  1. I don't know why he didn't just say "I'm not the General Manager of this team". Seems like an easy out. I'd just say: "He and I discuss a lot of scenarios. The likely and the very unlikely alike. And I'd like to think he bases some of his decisions off these discussions. But they're always hypothetical, until they're not. When he makes a move, he'll talk to me a little just before it goes down to make sure we're on the same page. But I'm not the General Manager of this team. I'm not looking over his shoulder all day, asking for updates on everything he's doing and looking into. I'm focusing on coaching the players I have and the day to day that goes with that."
  2. He's their speedster deep threat option and he's been doing good for them in that role. Guy thinks at 34 years old, midseason, he's going to be traded somewhere and be their #1 option? And why would you want to be moved off one of the best teams in the league? Dude's delusional.
  3. That leaves us with just Tommy Sweeney for the time being. Hope he steps up. Wonder who comes up from the Practice Squad? Is it Quintin Morris or Kahale Warring? Warring is intriguing. He was taken the same year and same round as Dawson, but drafted higher. With us bringing him on our Squad post Training Camp - he was obviously someone Beane liked coming out. Wonder if he would have been taken instead of Dawson Knox if he were still on the board?
  4. Yeah man, that's all a Defensive End does. Hand in the dirt and push forward. There's no symmetry with the DT's at all. No shifting inside or out. No scheming routes on run plays or Tight Ends. What's the point of playbooks, game plans, and Defensive coordinators? I mean, why even have practice or Training Camp for that position? 🙄 This is like saying Offensive Lineman just line up and block. You're completely oversimplifying and almost insulting what DE's and coaches do with that post.
  5. We already have 6 DE's. We're not bringing in a 7th that would have to get familiarized with the scheme and playbook midseason. And even if we were inclined to do it - why would he sign on to be part of a 7 man rotation when he'd surely get more playing time almost anywhere else?
  6. For the love of God, it's Star Lotulelei pronounced Iike Low-too-la-lay. Not Low-too-la-lay-lay. I know it's not easy to pronounce but these announcers are constantly adding letters that just aren't there.
  7. How are the Bucs not on this list?
  8. Tonight was his Magnum Opus.
  9. The funny thing is time and again people choose the Chiefs to "get a ring" and time and again the Chiefs sign these guys... and do absolutely nothing with them. Can't wait until Josh Gordon complains next offseason like LeVeon Bell.
  10. Has he? Outside of the one TD run which was his designed run coinciding with a GIANT hole - I've been continually unimpressed. His rookie season he was shifty as all get out. Ever since then, he hasn't been. And he can't break tackles and doesn't push forward after contact. All I've been seeing is him getting hit and going down if there's anyone around him. Zack Moss has been head and shoulders the better RB these past two games.
  11. He was the last of our 8 draft picks, our 3rd Offensive Lineman taken, and selected in the 7th Round in the last 25 picks of the Draft. He didn't flash in Training Camp. Anyone who thought his spot on this squad was anywhere but the Practice Squad is kidding themselves. Cracks me up seeing people say they thought he was going to be a stud or that him getting poached doesn't surprise them at all. What makes you say this beyond him looking like Richie Ingconito's clone? I didn't realize we had so many people watching Texas Tech's Interior O-Line so intently 😆 The guy could end up being a decent off the bench contributor for Phili. But there's a reason they had a spot for him on their 53 and we didn't. Our roster is solid and there's is, well, Phili. And stop with the Wyatt Teller talk. Just because he's a late round pick we let walk out of the facility doesn't make him Wyatt Teller. For every Wyatt Teller, there's a million nameless late round players that switched teams and flamed out. Is it possible? Yes. But Wyatt Teller is the exception, not the rule.
  12. Taiwan Jones! And y'all keep wanting him off the team 😂
  13. Because when I think of problems on this team, I think lack of quality WR's 🤦
  14. Lol at you saying I won't be getting the vaccine and that you'll be at the Dolphins game. Hate to break it to ya pal, you won't be in the stadium.
  15. No, you really don't. It's completely cut and dry. There's no margin for loopholes of any kind. Just two options. You can not like it. But it doesn't change a thing. You sound like a petulant child who's never been told 'no' before. You're not above the rules. You're not a special snowflake. Two options, do what's asked. Or don't. That's your choice. But then you don't get the privileges that come with doing what's asked. And again, it's a PRIVILEGE. Not a RIGHT.
  16. I don't care who or what you believe in. It's not an exemption. Going to a football game or any event is not a religious right. It is not a constitutional right. It's a privilege granted or veto'd at the discretion of the owners of the business. You can choose to abide by what's asked of you and attend or refuse to do what's required and not attend. Those are the only options. So tired of all you people who think rules don't apply to you.
  17. Guess you'll be catching the game at a bar or something because you're just going to be turned away at the gate.
  18. Then we have a problem. Because I could have easily seen McDermott switching back to Moss if neither contributed on Special Teams. But if McDermott considers Brieda essential on Special Teams as a replacement for guys we lost there like Daryl Johnson, Dean Marlowe, and Andre Roberts then I don't see him making the switch back and foresee Moss taking the Yeldon role full time barring injury.
  19. I said it all offseason - Pittsburgh in Week 1 was a scary matchup. The wheels fall off for them and Ben about halfway through the season consistently the past few years. But the first half of the season (especially the first few games) they're generally a monster. We couldn't make mistakes or be poorly coached if we expected to win and we did both. Thankfully, it's just one game. If we don't pick up the next two games then it's time to panic.
  20. The one he lost was a blind side sack strip. It happens to everyone. Mario did it to Ben in the same game. Not a whole lot you can do when a guy you don't see coming smacks the ball while you're holding it in one hand trying to get a pass off.
  21. Breida didn't start over Moss for his Special Teams. I'm guessing McDermott wanted to try some speed in the backfield. But speed does little good at RB without shiftiness or the ability to break tackles. As for Jones, he was the lead blocker on McKenzie's 75 yard return and played gunner. Our deficiencies on Special Teams wasn't in that department. Like it or not, McDermott from Day One has always had a RB dressed for Special Teams. He doesn't believe in using 3 people toting the rock at the same time. This week he went with Singletary and Breida. Hopefully in the future he'll choose Moss instead.
  22. Taiwan Jones was his lead blocker. Just saying.
  23. Nick Wright disliking Josh Allen and the Bills by proxy is a gimmick. He knows everytime he does it, he'll get a bunch of views, Twitter responses, and exposure from PO'ed Bills fans. Don't play the game.
  24. We didn't have John Brown most of last season. And when we did, we still didn't have his speed because he was never 100% for us. So don't look at it like John Brown v. Emmanuel Sanders. Look at it as last year's WR core + Emmanuel Sanders.
  25. He had multiple offers and chose the Jaguars? Were all the other options Practice Squad spots? 😆
