Elevate The Scottish Hammer for the Playoffs - Haack is a Hack. -
Yeah, I definitely see us letting that many players walk and not replace them just so we can get mid round picks we won't be able to use until after the following season 🙄
-
Vegetable jokes aside, who's "kale"? I haven't heard of a Kale on the squad and there's no one listed on the Bills site by that name. Or are you just randomly proclaiming your love for the food?

I think at this point, McKenzie isn't not returning kickoffs because they think Stevenson is better. Now I think it's a matter of them seeing more importance in him as a WR and not wanting to risk an injury returning kicks heading into the Playoffs.

Brandon Beane mid round picks looking great
BillsFanForever19 replied to Ben's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been pleased with Tre'Davious White, Josh Allen, Dion Dawkins, Ed Oliver, and Greg Rousseau. No one bats a thousand and the hits outweigh the misses. Especially when you take into account the mid round success. -
Why? Because he's getting old, beat up, and has been largely ineffective this season. Not to mention his being fined 6 digits for habitually not following league rules (which could have contributed to other issues with this team) and continues to be a giant distraction, going out of his way to publicly feed the media fodder. When we needed him the most, his "personal choice" made him unavailable to us. But, MOST importantly, as opposed to this season where it would cost us more to cut him than keep him, we would save $6.1 million dollars in cap space by releasing him next season. When you need a lot of help at other positions and guys need to be cut to make cap space - he seems a no brainer. Especially when you're getting the production we're getting out of Diggs and Davis and Sanders and McKenzie are both free agents. Of which, you can pay both (or their replacements) less than that $6.1 million and have more left over for other positions that are less stacked. Would you rather have Cole Beasley or McKenzie and Sanders plus more? Again, no brainer.

This will forever be known as "The Isaiah McKenzie Game"

Bills sign punter Jamie Gillan to PS

The Scottish Hammer! -
There's gotta be a better way to get that point across than by saying if it were up to him, he'd play while sick, full well knowing he was infecting others

Is it worth seeing if Antonio Williams should get a shot?
BillsFanForever19 replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely. Do I see them doing it? No. Something about the process involves McDermott not playing with the lineup regardless of how bad they're playing. Especially when it comes to Devin Singletary. Past couple weeks I've been watching Devonta Freeman and he looks light years ahead of Singletary. Makes me wonder what would have happened if we would have used him in the Playoffs last year. Maybe we'd still have him instead of him tearing it up for Baltimore right now. -
Stop trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Even if the coaching were better, we do not have the personnel on the Line or in the Backfield to be anything more than middle of the pack. Jeremy White put out a tweet today that I agree with: Put Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, and Davis out there with Knox and cut them loose out of the Shotgun. Mix in the occasional tailback run and Josh scramble here and there. Stop trying to force the running game. We didn't have one last year either. Don't reinvent the wheel.

Beane needs to spend serious resources on the OL
BillsFanForever19 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
And Running Back. And another Tight End. And a Linebacker. And Interior D-Line. He's got a lot of work to do with not a lot of cap space, not to mention a number of players we'll need to replace at other positions. Beane really screwed the pooch not making improvements this past offseason. -
Agreed. Agreed but that doesn't mean he's good either. Just the lesser of three evils.

Stop pretending these are good RB's and it's all on the Offensive Line. If you're going to be small like Singletary, you need to be fast, strong, or shifty. He's not fast, not strong, and has average at best shiftiness and vision. Moss has power... and nothing else. We treat Singletary busting out one 17 yard run a game like other people treat 100+ yards and two TDs. We rushed the ball 19 times for 60 yards. Remove the one 17 yard scamper at the end of the game and it was 18 for 43. And it's not like last night was a mirage. Consistently over two seasons when we need the RB's to step up, they can't. Rhamondre Stevenson - forced NINE missed tackles on 24 carries. Bills RB's - forced ONE missed tackle on 19 carries. Could the run blocking be better? Sure. But if these were good Running Backs, they'd still be making more plays on their own then they are. We have bad blocking AND bad running backs. One doesn't completely negate the other. A Running Back that can make defenders miss or break tackles makes a Line look better just as opening up holes makes a Running Back look better. We have neither.
-
We can't run the ball with our RB's. We haven't been able to for two seasons now. Moss and Singletary are not the answer. One has to be traded or released and one needs to be a change of pace guy. We need to try and get a difference maker in the Draft or FA this season. I don't want to hear again this offseason that they can take a step or "if the blocking is better". Singletary has average shiftiness, below average speed, below average power. Moss has below average shiftiness, below average speed, and decent power. When we need them to carry a game like today, they consistently can't. We celebrate a 17 yard run once a game like it's a home run TD or a 100 yard game. Meanwhile, every RB we play outclasses them. Week in and week out. This core just is nothing special. 19 rushes, 60 yards from our RB's on the day.

Tampa considering releasing Antonio Brown
BillsFanForever19 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, being released may be the least of his worries. Getting caught using a fake Vaccination Card is a felony and he could face jail time over it. -
Ford? Yes. Ike? This season he's been better or at worst on par with Feliciano, imo. And that's not saying Boettger's been great, just to say Feliciano has been dreadful. Dawkins/Boettger/Morse/Williams/Brown is the ideal lineup. Moving Williams back inside and having Brown back outside will make all the difference. Feliciano and Boettger is apples to apples.

Dion Dawkins mentioned Star discussing battling breathing issues with him while he was away from the team. Quite possible, if not likely, that he's still dealing with after effects even though he's no longer contagious and able to return. I agree, I'm starting to think he may not be ready to go and if he does - he won't be 100%
