  1. I thought she got her olympic medals stripped due to PEDs.
  2. I'm around for SD's pick.
  3. Tampa Bay selects Lavonte David, OLB, Neb
  4. I'll be on for my picks.
  5. I (SD) was thrilled to have Floyd fall all the way down to 18. He should fill in for V-Jax nicely. I was also happy that the Vikes passed on Claiborne and i was able to snag him for TB at #5. He'll go a long ways to fixing the secondary.
  6. I don't know where you're coming up with these lies. I also don't know what idiotic scale you're using to somehow claim that DeCastro is rated higher than Luck. He isn't. Draftable players are compared against one another, NOT compared to where they might stack up versus the current players in the NFL. You rate all the draftable players versus one another, and take the highest rated player available. As K-9 has said numerous times, you take Andrew Luck because Luck is rated higher than DeCastro on an absolute scale of football ability. What K-9 is also saying is that in that same vein, you should also draft DeCastro over Bradon Weeden, because DeCastro is rated higher on an absolute scale of football ability. You're doing nothing but being a dishonest liar by claiming that K-9 is saying to take DeCastro over Luck. He isn't.
  7. Especially if we tell barbarian to use a different crayola to write each team's pick down.
  8. I know. It's not like they went on a witch hunt after Bernie Fine, with much more serious allegations, on evidence just as flimsy/non-existant.
  9. I've seen a good bit of Kuechly. He's a nice LB and would be a nice addition, but i don't think he's an impact player worth taking at #10. In the 20s, sure, but picking at 10, i want impact.
  10. i gotta go back into the lab, but since we're still waiting on the jets pick, SD will take either WR Michael Floyd or CB Stephon Gilmore with the #18 slot, in that order.
  11. Woohoo. The Bills blow the #10 pick on Poz jr. Nice job, fans.
  12. Great posts by Kelly and GG. I do have a problem with scouts like this guy who say nothing but "Player X is overrated. Player Y isn't as good as thought." This is a business where what, 80% of draftees turn out to be "failures." Anyone can predict a player will suck and won't pan out and still be right most of the time. Wake me up when the scout starts predicting correctly which players will turn out good and i'll pay attention.
  13. Yawn. Please let me know when NFL teams get the benefit of 2 years of hindsight when making their current draft selections. plain and simple, in the spring of 2010, JPP was not the best player available, for the exact reasons i stated. Spiller was mentioned at that time as one of the most explosive playmakers available.
  14. Tampa Bay selects Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
  15. At the same time, if your top 10 draft pick is playing up to the perceived abilities, you're going to be working on re-negotiating an extension before he hits the 5th year. Pioli simply doesn't like his draft spot and is trying desperately to drum up trade interest.
  16. If Claiborne and Richardson are gone at #3 and 4, the Buccs would most likely take Kalil. Sure they have Penn, but he's only been decent the past couple of seasons, not great. And Trueblood hasn't been good at all on the right side. Word out fo Tampa is that they love all 3 of Claiborne, Richardson, and Kalil.
  17. Reach has absolutely no meaning in the real context of the NFL draft. "Reach" implies a player had a lower value then where drafted. But who determined that value? Kiper? Draftniks? Mock drafters? They're all wrong. NFL teams are correct. The only assessment that matters is what the NFL decides. If a player is drafted at #8, and kiper says the player should have been drafted at 20, then the team did not "reach." It means Kiper was wrong in his assessment.
  18. If we need more owners, i'll take San Diego.
  19. Claiming JPP was the BPA is nothing more than disingenuous hindsight at its finest. Spiller was one of the top talents in the 2010 draft. JPP on the other hand, was a one-year wonder from a low class (football wise) school in a bad conference. He was far from the clear cut BPA, even when the Giants picked him. Yes, he has worked out greatly for them, but that doesn't change how he was viewed coming out of college.
  20. Steve Hutchinson is better than Mike Williams. And according to you, Aaron Maybin should always be drafted because he playes a premium position, regardless how much better other players may be than him. You're the one who insists that position is the most important criteria for drafting players, and not actual talent. The Bills haven't drafted a RB every 3 years because of BPA. (Spiller was the only BPA) They continually draft RBs because they decide to continually get rid of their current RB.
  21. Valuing position over absolute ability gives you draft picks such as Aaron Maybin. All things being equal, then you take the LT, DE, etc. But since all things are NOT equal, you take the best football player on the board.
  22. Depending on what types of coverages teams run (especially given that on the majority of snaps, there are 5-6 DBs on the field), its not unusual to see a team trot out 3 safeties.
  23. As usual, I'll take Tampa bay.
  24. I got the ticket for free last season, after complaining that new customers got it for free and I, as a long standing customer, was getting hosed. I'll still probably wait until july or august and see if i can talk them down.
