Try a Kentucky Hot Brown. It's...filling. http://southernfood.about.com/od/kentuckyr.../r/bl10424b.htm

That's fine. But folks go to performances for their artistry, not for a lecture. To go off on a tangent of personal beliefs, with a sitting audience (who these days usually pay a pretty penny for their tickets), strikes me as rude and arrogant. Off-stage, they are more than welcome to vent their spleens... And if that means less gate money for them (or more), that's their lookout.

Try church dinners. My eldest sister contributes to a cookbook her church compiles every couple of years. They sell it and donate the proceeds to this and that charity. Great food at their dinners - the things you seek.

My '98 S-10 shows 19 mpg under the revised numbers. But I'm not getting rid of it, anyway.

Stadiums will shake no more, without the ground moving under his feet.

I remember that chain - there was 1 in Fairfield, OH, and I knew of 2 others more towards Cincy. Very good wings - served with blue cheese and celery, and very decent mild-medium-hot sauce. More on the side if you liked. They also served authentic curly-q fries (from the whole potatoe, skins and all). If you got them to go, they would put them in a double-thick paper sack, which would absorb the excess oil. You are right about the belly-up dates here. The Fairfield one closed about 15 years ago. The other 2 I knew of, perhaps 10 years ago.

Rumor...Favre signs with the Vikings
stuckincincy replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ugh. For years and years, GB and Favre meant 10+ tv games were shoved onto the tv schedule - only DAL was worse. If he signs with MIN - deja vu all over again. -

I certainly do. As well as I understand that you desire that there be a ready supply of other people, not quite as worthwhile or human as you and yours, of course, that should be available on demand to copulate for payment of a fee. You know, you could easily buy one of the straw men (women) you like to posit... -
Michael Johnson very impressive

Byrd was a surprise. Brown was picked at 11 in rnd 2, Barwin at 14. Barwin sure went up the draft charts after his combine performance - also a fair TE, fine ST'er, and evidently wasn't a bad long snapper. That's a few possible roster spots rolled up in one player... -

How about if those other people - the legal prostitutes, not members of your family, soliciting sex for sale, stand around your street? Do you give approval of that? Members of your family don't need your brand of Motherment. Why would you advise them either way? -

Gee - a full, multi-faceted page poll. Can't understand why people passed up the opportunity to dance attendance... -

I don't think they are "reporting" anything like you imply. Other that the usual, early pap that comes out of all 32 teams... Hype: "You can do a lot of things with a guy like him," Zimmer said of Johnson. "You can line him up as a tackle, but he can cover a back out of the backfield and you can blitz somebody and play man-to-man with other guys. There are just so many things you can use with a guy like him. He's shown he can he can do those things." Truth: "Zimmer knows Johnson is going to have to prove that "he can do those things" in pads, and that's why right now Zimmer can't make any judgments on the pass rush off of what his players and are doing in practices where they can only wear helmets for protection." Truth: "I really don't know about the pass rush until we can hit the quarterback. Now if they beat someone, they have to stop," Zimmer said. "When we get the pads on, we have to find linebackers that can beat backs. We'll get on that early in camp. And we haven't been able to play bump-and-run because of the rules, so I feel like we're behind there." http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/big-...7c-492b59783b73 The syrup pours out of every club this time of year - they are all in the business of revving up fans and selling tickets... -

Were it legal, will you approve, encourage members of your family making a career of it? -
I think so, too.

If you have a bunch of jingle in your pocket, getting a cab quickly is easy. You go to a company, drop a thou on the owner, spread cash unto the dispatch folks, and tell them to inform drivers that there will be a guaranteed minimum 50 buck tip. Tell them that they can count on same next year, if the service is well-performed. Send a gift basket of booze and wine bottles and fine cookies and candy to the office come Christmas time. A pizza lunch delivery now and then - call first so they expect it. -

Poor form. I've no doubt that Maybin was on every team's 1st round list. Different needs, potential, "signability", you name the criteria. CIN picked Andre Smith - a dice roll, I'd say. HOF? Hold-out? Self-centered and scheming man-child? Bloated tub of lard? We shall see. Michael Johnson...impressive. Perhaps at the moment, when all the players in the OTAs and camps to date are playing in their pyjamas, if you get the meaning. -
That's an honest opinion, I'd say.

Prostitution is not a victimless crime, as some say. The majority are eventually abused and beaten. Disease goes without saying. Some say about nations that "test" prostitutes. Right... I don't know if an old term,"stockade", is still used. What that meant, was the confinement of a prostitute in an unescapable room. They were then humiliated, beaten, and gang raped - the goal being to break any sense of personal worth, spirit. To turn them into cattle, living in fear that if they dare balk in making money for the pimp, there would be an even more brutal treatment. And there was. Our government even has a publication for prostitutes - wear cotton underwear, don't wear high-heel shoes because you will likely have to flee for your life and so on. Many prostitutes are sad, sad souls, often with severe mental issues, reduced to being warm wet spots in the night waiting to see if tonight is their last. Some - many - are just young kids. Others are canny opportunists, biding time before it closes in. Drug dependency is chronic. And encouraged. -
Trent Edwards=Chad Pennington?

I see very few Bills' games. They are seldom aired here in Cincy, as I suppose CIN games seldom show up on WNY television. Zero in '06. 3 in '07, and zero again in '08. Some posters here implied that when he came back from his concussion last season, he looked gun-shy. Was that a valid observation? -
Top Ten Favorite Albums

Out of the hundreds of thousands, I couldn't pick a top ten to save my soul. The Greatest Hits of Frank Sinatra? Johnny Mathis? The Beatles? Ella Fitzgerald? Sammy Davis, Jr.? Philip Sousa? The Great Mahalia Jackson? Tennessee Ernie Ford? I do like What's Going On? - Marvin Gaye. -
Best All Round Athlete
stuckincincy replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good pick. When his name comes up, there are some here who scoff, I guess just thinking about the DAL - MIN trade. Didn't ESPN or somebody have a "best athlete of all time" thing several years past? IIRC, Secretariat ended up at #2. -
I recently got a mailing from my power company. It said pretty much the same - 15 or so times, during peak grid demands. A couple of points: - There was a check box if there would be someone in the household that had a medical condition that required constant temp control. I assume for liability reasons, if that is checked, they would find a reason to not install. - They offered a $25 credit for signing up, and $35 if you agreed to "a few more minutes" - not specified further. - No shut-down on weekends and holidays. - You can pick *one* day per year to avoid a compressor shut-off...you have to notify them 24 hr. in advance. - They said that "manufacturers test these shut-off devices with their equipment". Which means that the power company does not. This makes me skeptical - seems you would have to get in touch with the manufacturer to see if this is so. Conspiracy Theory: Greenies hack the system and shut off the A/C for lengthy times.
