Driving home from Niagara Falls to Orchard Park one Saturday evening, on Niagara Falls Blvd. Pulled over for suspended registration. The unfortunate thing was it was in the Nazi Town of Amherst, so I spent the night in a very sterile Town of Amherst jail cell. Fun fact, the Town of Amherst Police Department used to have their very own Mcdonald's just for cops and prisoners. And sure enough, I ate McDonalds. I was transferred to the Erie County Holding Center and spent all of 30 minutes in a cell with a guy who was there on DWI until a friend came and bailed me out. The Town of Amherst wouldn't let me or anyone post bail until I saw the judge, and that was around 7 pm Sunday Night. 1 out of 10. Don't recommend.

It makes sense, and it works.

The danger is sitting with a psychiatrist, and they give you a bipolar diagnosis after 15 minutes with you. I know I have a solid diagnosis. I've seen 3 psychiatrists. The first one was with me for 2 hours. The 2nd one gave me a series of tests for 3 days to diagnose me. The third was with me for 3 hours. All said Bipolar 1 with Rapid Cycling. The key is a psychiatrist who takes their time and covers all the basis with an individual before their diagnosis. With medication, people all too often feel good on medication, saying to themselves, I don't need this anymore. I feel fine, and they're in a manic or depressed episode soon after. I actually went to one of my PAs in California and said I wanted to smoke marijuana as a supplement to my medication. She made a deal with me. I could get my medical marijuana card, and use marijuana as my sole bipolar medication. I was to report back to her in a month about my mood, and articles from non-marijuana-friendly publications. I had to stop smoking weed after 3 weeks, due to going into a depressed episode. All the articles I found said the same thing. THC actually increases bipolar symptoms/episodes. That was certainly true for me. As much as I would love to have a joint or an edible, I know for myself I can't.

@boaterThere's one restaurant in the village of Kenmore that gets a thumbs up from me. Mike and Pops on Delaware. It's right next to the Kenmore Post Office. Really cool, old-style decor. And most importantly, good food. -

Vidlers and Wallenines I forgot about. And all the bakeries near Walleniens too! -
Speaking only for myself, I don't let that bother me. I am what I am. It's their problem is they label me. All I can do is share my experience and hopefully change some minds. If I don't do that, I know I did what I had to do, what's best for me.

Just reopened. The owner who sold it a couple of years back bought it again and re-opened it. -

I see your points. More of those regarding East Aurora. It's a very quaint town. Lots of great architecture. If you're in to way back American history, the birthplace of President Millard Filmore is in the village. The Roycroft is also a museum (with a swanky hotel on the grounds). Lots of turn of the century homes you can walk, drive past. -
All this foreign talk is slightly erotic...

I don't think you derailed it in any way, shape, or form. Everything said is connected in one weird way or another. And I had listened to "Easy Way to Quit Smoking" (The Allen Carr book), and when I actually did quit, no panic, no outbursts of anger. I did feel withdrawal from quitting the nicotine gum, rather than cigarettes, or vaping (which I did prior to NYE 2019.) My wife and I were coming back from a funeral in Syracuse in December 2019 for a close college friend of hers. My vape stopped working on the drive back home, and I was like, "That's a bummer. Let me pop this gum in".

One of the great traditions of Cal Football is Tightwad Hill. Literally a hill above where the Bears play football. Not a bad view either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tightwad_Hill

You will receive MANY suggestions. Here's mine. The village of East Aurora. There's Bar Bill and many other places to eat on one end of Main Street (Misters, burgers and such, nice bar, Pasquale's Italian Restaurant, The Pulled Yolk breakfast place, and a small bit of a walk, there's an ice cream shop owned by Steve Tasker's son. The other end of Main Street is more of a shopping district and higher-end restaurants (Ricks on Main). There's a Hampton Inn just off of Main at the end of the Main Street Strip. If you really wanted to impress your wife and family, however, stay at the Roycroft Inn. It's pricy but totally worth the cost. The Roycroft is in the middle of the Main Street Strip. The best part is it is a straight shot down Route 20A right to the Stadium. About 10 minutes not taking into account stadium traffic.- 93 replies

I am in the midst of my trial. What I didn't like is no matter how small the story is, you get an email about it. I'm getting about 10 to 15 emails a day from the news. So I wrote to cancel. They fought hard to keep me. I fought harder. My trial ends in November.

Jonny Manziel documentary on Netflix is great

I didn't take any anger away from what you said. None at all. When I was thinking about jumping off the bridge and standing on the deck, I actually felt peace about it. Like it was the right decision. I'm 100% sure as I would be falling towards the ocean, I would immediately regret it and just hope I would live when I hit the water. But leading up to it, it all just made sense to me. It was hearing the words, "Try the psych ER doc one more time", and getting permission to carry out with it if the psych ER doctor didn't come though, that also made sense. I'm hella glad I made the latter decision. -

I am so sorry to hear this. Suicide when you're contemplating it, seems like the only way out. You're truly only thinking about yourself. Hearing this, it has much farther-reaching effects. There's nothing I can say that will ease the pain. -
I remember this statistic being high, just went and verified it. Just over 41% of all people with Bipolar smoke, whereas 21% of the general population smoke. I was a smoker. Thankfully the last anything I had to smoke was December 31, 2019. Chewed nicotine gum after that, and gave that up sometime in the fall of 2021. This is good, because smokers in the general population have a 1 in 4 chance of quitting smoking, while people with bipolar have a 1 in 10 chance of quitting.

Only uploaded what was taken off of (if I remember) Etsy. Someone here on TSW saw them, saved them, and posted them here, the guy on Etsy who posted them deleted them like 15 minutes after he posted them. I had them emailed to me and uploaded them via Google Drive so they can be seen better. -
