I think McD is safe for sure. He's not a bad coach and seems to have a good rapport with the players. He may be young enough to adapt and he's been part of quality organizations.
Beane, on the other hand, should be on shakier ground. He was hired to be McD's personnel guy - questionable enough, given that McD as a first-time coach didn't deserve to have that kind of reporting structure. And perhaps it's time to strip McD of his personnel powers, given the state of the roster - which effectively means canning his personal personnel person. That's what I would do.
