  1. Has the 2008 version of the rams shown that they can score? 29 points and 600 total yards in 3 games says otherwise. As was said yesterday, trent green hasnt played in a year and is one solid hit from being taken off the field in a body bag. The rams OL is in shambles. And who exactly is Holt's company? I'll leave out the fact that Holt was once a great WR, but now is 32 and his YPC have declined steadily the past 4 seasons. As for his "company," Donnie Avery, Drew Bennett, Dante Hall and Dane Looker really dont scare anyone.
  2. Wow, up until this point, only the pats* were known for this. Their OG Logan Mankins has a liking for opposing linemen's genitals.
  3. I guess we just interpreted his comments differently then. I simply saw it as him doing the "i'm getting too old for this sh--" schtick , in jest, that we've all done.
  4. Judging by your reaction to what Schobel said, and in the tone of how he said it, i can tell you probably never played sports after the age of 12.
  5. Repeat after me, "Every comment made about Trent Edwards does NOT always have some underlying implication about JP Losman."
  6. The bigger concern is that one more shot may actually kill trent green. I have no idea why he's still attempting to play, especially behind that line.
  7. At least you're sending your smartest family member. And who exactly are we going to cut from the current roster to waste a spot on this needed "player thats also a coach?"
  8. Thats because Schobel's 67 career sacks are all either coverage sacks or in garbage time. [/tards] Good post, simon.
  9. I feel the Bills should hold off on any free agent signings until we get through the impending rapture/apocalypse you've been preaching (occurring prior to the SD game). We may need the FA dollars elsewhere after that. Sure we could sign a WR now, but what happens if our entire secondary gets raptured? Then we'll need the bucks to fill out that part of the roster.
  10. Give emmit some credit for being able to form a coherent sentence. You kinda half expect him to say, "bills schedule team not good bad jerry jones dallas superbowl."
  11. Disagree completely. You do not let someone come into your house and insult you like that. You smack them in the mouth. Donte's tackle wasnt cheap and it sent a very good message to the rest of the team and to the raiders. You don't come into our house and try some bull sh--. I aint saying to make it a habit, but there are times when things need to be done, and yesterday was one of them.
  12. What does Reed's size have anything to do with his ability for the QB to find him? Seems to me the coaching staff is putting him into situations where he can succeed. Being tall or "big" has nothing to do with a WRs ability to get open or the QB's ability to find him on the field. Trent can find him because Reed is a heady player who knows where he needs to go to get open and/or in the QBs vision. I'd be interested to hear your take on the Whitner tackle of Higgins...I"m glad he did that because it wasnt a cheap shot and i like the message it sent that this team will not put up with any bull sh-- in our house. Thusfar, he and stroud are the heart of this very good defense. Trent played a garbage 1st 3 quarters but stepped it up in the 4th in crunch time. He simply knows when he needs to get it done and goes out and does it, which is something this franchise has been sorely lacking. In only 12 starts, he's brought us from behind in the 4th 4 times already. That is something you simply cannot teach. He played his nuts off in the 4th yesterday and pretty much took over the game.
  13. Got it. So when you simply stat parroted that king had as many tackles as Harper, that means that the texans were picking on King, because they know of his inability to provide any decent coverage.
  14. If someone wins after the apocalypse has taken place next month, can you please pay out the winnings in silver?
  15. Wow. king deflected a pass. Congrats. Its been a long time coming, because his last pass defensed was back in 2005. 1 pass deflection every 3 years. Canton, make room for Eric King! As for geisinger, he's just so good that he was inactive...again.
  16. just sorta there collecting 10 sacks per season. But i know, lots of guys in the NFL do that.
  17. Sergio was making like it was a major, not the ryder cup.
  18. That was great. But not as good as sergio getting fugged up 5 and 4. The little bastard spaniard got what was coming to him.
  19. 10 sacks per season. All coverage, huh? When was our secondary this good?
  20. Knew it was about time for another Schobel bashing thread.
  21. The pats need to trade for justin geisinger and Eric king. Those 2 will lead them to 10 more super bowls.
  22. Apparently Ronnie Brown just scored again...
  23. Well, a few years back Polian said that he considered the following positions "keepers" on his team, and these guys were getting the big bucks if they were good; QB, WR, LT, DE, and S. Notice who he's kept and paid the big bucks to on the Colts?
  24. Well, the issue with rising and good teams is knowing who to keep and who is good but easily replaceable. To me, players like Lee Evans and Jason Peters are indispensable. They deserve the big bucks. You pay your stars, and you're going to have to let some players walk. That is players like Greer and Crowell. They are both nice players and add to the team, but are easily replaced via FA or the draft, so you don't break the bank for them. I'd like to keep Greer, but with youboty coming on and mckelvin waiting in the wings, theres no reason to pay the Greer 5-6 mil per year he'll get on the open market. Look how the colts do it. They pay their superstars big bucks to stay around, but this means you have to let decent players walk for more money elsewhere. They're constantly losing players, but they lose them at easily replaceable positions like LB.
  25. I dont know if Youboty signed a 3 or 4 year deal, but if he signed a 3 year deal and his contract is up this year, then he'd be a RFA, not a UFA.
