ponder in this thread is laughable. Ponder does need to get better at the deep ball, but he's hardly got a noodle arm. He's got no problem getting velocity on the ball and throwing mid range passes with a lot of zip. He's probably doesn't have the highest potential/ceiling, but is a low risk QB who might be the most NFL ready at this point in time.
  11. Or, the most likely scenario is that the Ravens are doing their due diligence and believe he'll fall down into the 20s.
  12. The only reason the comparison is out there is because there's a segment of mouth breathers who looked at the weight and shouted "OMG! Its Aaron Maybin!" without actually doing any critical analysis. Similar to looking at a picture of a guy in a suit and then claiming you can determine his weight.
  13. This is usually about the time i bow out of watching idol, and i will again this year. Now, some talentless hack like tourette's boy is going to "win" and never pan out to anything. Given the results from yesterday, its obvious that the idol voters didn't learn that you should never go full retard. They went full retard last night.
  14. I'll let this go through the weekend, and then we'll let people double up on monday. Then we could probably start the draft mid week.
  15. If the pats* were giving up 17, 28, and 33 for #3 hell yes i'd trade down. But there's no way they'd ever give up that number of premium picks.
  16. If you guys were Arizona fans, would you want to give up a high second to move from #5 to #3? No? Then don't bank on it happening.
  17. Still plenty of spots left! Lets get some volunteers!
  18. And by this comment you mean its not ok to compare him to similar sized good players (Matthews), but it is ok to compare similar sized bad players (maybin). Actually, Quinn has more in common with Maybin than Miller. Both were one year wonders who racked up huge numbers against inferior competition, and did little against the top teams in their conferences. But Quinn is going to be good simply because he's bigger?
  19. You (at least in previous seasons) can use the idol right up to the final 5. Nothing has every changed at the merge regarding idol use. A lot rides on who comes back from redemption island. If Sarita finds a way to win, there's no telling which way she'd go. I can see her joining either tribe, or campaigning to remove david. I could also see Rob snagging her and using her to his advantage, ala Russel. The purple tribe is down in numbers, but there's too much variance going into this merge, with philip and david being total wildcards, as well as whoever comes back from redemption island. I dont think either "tribe" is very strong as a whole, but you've got some seemingly solid 4-5 person groups. I guess a lot depends on where those in the middle swing to. My prediction for the "big move" is that Matt comes back and tries to oust Rob right away. He was close to freaky-wide eyes girl on rob's tribe and i could see the other 2 morons (natalie and ashley) swinging to his side. But i also predict that Rob, in a shrewd move, tells the old purple tribe to vote for Matt, and Matt goes home after Rob plays his idol.
  20. Let's see, the Sabres trotted out their #3,5,7,8,9,10 defensemen as the starting 6 in that game, and its Miller's fault? Go back and watch the goals, and you'll find Rory Fitzpatrick just standing around. Miller is a great goalie and it viewed as one by the rest of the league. He's easily top 5. Any other lies you'd like to trot out after your "the vezina is determined by GAA" and "Miller has never led the sabres past the second round" gems? Why don't you at least attempt to save face and come up with the lame excuse that you were just kidding or just trolling? I'll give you that out right now before you further embarrass yourself.
  21. Sorry to burst some bubbles, but scouts don't follow ESPN and the talking heads. Anytime there's a significant jump in a player's "mock" projection, its the media catching up to the scouts. The media is largely clueless on where to rate players. Scouts rate players, and most NFL draft boards don't move very much form the end of the college season. Its the media that overhypes the combine and pro-days and has crazy changes on their mock drafts, not the scouts of NFL teams.
  22. Remind me who was in goal when we went to consecutive ECF's... but you're right...Miller has rarely, if ever turned in sterling performances. He has ridden the back of Buffalo's "superior" defense for his career here. As for the league wide "hype" about him, you honestly think that 29 other teams in the NFL thinking he's a great goaltender is simply just "hype"? Everyone in the NHL is in on some great conspiracy just to make Ryan Miller seem like a great goaltender? I swear to God, some of you don't even wait for paint to dry before eating the chips, you guys drink the Dutch Boy straight from the can.
  23. Reich played almost 3 quarters in the 3rd super bowl, coming in when the Bills were only down 14-7, and sucked.
  24. Not to mention that tebow comes from ponte vedra beach, FL, one of the most uppity, affluent, upper class areas in the state. He's hardly got a "blue collar" background.
  25. Had a classmate in HS commit suicide during our sophomore year. He was on year long suspension for putting a pipe bomb in one of the bathrooms. His family had it rough, as the kid's younger brother had cancer. I actually went to college with his partner-in-crime who was also suspended. He said they wanted to blow up the toilet as a prank and there was no human target.
