  1. World Class and the Von Erich boys forever.
  2. It is a little surprising to me that they keep bringing in DT's. We Drafted 2 in the First 4 Rounds, signed Ogunjobi (even tho he's suspended), claimed Casey Rogers on Waivers, and now this. The position i've been waiting to see them bring someone in at and surprised they haven't done anything at is Linebacker. They didn't even bring in any competition for Buffalo Joe or Edefuan Olofoshio. MLB seems particularly thin, as outside of Bernard - there's just Joe and Spector.
  3. A 7th Round Pick by the Houston Texans out of Kansas in 2024. Was cut after Training Camp and Signed to Houston's Practice Squad. Released by Houston and then Signed to the New England Patriots Practice Squad. Released by New England after the Draft. More than likely a Camp Body. We released our only UDFA DT to make room.
  4. One from the field of Hancock and Lewis *is* a lock. The question is which one? Or do both make it? We have to have at least one Backup Nickel, which was Cam last season, doubling as a Safety and being counted on the Safety Depth Chart. Jordan Hancock is being brought in for the same role as a Backup Nickel and Safety. Will he outright replace him in Year 1? Time will tell. While @Bleeding Bills Blue is technically correct that none of them can be called locks (although I agree it's unlikely Hancock is going anywhere) - that doesn't mean it's wide open for a UDFA. Rapp and Bishop will be here. One of Hancock and Lewis will be here. And then there's one more spot for Hamlin (who I don't believe will go from Starter last year to cut until I see it), the loser of the Hancock/Lewis competition, Forrest, and then Owens as a longshot. In my opinion, it will either be Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, and Hancock or Rapp, Bishop, Hancock, and Lewis. I envision that Forrest and Owens on the outside looking in, in the eyes of Beane and McDermott.
  5. I think you're confusing what you'd like to see with what's likely. If McBeane felt that he provided no value as at least a depth player and he was a "cut after 2 Pre-Season games" candidate, they wouldn't have re-signed him. I think you (and many of the board's) opinion of Hamlin and the teams opinion of Hamlin differ exponentially. You may *want* to see Hamlin off the team, just like everyone wanted him to be replaced in the Starting Lineup last season. But I'll believe that will happen when I see it. Most of the board sees him as a terrible player. McDermott sees him as a player he started all of 2024 and that they brought back when they easily could have let him go. And then they did very little in way of competition for his roster spot. I find it hard to believe they're going to go from him Starting all last season and not being replaced to not even being the 4th Safety and cut. Hancock is Lewis' competition. Forrest is Hamlin's. And again, I'll believe it when I see it that they'd move on from a guy they started all last season for a 1.3m journeyman that they only guaranteed $100k to or an Undrafted Free Agent in Owens.
  6. I don't think that Tiger is changing his stripes.
  7. I don't see Rodgers and Tomlin working out. They're in a tough spot this season and so they've turned to him. But Rodgers is a control freak with a Coach that has total control and won't take sh-t from anyone. This looks like something that has a 1 year life expectancy rate and i'd be really surprised if the two don't butt heads by the end of the season.
  8. That's why I said I don't think he has much of a shot, not that he has no chance. Between possible injuries and surprise off the field issues, it's not impossible for anyone who's at Training Camp to make the Roster. But it's pretty unlikely to me. The number at Safety is almost always 4. As you said, Rapp and Bishop are locks. I also think at least one of Jordan Hancock and Cam Lewis are locks. Both are Backup Safety and Backup Nickel that are listed as Safeties or "DB" falling under the Safety Depth Chart (given the crowded field at CB). Of the 11 5th Round Picks that were selected in the McBeane regime, not a single one were outright cut as a Rookie. The exceptions from those 11 5th Round Picks that didn't make the roster in Year 1 are Vosean Joseph and Justin Shorter, who were "redshirted". I see Hancock brought in as a replacement for Cam Lewis, as both the words of the team and the player say he's playing the exact same role. With Hancock, I see 3 possible scenarios: 1.) He outright replaces Lewis and Lewis is released, saving 1.75m in Cap 2.) Hancock doesn't look ready to take on the role from Lewis, he's "redshirted", and Lewis keeps his spot alongside Rapp, Bishop, and most likely one of Hamlin or Forrest 3.) They like the idea of having 2 guys who can play Safety, Nickel, and Special Teams and keep both Hancock and Lewis as the depth underneath Rapp and Bishop. Ultimately, I see it playing out like this: Rapp and Bishop are locks. For one of the spots, it comes down to Jordan Hancock or Cam Lewis, who double as the Backup Nickel CB. And the other spot comes down to Hamlin or Forrest. I think if the board got their way, Hamlin would be cut. But I think the brass views him MUCH differently. I'll believe it when I see it that they go from Starting him to not even having a place for him as depth. Save for unexpected injuries or off the field things that could bring suspensions or cuts, Owens would have to beat out Hamlin and Forrest and also have the Bills thinking Hancock over Lewis instead of Hancock and Lewis. It's a big ask. UDFA's generally only tend to make it when the depth is poor and they don't have many options, like Buffalo Joe at LB. Safety isn't one of those situations.
