Thats an excellent, albeit overlooked, point. However, judging from their performance after leaving the Bills, and presumably going somewhere that their respective skills were a better fit, the 2000 draft class would be marginal at best.

JD is my favorite golfer. A nice guy who I was fortunate to get to know a little bit. He's not asking anyone to feel sorry for him. The man has an addictive personality and he is trying to overcome it. He is, however, a real nice and genuine guy.

Currently, I counsel & sometimes prosecute brokerage firms on behalf of an SRO. Been doing it for 6 years and have built a pretty good reputation. I have been asked to join up with an individual as he is starting his own practice doing this, but declined, basically, because of the individual. However, it got me thinking. If I needed a F-T office, there are buildings that will rent you an office and provide the infrastructure (such as conference space, receptionist, computer connections etc.) The idea is several small businesses pool resources. So you could be next to an accountant or an architect. Suprisingly, the rates are not too bad, considering the Wall St location in NYC. The expenses that I would incure for dinners, conferences, SIA membership, Yankee tix etc., I would be able to write off, which is a nice perk. It really is just an idea right now, but one that I may pursue in the future.

Thanks a lot dave and LA. You have given me a lot of ideas and suggestions. The date is pretty far out (at least a year) before I can realistically do it, but it is possible.

I'm a lawyer, so it would be a law firm, advising brokerage firms. The work would be good, with low overhead. I'd be meeting folks at their offices etc. The real question I have is can I survive before the cash starts coming in. I don't have 12 months of expenses in the bank. Perhaps this isn't the right time.

LA- How much of a "war chest" did you have to start out? Before the $$ started coming in, how were you able to afford the basic monthly bills (mortgage etc.)? Thats the thing that always keeps me from doing something. I would love to do it, but need that check every two weeks.

Thing is, any elected official from WNY or NYS who wouldn't fight this, would lose the WNY vote on that single issue alone. If Goodell gets Tags' job, there is no way on God's green earth that a local WNYer will allow the Bills to move. He knows implicitly how much the team means to the area.

Tags says the Bills are staying in Buffalo, Ralph will be on the committee that detrmines how revenue is shared, Schumer, Russert, Pataki etc. will all fight for the Bills to stay and a guy from Jamestown is the leading contender to be the next NFL commish. I think things are pretty rosy in the Bills world right now.

Make sure you are very specific with respect to your kids. My wife and I had one drawn up; I am an attorney, tho not in wills, and went to someone who does this for a living. Ours read specifically that my folks are in charge of our son's money (in trust), her folks have custody. We specified vacations to see my folks (in Buffalo), type of school we wanted our son to go to (private, Catholic etc.), specific years that he would get disbursements etc. It may seem ridiculous, but try to think of every possibility. Remember, this is the place to put down all of your wishes and desires as to how your kids are raised in very detailed specifics.

Generally, it takes a full year for a woman to regain her original body after having a baby. Thats with diet, exercise etc., but not going ridiculous (ie Heidi Klum). Give her time, she'll get it back. She stand to lose too much money if she doesn't.
