  1. This is great...a Flyer fan reaction...
  2. Here's the deal... I've been calling around looking to buy a cord of firewood for the winter. About the cheapest I've found is 250 bucks for mixed hardwood (oak, maple, only some cherry). For an all-fruitwood cord, its 450 bucks. This is a lot of cash. If you want to make some cash, with the downed trees and all, here's the plan.... My sources in WNY indicate that people are just putting signs on their lawns, "Free Wood", come take it away. We rent an 18 wheeler (with a driver), load it full of wood and bring down to NYC. I'll handle storage and distribution down here. We sell it for 150 - 200 a cord, split the profits. Not a bad call right???
  3. Really, I'd say Brady. He make their entire offense go. Without him, forget it. Last year, make sure you take into account their schedule. They started vs. Raiders, @Car, @ Pitt, vs. SD, @Atl, @Den. They went 3-3 through that slate. 7-3 through the rest of the season. Seymour played 12 games last year. Their D had problems stopping folks, but Brady put up MVP-type numbers. They are both terrific players, I just think Brady makes that whole team tick.
  4. No doubt Seymour is a great player, maybe top 5 defensive players in the league. But Brady is in a class by himself. Would you like our chances to win more if NE was minus Seymour or Brady?
  5. uh,oh!!! http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=25951
  6. In college we all used to get together in the student lounge to watch "Brenda" (Vanessa Marcil) on General Hospital. Man was she smokin'
  7. Brady....overrated? Please. Say what you will, but he's the best player in football. By far.
  8. At least we made the playoffs with him.
  9. God I hate Donahoe. Please lets rebuild the lineS.
  10. And the whiffffff.
  11. Also, I think that Marv took a look at the O and said, yep, we have decent skill position guys. Let them gel together and we'll work on the D. Also, the opportunities to "fix" the OL this offseason were pretty limited to signing FAs (Hutch, Bentley). There was no LT prospect, nor was there a decent one for us to draft given our position (if we lost @Cinci in 05, we'd have had D'Brick. Thanks Mularkey). I see a big push for the OL this offseason. I'm also hoping the DL gets some attention.
  12. So, we could take that money, sign Steinbach and draft Joe Thomas (I only wish). Plus we could pick up a top DT. Nice.
  13. Calls out Gandy/Reyes and Crowell http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/Featu...rocki101606.htm
  14. Re-signing both Drury and Briere, at the expense of anyone save Miller, is paramount for this franchise. The cap will rise, Biron is off the books, we have to make it happen. 5 mil per makes it happen.
  15. From the Sporting News... http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_sports/football/...ove&hubName=STL
  16. This guy could be something. He was a starting DE, worked with Kollar. The Rams got pissed at him for missing time for a personal off-the-field situation. He is 23. This may not be just a throw in type guy.
  17. Fine by me!! THen please, for the love of all that is holy, draft a LT in the 1st.
  18. Even the national folks are noticing... http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news;_ylt=AlGA...cnnsi&type=lgns FU Quinn!! Edit - BTW I just remembered, vs. the Rangers is the first time we get to wear our REAL jerseys.
  19. If Moss goes anywhere (and I doubt it), he'll be in Baltimore.
  20. Hey Scott, I love it and just ordered one. If you make a "Buffalo Fighting Banana Slugs Hockey Club" T-Shirt, let me know because I'll order it.
  21. I think thats exactly the plan. I just hope it works.
  22. Yep. The Nate detractors are expecting Deion Sanders in his prime. Nate's not that good, nor will he ever be. But, he is a damn fine corner. The cushion is part of the scheme, Cover 2. From what I understand, it is predicated on not allowing the big play, having a swarming, speedy D to limit YAC. Now, I do think, with our corners, we could play it a bit tighter.
  23. Mike- I think you just nervous, and I am too, that we won't be able to become a good run stuffing team without a Pat Williams/Ted Washington type. When we had great D's in 98/99 and 03/04 we had those guys. I'm willing to give this new system a chance. They won't learn it overnight. It will take some time. Hopefully, they have it down for next year.
  24. I'm a huge Bond movie fan. From Russia with Love is my all-time fav. They were great movies but not really a trilogy.
