  1. That's the lubricated parts powertrain warranty only. It is NOT "Bumper-to Bumper". And to keep it valid and "claim-able", plan on spending 4K+ with iron-clad documentation that the service through the years was performed by competent repair facilities. Investigate Hyundai service check-up costs. 30K is about 400 bucks. You will pay more than that at 60K as you are scheduled for a timing belt/water pump change per the service manual requirements.
  2. Please don't post unseemly, prurient implications or innuendo about me. I posted the reference as a topical item. Note the lack of tongue-out emoticons, the lack of hottie! verbage.
  3. My Mother developed serious breathing difficulties in the last two years of her life. The poor thing couldn't walk 100 feet without having to pause for gasping breath, especially so in cold weather. Old school - wouldn't take an oxygen bottle when she left the house, didn't want to be viewed as a cripple. Her mind remained intact until the day she passed on. Which I am very happy for. We finally cajoled her into getting a handicap permit for her vehicle. She resisted chiefly because she insisted that others have it worse than her. I've no doubt that some thought bad of this thin woman getting out of her car. Cursed her for having robbed them somehow, of having to walk more steps from where they parked.

  5. A previous poster put forth a case for the WR, T.J. Houshmanzedeh. I've no idea what he will command - but I see him on tv every game, and he hasn't lost a step. Still a canny, deceptive receiver that gets open comes back into a play to help a QB in trouble. One caution - he's had a chronic ankle problem for several years, but it's only kept him out a few games over several years. And is 31 years old - but leads the NFL in catches, leads in catches for a 1st down, leads in 3rd down conversion catches on a club decimated by injuries. BTW, CIN added 2 more to the IR list - 15 now (18 counting three players waived off it)...five starters on IR, 5 on-roster starters likely out for their tilt against BAL. I wouldn't look for CIN to knock off the Bills' wild card competitor BAL. BAL has problems, too - they also have 15 on IR. I shake my head when posters complain about how injured the Bills are...
  6. Thanks! It's tough to keep up with a world in love with abbreviations and acronyms.
  7. Good 'ole Jim. On a site with numerous folks worrying about their economic future, folks with ill children, young people hoping that the debt incurred for education gets them decent employment, we can always count on you to brag, and rub your money into their faces and wipe your feet off on their troubles.
  8. I pass my board cynic crown over to a new owner...
  9. SBB? I know about SSB - single sideband radio. What's SBB, rock?
  10. Could be that they have circulatory, or breathing problems. One just has to trust that a handicap parking permit has been justly issued and being used by that person. You might recall a thread of mine a while back, where I turned in a vehicle parking in a spot sans permit to a passing police car. The officer was issuing the citation as I exited the store.
  11. Mario Batali in one of his "Molto Mario" episodes put it nicely: "The only reason to eat out is if you don't want to wash the dishes afterwords". Saturday breakfast last: Mr. and Mrs. stuckincincy have eggs and sausage, home fries, toast, coffee at restaurant. $13.50 plus $2.25 tip. Sunday dinner last: Shared 12 oz. choice grade rib eye steak purchased @5.99/lb, baked sweet and Idaho potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, frozen green beans, Jiffy mix powder biscuits. Less than $10. Plus 10 cents worth of Cascade dish wash detergent.
  12. Well - this is a new happenstance. The NFL would have to be stupid beyond belief to not issue an exception to their blackout rule if the Toronto game doesn't sell out. They're not about to go and anger WNY residents, nor football fans across the Niagara Peninsula, nor local tv stations. This game is unique...I wouldn't be surprised if it is picked up by many local stations across the nation - especially those without NFL teams of their own. It should be a good draw...perhaps only because of novelty value - and increased viewership of course translates into station revenue.
  13. I don't think there is a chance of the game being blacked out in Bflo. The "international" games have been carried by NFL Network, but I'm confident that a local channel in those clubs' home towns broadcast the game. If by some chance the Toronto game was blacked out in WNY, the hue and cry would be deafening...
  14. Happy belated B'Day, folks!
  15. When you go to the movies, do you sit in the back so as to not block the view of other patrons? If you do, I am on your side.
  16. Perhaps. My thought is that the supermarkets feel that with a tight economy and with restaurants bemoaning a drop in their business, that expanding their ready-to-eat offerings is a profit maker. I'm well aware that marts to varying degrees have offered such for a long time.
  17. Is week 12 historically highest for obscure thread titles?
  18. And an angry Chiefs player could have cut Edward's knee in half. Via cheap shot. 15 yards. 10K fine. When you are up by 30 going into the 4th...
  19. Wisdom says when you are up by a large margin in the 4th, pull your starters out. That's what you do for two reasons: 1. Get game time for the bench. 2. There are individual players on the other team. They are angry - even if their poor play was part of the debacle. If you want to embarrass them further, they can act out of character...taking a shot not normally done. I'm happy that a Bills' player didn't take a whack, suffer a season-ending injury - they've had so few to date compared to most clubs. No time to start. This biz about KC putting 8 up front was KC saying OK game over. Like in a game of chess, they tilted their king. The Bills passing, folks here saying it was KC's fault for offering that 8 defense so let's call passing when the game was done, make no sense - who has ever made up 30 points in the 4th quarter? Keeping most starters in...poor form. This wasn't a big blow-out of a capable competitor - it ended up being a slap in the face of a 1 - 8 club with a last-chance kid at QB. Into the 4th, by the offense. I think the upcoming opposition players have taken note. I'm sure their coaches will hammer it home.
  20. At least their scope was less than any Administration or Congress in memory...
  21. Thanks for the links. Bottom line - that was a heck of a game!
  22. Thanks for your snotty "Welcome", Pooj. Who isn't aware of the dried-out chicken or the suspect deli potato salad that's been there for decades? I was noting the recent increase...
