  1. Totally agree JSP.
  2. Missed the stupid CSI ? and the immigration %. Shotgun? If a herd of illegals came thru my backyard, I want the gun Jesse Ventura used in Predator.
  3. Again, it depends on context, which is my whole point. Lets say one of our elected "leaders" referred seriously to Mexicans as wetbacks and breeders and advocated citizens taking a shotgun to Arizona. That would be a problem. But a nonsense computer game that gives you a laugh mid-day is a completely different context, and should (IMHO) be treated as such.
  4. Can you? Isn't that what this game is doing??? Taking a stereotype and making it absurdly funny, while actually being an office cubicle time-waster.....Surely you don't think the game is actually advocating all of us to go take shotguns to Arizona, do you?
  5. Lighten up Francis. You ever told a Polish joke or laughed at a blonde joke? Stereotypes are there for a reason...usually there's a lot of truth to them. Every group has them. They can be funny if you accept them for what they are, a way to laugh at yourself.
  6. Hence, signing Grady Jackson could be a big help. Why do you say that Schobel & Denney are better suited to zone blitz than cover 2? I ask because I didn't know there was much of a difference with respect to DE in the two schemes.
  7. I'm still worried about DT. OK, we have Triplett and McCargo manning the "three technique" DT slot, possibly playing both on 3rd and long. At the other (nose position), we have Tim Anderson and.... Sape? Williams? Sorry, I don't have a lot of confidence there. I know he's old, but I'd love to see Grady signed. He plays only on 1st and 2nd down. He will clog up two blockers, allowing another guy to run free and make the tackle. He can still hold the point of attack. I just have visions of our new "penetrating" DTs playing like Sam Adams and constantly overrunning the play and missing the tackle.
  8. Dare we say it...a return of the counter to the Bills playbook??? Gee Thurman only gained, what, 7,000 yards rushing on that play. Maybe we should have left that one in there...
  9. I thought this was a retatta thread.
  10. That was funny. Our line is gawd awful and has been for several years. The second video is even worse. Three guys bunched near the line, all run forward looking for someone to block, Vashar runs past them and blows up Willis. The 3 guys were Gandy, Evans and someone else. Just awful.
  11. I like the upgrades at the C and LG positions. I'm just very concerned about LT.
  12. As long as his cellmate is either Jeffrey Dahmer or a 400 lb jacked up triple murderer who is lonely and needs a friend.
  13. Thanks Dan. I'm having an argument with a friend of mine about this. I appreciate it.
  14. I seem to recall a few years ago a Rochester professor proved used camera angles that the the illegal forward pass in Tennessee was actually an illegal forward pass. Does anyone have a link for the article, I think it was in D & C. Thanks.
  15. Donahoe blew that one, he thought Mularkey provided more value!!
  16. Thats an excellent, albeit overlooked, point. However, judging from their performance after leaving the Bills, and presumably going somewhere that their respective skills were a better fit, the 2000 draft class would be marginal at best.
  17. JD is my favorite golfer. A nice guy who I was fortunate to get to know a little bit. He's not asking anyone to feel sorry for him. The man has an addictive personality and he is trying to overcome it. He is, however, a real nice and genuine guy.
  18. Our forecast is for rain tomorrow.
  19. Now, where is Monica when you need her?
  20. Nice signing for WM's backup. Its a 1 year deal. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?...n_john#20060428 Oooops, sorry didn't see the other thread. You can delete this one.
  21. Currently, I counsel & sometimes prosecute brokerage firms on behalf of an SRO. Been doing it for 6 years and have built a pretty good reputation. I have been asked to join up with an individual as he is starting his own practice doing this, but declined, basically, because of the individual. However, it got me thinking. If I needed a F-T office, there are buildings that will rent you an office and provide the infrastructure (such as conference space, receptionist, computer connections etc.) The idea is several small businesses pool resources. So you could be next to an accountant or an architect. Suprisingly, the rates are not too bad, considering the Wall St location in NYC. The expenses that I would incure for dinners, conferences, SIA membership, Yankee tix etc., I would be able to write off, which is a nice perk. It really is just an idea right now, but one that I may pursue in the future.
  22. Thanks a lot dave and LA. You have given me a lot of ideas and suggestions. The date is pretty far out (at least a year) before I can realistically do it, but it is possible.
  23. I'm a lawyer, so it would be a law firm, advising brokerage firms. The work would be good, with low overhead. I'd be meeting folks at their offices etc. The real question I have is can I survive before the cash starts coming in. I don't have 12 months of expenses in the bank. Perhaps this isn't the right time.
  24. LA- How much of a "war chest" did you have to start out? Before the $$ started coming in, how were you able to afford the basic monthly bills (mortgage etc.)? Thats the thing that always keeps me from doing something. I would love to do it, but need that check every two weeks.
  25. Gotta agree 100%. Shania is the hottest thing out there right now, bar none. IMHO, of course!