  9. I don't see Owens having much of a shot. The problem with Safety isn't Depth. Which is usually what a UDFA makes it on. It's lack of studs at the top. There's hope Bishop can be one of those guys for us and we'll see. But between all of the depth chart from last year returning in Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop, Damar Hamlin, and Cam Lewis (Backup Nickel and Safety) plus the additions of Derrick Forrest and Jordan Hancock (Backup Nickel and Safety) - we're already going to be cutting a couple from that list alone. Owens would essentially have to beat out 3 of those players above to make it as the last Safety.
  10. I don't know that I've ever truly rewatched a full game. I'll rewatch highlights after wins. But that's about the extent of it.
  11. Exactly. It's fine for someone to have the opinion that they shouldn't pay him. But inaccurate exaggerations like "0 Power" or "Ty Johnson is our Best All Round RB" to argue that position are flat out ridiculous. People are allowing their hate to skew and diminish what kind of playmaker James Cook is in our Offense. You can have the opinion that we should let him walk without having to straight up lie to yourself and others about his qualities.
  12. You're flat out drinking Haterade if you think Ty Johnson is "our best all around back". That's like saying Cam Lewis is our best all around DB bc you can put him all over the field. James Cook is Josh's best Offensive Playmaker period. Ty Johnson is a 2.5m a year RB. A good blocker with some Receiving skills - but not NEARLY the weapon that Cook is.
  13. For what? The Draft's over and there's no RB in the market to replace him with of any value. We'd be trading him for a pick in 2026. Of which, we'll probably get the same amount in Compensation in 2027 by keeping him, and possibly more depending on how much he signed for elsewhere. If we're trading him for a Pick next season and we're rolling with Davis and Johnson anyways, we might as well wait out the holdout and have him with them for the Playoffs.
  14. More than once. A 70 page one and a 27 page one. Anytime it goes a week or so without comments and they fall off the page, someone creates a new James Cook thread for people to lose it all over again in. At this point, there should be a Pinned all encompassing James Cook thread.
  15. I suppose that's fair. I just feel like simply stating "Dalvin held out the Offseason" doesn't tell the whole story. For as much vitriol and/or fear of a serious holdout people have towards James's situation and comparisons being made to his brother, implicating a bad influence - Dalvin never held out so much as a single Training Camp practice. Even when he was openly saying he was going to hold out, which James hasn't.
  16. Not the entire Offseason. Despite threatening to Hold Out, Dalvin reported to Training Camp on time. https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-rb-dalvin-cook-minnesota-is-where-i-want-to-be-at
  17. "On the cheap"? He'd have the 6th highest cap figure on the team...
  18. Any MCU Dorks like me? She was awesome as Kate Bishop in Hawkeye. And funny too. Both her and Josh literal superheroes.
  19. We don't have the space to do that. We're only 2m under right now. Which is why we haven't signed Hairston, Sanders, and Walker yet. We'll have to come up with a fair amount of cap just to sign our Draft Picks, be able to pay the Practice Squad, go from the Top-51 Cap situation to 53, and have spending money for the season. Dalton Kincaid's Cap Hit this year is 3.6m. Kyle Pitts' Cap hit this year on the 5th Year Option is 10.9. So we'd have to come up with another 7.3m on top of what we already have to do. And we'd only have him under contract for this season, as oppoed to Kincaid's 2 to 3 years (if he were to have a good year, we could pick up his 5th year option). I wouldn't hate the idea - but I just don't see it.
