Good post, but its tough to compare McCargo to Ngata stat wise and play wise. While listed as a DT, Ngata plays the DE position on the ravens 3-4 defense. The ravens are a unique team in that they do not employ the traditional DE's and DTs. If you look on their roster, they list around 7 DTs, while only 1 DE. They line up 3 "DTs" at all 3 line positions. Kelly Gregg was holding the DT position last year, with Ngata as DE.

Notice how they said McKelvin has been getting most of the work on the outside. To me, that says that he's going to be starting sooner rather than later. If they had him pegged as a nickel back, he'd be getting reps in the slot. With any luck, Greer will be moved to nickel by midseason or sooner.

Maybe if he stands on your shoulders, he could hit NG in the nuts.

He asked you the question. If you guarantee your answer will be deeper and more thought out, then post it. If you are going to be a girl and continue to refuse to answer him, then next time dont choose to play where your dress might get dirty.

Fresh are better, but for frozen burgers, its tough to beat bubba burgers.

I dont see how you can say McCargo and Williams were "part of the problem." Larry tripplett was definitely part of the problem, but mccargo and williams were simply 2nd year players. to pin the problems on them is simply foolish. I for one feel that they will continue to get better in the upcoming year or so. Most people realize that DTs take a while to completely hit their stride, and few dominate from the get go in their 1st season or 2. With an upgraded defense across the board, we'll have a better change to truly see the talents of those 2 guys.

Thats exactly the point of the cover-2. But also, Stroud doesnt need to be 350 to take up 2 blockers. If he consistently draws the double team, it frees up our other linemen to make disruptive plays in the backfield. He doesnt have to clog anything like big ted did (obviously he cant get blown off the ball). By him drawing 2, you have 1-on-1 battles along the rest of the DL, and then you dont have OL getting to the second level, which subsequently frees up our LBs to make plays.
-
The Bills spent so much on the DL because you need a good rotation of DTs, especially on a cover-2 team where you do NOT have 2 DTs playing 75% of the snaps. Not to mention that Spencer Johnson will be playing some DE as well. Secondly, on the topic of starters, Anthony Thomas was "starting" over Fred Jackson for a while last year. Jauron tends to give his vets the "starting nod" over younger players, even if they are better, and/or have more upside. Also, what does "starting" matter when they rotate. Say Kyle Williams plays the first play of the game, and then McCargo plays more plays? Sure Williams is the "starter," but in reality it doesnt mean much.

Shhhhhhhh! you're liable to be hanged around these parts for talk like that. The only way to win is to have big fat guys on both sides of the lines.

She looks dirty. Perhaps she would do things for him that Christy wouldnt?

i hear ya...i have a similar peeve about the millions that do not know or understand the difference between dominate (verb) and dominant (adjective). If i hear that the bills are going to be a dominate defense this year one more time, i may flip out. I suppose your complaint takes precedence however. Lets stick with the spelling basics before we more to much more complicated topics like grammar. On second thought, i'm guessing that our defense not being dominate is why we continue to loose games.

My fav shirt that i still have and wear is my Clarkson class of 2003 shirt we got as incoming freshmen. Comfortable as hell, fits great, but sadly, it may be on its last legs after only 9 years. I've worn the hell out of that thing and its beginning to fall apart.

Judge rules against Seneca Nation on Buffalo casino

Claiming that putting a casino in is going to encourage more people to gamble away their paycheck and become degenerates is skin to saying that putting a bar on the corner is going to encourage people to become alcoholics. -
Did we know this? DTs will switch assignments

What QB is going to throw to what WRs for the dolphins? As much as you think the Bills suck at those positions, the dolphins are exponentially worse. -
Thats nice. You look like a Helen. Helen, let me tell you why i suck at sales.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/886/886672p1.html IGN ran a simulation of the 2008 season based on today's rosters. The Bills finished 6-10, and in last in the AFC East, behind the fins (8-8), jets (10-6) and the pats* (13-3). The cowboys beat the cheaters* in, true to madden form, the hype, errr, i mean, super bowl. Sure it doesn't mean anything, but madden is always good discussion/flaming fodder around here. Plus, our finish will give the negative ninnies something to cheer about.

Hmmmm. What went wrong with the falcons then? They had Doug Johnson and Roddy white. That should have guaranteed success.

You guys know me all to well. The only way to build a winning team is to draft WRs early and often, and one should spend multiple first round picks on them. Ideally, the 2008 draft should have been Steve Johnson at #11, Hardy at #41 and Early Doucet or Mario Manningham in round 3. Some people will compare the Bills drafting strategy to the Lions. But that foolish. The Lions are doing it right, seeing how they have drafted 4 WRs in the top 10m picks in 5 years. Compare that to the Bills, who have spent only a single, that is 1, first round pick on a WR since 1996. 1 first round WR in 12 years simply isnt going to cut it.
-
ITs just a gut feeling, but in a few years, i think Steve Johnson will be turn out to be better than Hardy.

putting my anti-florida bias aside, UGA is the team to beat in the SEC, if not the nation, not UF. FSU got some bad news yesterday when we found out that our starting LG is out for the season with a blood clot in his leg. I hope the kid is alright, and thats a big blow to the OL. We didnt have a ton of experienced OL depth to begin with and this certainly doesnt help. FSU at #26 seems reasonable. Where is the rest of the ACC ranked?

Hurricane Bertha is First of the 2008 Season

Here's actually one of the better (one of the best, IMO) hurricane forecasters out there. http://www.crownweather.com/ -
The best i've ever seen was this February at the Bud Shootout in daytona. Guy walking in work boots, 80's length cutoff jean shorts, a wife beater tucked into those shorts, and a gator cap on. Thats pretty much the typical gator fan down here in florida (not counting UF students and faculty). Of course, the best type of gator fan to make fun are the ones attending FSU.My buddy in FSU med school has a ton of gators in his class. We make fun of them because they were all too stupid to get into UF med school.
