On the second play, I couldn't believe McGahee missed the pickup. Until yesterday, I had never seen JP air it out. I also had never seen him run with the guts he showed on the TD run. He's gonna be good. Real good. Its just gonna take a bit of time. The one thing you can't rush is experience. Next week, I hope to see JP get rid of the ball quicker...or at least feel the blind side pressure a bit more.
Realize that with the exception of Spikes, Fletcher, Peerless and a few OL, all of our starters and the guys we count on are under 26 years old. Give them time. Chart their progress. Get angry when they make the same mistakes, but realize that how we respond to mistakes and adversity is what will ultimately forge the identity of this team and era of Bills football. The previous years' teams would fall apart. The SB era team would persevere. Lets see what we are made of.
This years team is exciting. They are very young. Yesterday, they fought back and made it close. After hearing JP's press conference and reading the papers, there was no finger pointing. Willis was accountable for his missed block. JP was accountable for his fumbles and INTs. This is a good thing. A young team learning what they have to do to win the NFL. Give them time. And root like hell.