  20. I wonder if she will continue to bill herself as Hailee Steinfeld in movies or if she'll now be billed as Hailee Steinfeld-Allen?
  21. I shouldn't be surprised given the kind of celebrities they are. But kind of gross that TMZ got paparazzi with long angle lenses literally from the bushes to sneak photos of their special day, clearly without their permission.
  22. All time it's easily Stevie Nicks for me. As far as recent/modern acts go, it's Hayley Williams.
  23. Can you name a player that was on the roster the year before that they cut after 6/1 and before Training Camp? I can't. Meanwhile we've done many restructures around that time and past that point. I also mentioned extensions. They may be working on extensions for guys like Connor McGovern, David Edwards, or maybe even James Cook. Extensions take two parties and isn't something that happens quickly. They may be thinking they can do one or more of them and won't have to do any restructures. Or are waiting to see what they can or can't get done before they determine how much they want to restructure on the available levers they haven't pulled yet. But I'll play along with your idea. Who do you see as a Possible cut? Bc outside of what we already did with Von Miller, Kaiir Elam (Trade), and Sam Martin - I'm not seeing anyone on the roster that makes sense. The three names I see all the time though are: - Curtis Samuel: Cutting him would cost us 8.6m in Dead Money and would save us just $430,000. Even if he did save us money, our WR core is considered pretty lacking even with him. Letting him go would leave us in a really rough position. - AJ Epenesa: Cutting him would save us 6.2m and cost us 1.3m in Dead Money. The problem there is that we don't get Hoecht until Week 8, Joey Bosa is injury prone, and has already gotten injured before we've even arrived at Training Camp. We always carry 5 DE's. If the season started tomorrow and we had moved on from Epenesa, we'd have Groot, Jackson, and Solomon... and that's it. We have no idea what Jackson will be in the NFL (Solomon's a relative unknown as well) and knowing McDermott, I don't see him starting a Round 3 Rookie right out of the gate. Let alone before we've even seen him in Training Camp. Which even if Bosa is healthy, he'd essentially have to be - as I don't think they're going to use Bosa for 50% or more of snaps. - Daquan Jones: Cutting him would cost us 3.9m in Dead Money and save us 5.5m on the Cap. But it's sort of the same thing with him as Epenesa. We always carry at least 5 DT's. We don't get Ogunjobi until Week 8. Moving on from him would leave us with Oliver, Sanders, Walker, and Carter and that's it. And a complete mess at 1T. He's pretty much our only True 1T. It would leave us with TJ Sanders (a True 3T who has been said will play at 3T, that we may or may not slide next to Oliver only on obvious passing downs), Deone Walker (we'll probably put him at 1T bc of his size, but plays more like a big bodied 3T and is still trying to get to 100% after a bad back), and Dewayne Carter (in my eyes and the eyes of many, he's a True 3T. He didn't play 1T in College and doesn't really fit there. Beane says he'll be tried at both positions this offseason, but I'm not seeing it). I don't think I have to say Samuel will not be cut. When it comes to AJE and Jones, I don't think you can move on from either until after Week 6 when Hoecht and Ogunjobi return. Moving on from either would leave us shorthanded as is and in a *really* rough spot if there's any injuries before Week 8 (which is likely). The absolute earliest you could consider either is after Training Camp (I wouldn't even do it then), when you've evaluated guys like Jackson, Solomon, Sanders, Walker, and Carter in the DE and 1T spots. And that does nothing to clear cap now and get Hairston, Sanders, and Walker under contract. And if they felt good about the DE and DT positions post Draft without them, they'd have been moved on from in the giant list of players league wide that were cut for Rookies in Late April and Early May.
  24. Why would Dion, Knox, and Kincaid be the only players? And what makes you think he and Kincaid are that tight that he would be one of only 3 invited players? I'd envision Shakir is getting an invite before Kincaid. ... not that i've given much thought to Josh and Hailee's wedding.
  25. If I f-cked up my career as badly as Diggs has, i'd probably start doing drugs too.
