Perhaps he is having a crisis of faith. He got his brain scrambled - sometimes players think about their future, their wife, future children etc., and come to the conclusion that that first contract money is a nice start for a young family. Better than a future that might include a permanently addled mind. If he chooses to leave the pro game, that's his choice. And a choice above criticism.

I read somewhere on TBD, that Goodell attended the game and was dismayed at fan deportment. I can't say it was so - 2nd hand reports. Maybe the gate crunch described on another thread here?...dunno. -

These things are so prevalent. In recent months, I've see gems like - Obese people found to exercise less. - After heart attacks, patient's relatives found to improve their own personal diets. - Black preferences for fat-laden foods may cause their higher rates of coronary/circulatory diseases. This was a study in Britain, where they couldn't blame poverty and said so, since everybody in England has equal access to their (lousy) national health care system regardless of economic situation. I'm betting that that group won't ever get another farthing of grant money for that PC faux pas. - Women more susceptible to genital yeast infections than men. - Children living in a home without a father more prone to poor grades, poor deportment, and violent behavior. Grant money...I spent a couple of years working in the public sector - a university's civil engineering department. That dept. encompassed environmental engineering. A member got your tax dollars to investigate the volatility of lead when subjected to heat. I pointed out to him, the volatility of lead across temperature in the literature - established something like 80 years ago. He cursed me! I think a lot of these are because grad departments have to cook up thesis subjects to keep the cash crop enrolling and let it be shown that their department is vital. -

Listen up: I said there are plenty of experienced eyes on Edwards. I don't think those eyes are malevolent. I'm aware about this post-concussion syndrome that folks have raised. And I cautioned against unfounded inference. About speculating about a person's mental state, about how intimation can balloon into character assassination. Somebody reads this site, this thread. Somebody else starts spreading words that Edwards is a mental case, and that crap grows, grows, gets picked up here and there until it shows up in the chuntering national press as assumed truth. -
What a talented team that KC squad was...Coach Stram, Robinson, Bell, Buchanon, Taylor, Garrett, Thomas, Tyrer, Mays, Dawson, Arbanas etc.
