  1. Use Stram's moving pocket.
  2. I hope he has the cash stashed somewhere... http://www.wcpo.com/content/news/saywhat/s...yv7URpvaGg.cspx
  3. Ah yes - on Bailey. Thanks. How many Your Hosts' were there? I seem to recall their matchbooks saying there were 39. There were a bunch of 'em on Delaware in N.Bflo/Kenmore.
  4. The Library was on Main Street, south (I think) of the Trico plant and Freddie's Doughnuts. I liked Freddie's peanut sticks - but it was decided that peanut allergies were widespread several years later (which didn't explain why something like 90% of grade school kids were eating PBJs in a sack for lunch at the time. If classmates were going into shock, we all would have known it.) The Library was owned by the Turgeon Brothers - they had several eateries at that time; I recall one they had in North Towanada, by the old locks - the Packet Inn.
  5. You missed the...nuance...
  6. Bathe everyday. So you are clean, and will not smell. Eschew deodorant. Exude your natural pheromones. Women will flock. European men are not stupid...
  7. Sure. I can't imagine replacement nfl game broadcasts being more cheesy than they already are.
  8. Sarkozy caught the moment. Well, it wasn't a navy blue dress, and I saw no cigars present...
  9. If it's anything like "Taste of Cincinnati", it's booths getting 4 or 5 bucks for 3 oz. of comestibles.
  10. I use AVG, and occasionally install Avira as an alternative scan check. AVG is certainly slow. I have about 15GB occupied space on a nominal 80Gb drive - it runs for about 1 1/2 hours to check that. It does check more files than Avira, or so it says. Comodo Firewall zapped me with the latest update. It caused my DOS programs to be rendered unusable. I used System Restore (xp) to void the update - although they are now saying that the problem has been fixed. http://forums.comodo.com/firewall_bugs/lat...tml%3Bmsg306917
  11. 2 cents. Whatever one thinks of Macs, I'm happy that they are out there as an alternative to Windows machines.
  12. Stay around the hotel and forget the night life. If you choose to caberet, get into the sack before 9. If not, start the heavy boozing at 3 PM Saturday. Eat the fun stuff, but buy some of those high-fiber bars to mitigate the slop. You don't want to have the sh*t s. Plan on hitting the hay by 9 PM at the latest. Be sure to take 2 aspirin and at least 16 oz. of water when you lay down to say your nightly prayers. Your plan will have you all fighting to embrace the porcelain altar - orally or rectally - the day of the game, and possibly not awakening in the first place.
  13. When I'm at the Pearly Gates, I'll tell St. Pete "Gringo will be along sooner or later. Let 'em in, we wanna play pinochle and sit on a porch where we can watch the sun rise with all the rest of the wags you let in here."
  14. Is "Thumper" still out there? I bet "Minnie-Ha-Ha" has gone by the wayside...
  15. Gringo...why haven't you told me to go eat sh*t and bark at the moon for my peremptory apology demand?
  16. Poor fellow. I struggle to think of an eulogy. Plain or peanut? http://www.wcpo.com/content/news/saywhat/s...YMPK_aPhDw.cspx
  17. Eh. They were 14th overall last season. Sure - stats can be played every way imaginable. Offensive performance, field position (a big thing with the Bills, certainly), competition, defensive philosophy etc. Were they a top crew, changing the outcome of games, contest after contest? Nope - but I can't see a way to call them a bunch of bums, or bad athletes, or slackers.
  18. Brady tends to keep his eyes forward and and hit 3rd down machine Welker as he cuts across to the middle into Bradys' field of vision. Flatten Welker in the 5 yard territory before Brady can launch.
  19. Are you an interested party?
  20. I wouldn't ever say "help out a neighbor?". I would say "Kid want a buck? Sweep my walk ". It could take it or leave it. My posts were an example of how contractors with historical ties to the Federal government act. You seem to personalize it, and your crack of "Sure, Mister...' is disgusting and offensive. I get your implication. Very poor on your part, gringo. Very poor. Apologize.
  21. You replied before I edited and finished my post. :rolleyes Go back and read it. Your trigger response - I must say - augers against Bechtel. What do you know about contracting such a costly endeavor, that makes you say that Bechtel can build a "cheaper" one? Define "cheaper". Do you own a Wii?
  22. Somebody in France. Or Germany. For political reasons we both know, Bechtel hasn't built one here for a long, long time. Their expertise has to be stale...they may well have good designs molding on the shelf, but it's been a long time since they domestically got into the nuts and bolts of construction. Have the subcontractors in a row, waiting for the call. And that matters a lot. Unless you can tell me that they are big players in the European nuke powerplant construction biz, and are booking profits from same. And non-US companies ready to set up shop here.
  23. Bechtel contracts to sweep my walk: 8 month lag time. I travel to corporate headquarters in SF 4 times to discuss the project. They visit me 4 times and take me out for food and drinks. Investigate Federal funding. Investigate State funding. Investigate local funding. Obtain taxpayer funding. Do environmental study. Issue billing the for the above. Cost to me: 22K. Kid in the neighborhood, walking by, contracted to sweep my walk: I supply the broom. Contract completed in 10 minutes. Cost: 1 Dollar.
