Well, at least the intention was there. I liek how FSU has UF and Colorado as 2 of their OOC games. 1 top team, and 1 "decent" team., I dont like the fact that we scheduled 2 I-AA teams, but i understand why it was done.
-
That is rough. I for one would like to see each and every "top" team in the nation schedule 1 big time OOC game per season, and 1 "average" game, leaving 2 cupcakes. Tennessee-Cal is big OSU-Texas is big OSU-USC is big Games like that.
-
FSU is playing the same number that UF typically plays. Not that it justifies it, but the only reaosn we have 2 I-AA games scheduled is due to the suspensions from last season. As for the SEC, thats just it...aside from a few marquee matchups, the other SEC games arent "top" games. They are just your average conference game, but the SEC would like to whine and contend that Alabama and Vandy is a "marquee" game.

I'd actually welcome another retarded JP vs edwards debate. It would break up the monotony of deciding which threads to read on the board. "Hmmm, do i want to read about peters, peters, peters, favre, peters, favre, favre, peters, favre, peters, peters, or favre?"

If thats the case, they they should just wrap up the series. I've loved the show since its inception, but when you have main characters starting to go away (Sara, Warrick, now grissom), it means your show is in decline. CSI has had a great run of what, 8 seasons now? End it while you are still a good show, and dont drag it down by "replacing" main characters. Look at how terrible the final 2 seasons of X-files were without duchovny. Dont let CSI turn into that.

You'll get no arguements from me on either one of those points. I just think theres no difference if peters gets his money now or is he gets his money in february. Either way he's going to play this season, and he's going to make the big bucks. He can threaten to never sign with the bills, but when they toss 25 mil guaranteed to him next february, he'll gladly sign it.

So you are implyig that safeties dont deserve big bucks at all, only OL does?

Is this season Petersen's last then?

Time to admit a 5th and 6th from 2005 were good picks
Ramius replied to LaDairis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"but..but...but...switching positions is HARD." You'd think that a player of Geisinger's caliber would have no trouble adapting to a new position along the OL. As for King vs Greer, lets look at career paths. One player got cut and has played a little bit of backup CB and ST for a team, while the other player vaulted himself into the starting lineup. Looks like the Bills made the right choice. -

Oh thats right. I forgot that you're the girl who accuses someone of "parroting," when they come up with a well thought, fact based argument and there happens to be others who agree with their stance. If King is so good, then why do the titans bring in an extra safety during nickel packages. Surely they must recognize the canton-bound talent they have at CB in Eric King. Unless the Titans are idiots too because they dont think Eric king is worth anything more than a backup CB spot and a STer. There are dozens of players in the league of eric king's "caliber" which falls under the category "isnt very good." They are nice players that teams need to round out the roster, but cutting or signing them has minimal effect on the franchise's success. As for Geisinger, he's played in 2 games in his career. Not too many teams sit good players to the extent that geisinger has been glued to the bench. Generally in the NFL, good players play, and garbage players dont play. So with 2 career appearances in 3 years, where does geisinger fall? the latter category. Look, we know that your panties get moist and you get that little tickle in your belly when you see geisinger and king play. But stop making it out like the franchise has been destroyed because we cut a couple of late round backup scrubs that frankly, have done next to nothing in the NFL. -
The A-11 Offense (All 11 Potentially Eligible)
Ramius replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems to like a 4 man rush with a simple zone defense would effectively neutralize this offense. -
Thanks. Is it possible that they simply dont want to overload him with too many assignments this early on? Perhaps keep him on the outside now, and if need be, you can move greer inside to the slot in the nickel package (where he's done a very good job), and then put McKelvin on the outside.
-
Yup. NFL stadiums arent even on the same playing field with crowd noise when compared to the big time colleges. Get an FSU-UF or an FSU-miami game up here, and you cant even hear the stadium announcer, the noise levels re so deafening.

huge Bible burning completely censored in US
Ramius replied to LaDairis's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Apparently, Eric King and Justin Geisinger have been tearing the league apart the past 2 seasons since being let go by the Bills, but their game lines and stats are being censored by the Jew media, making it only appear that they havent done sh--. -
Well, if McKelvin is being set up to take over a starter's role, its more effective to have him on the second team outside CB spot, instead of the slot nickel spot. You want him to learn the position he's going to be spending most of his time playing. As for corner, he's going to be coming off the bench in possibly nickel, or most likely dime situations, where he's going to be required to cover a slot WR.

Eric King is so good that he's knocked down 4 passes in his entire 3 year career, all of them coming in Buffalo. He has 0 pass deflections in the last 2 years. my guess is that opposing QBs are quaking in fear of his prowess and they are scared to even throw at him. As for Geisinger, 3 years, 3 teams, 2 career game appearances. Who else is reserving their tickets for his induction ceremony? -

Actually i am working on an advanced degree and have already had to go through 1 defense. And low and behold, when i made my statements, i had to back them up with fact when questioned. I wonder how it would have gone if i took your approach when they questioned me, "well, i said it, therefore its true, so you must prove me wrong." I can guarantee you my profs would have laughed me out of the room. -

You arent seriously saying that anyone can make up whatever bull sh-- they feel free to, and then the onus is on everyone else to prove them wrong? -
I dont know why you're all over Obama. He's always been a proponent of "change." He didnt want the votes to count, and now he's "changed" and thinks they should count.

Nice to see LaDipshit is back to his ignorant ways again after a brief board hiatus. p.s. - i saw eric king and justing geiseinger burning bibles the other day. -
Yup, and he's been playing very well since he recovered from that incident.

You've never heard of Ken Hamlin? He's a good young safety, and had a breakout year last season. He was solid the couple of years prior, but last year he broke out. (He's also a much better safety than Roy Williams). Hamlin also made the pro-bowl last season. He signed for big bucks because Dallas had brought him in on a 1 year deal and then franchise tagged him. They worked out a long term deal with him then over the summer. And the reason evans wants a new deal is because he's a UFA after this season, so we need to re-sign him. I also believe Peters deserves and shouild and will get his money. However, i am with Kelly the Dog and believe that Peters can wait until next february to get his huge payday. He doesn't need it today. He'll still show up for the season, and he'll still re-sign with the team. Take care of evans now, and then worry about peters during and/or after the season.

Open QB competition in GB w/Farve
Ramius replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with LA. Rodgers should sit down and refuse to practice or participate with the team until he's traded. All offseason, the team told him thei were in his corner, and now they flip-flop? Its not like Rodgers has any chance of "winning" this farce of a QB competition coming up. The pack better win it all this year or hopr brohm pans out, because Rodgers should and will most likely bolt.
