  1. You'll be hearing from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Mollusks...soon.
  2. Beerball gets back as FiSD? Cooking opportunity for Chef Jim? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8155417.stm
  3. That's right. Pissy little 9mms. Pfft.
  4. You will have cash, not script. You will be treated well.
  5. They must have read my posts here.
  6. It does have a nice ring. And holds promise for a future term of address. Dr. Douche Ramius = DRR. Dr. Ramius Douche = DRD. I like DRD more than DRR. "DrrrrD" sounds more derogatory than "DrrrrR". DrrrrR seems more of a slur of speech on the speaker's part, whereas DrrrD carries something final about it. What do you think?
  7. I am impressed. Uttering such terms of historic usage will get you in trouble with the American educational establishment, a group dedicated to the implementation of Orwell's "1984" party slogan: "Who controls the past, controls the future..."
  8. Wrong. It was meant for DC Tom. And Dr. Douche is your term, so don't lay that on me. This is a common happenstance. One writes a post, thinks to add or perhaps delete it, so goes into edit mode. Meanwhile someone (GG in this case), "Hot Pockets" the original post, which is undergoing editing by the originator. Myself, I try to let 5 minutes elapse before a response, unless I happen to be in the heat of battle with a foe.
  9. I take my shots, Scott. But never directed at a man's personal sadness - but often and surely directed at general uncivility and I clearly use whatever personally edifying term of condemnation that strikes me at the moment. How's that? P.S. "How's that" is also a cricket term. Look it up. I would have been slaughtered years ago but for the fact that I have a concealed carry permit.
  10. You have a household filled with love. Maybe some resent that. Ignore these pin dick, pinchfart comments that have been posted, wagging tongues and wagging fingers at this time of woe for you and yours. Real friends don't rub things in your face when you are down. False ones relish in telling you "I told you so."
  11. Be a pal, and point out that that was a post I deleted over a matter of 2 minutes, in answer to Ramius...that I thought the better of...
  12. Off topic, but since you mentioned planks, I heard one of the Top Gear show trio refer to actress Keira Knightly as an "ironing board with a face". Apt description, I'd say.
  13. Not me. I'm a confirmed Milwaukee Best Ice sot. $10.99 for 24 cans - 46 cents per 12 oz can, AND 5.9% alcohol.
  14. He needs Beach Boy advice:
  15. You're welcome, John. Through the years, you have shared things with us about the goings-on with your family. Good times, bad times alike. Along the way, I'm certain that your expressions about raising your children have helped many that face similar issues, though some do not care to admit so. I've no doubt that your boy, like your daughter, has a big heart. Not being cold can and often hurts, but there is nothing greater that parents can pass on to their children...your children will be among the ones that love the springtime, that prefer the dawn over the twilight.
  16. I'm so sorry for your lad, John. With hope, he will fully recover.
  17. Charleston's Yeager Airport - slice off mountaintop and pave: S.Charleston's Mallory airport is even more sporting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_8JHD6IQtQ
  18. I have. What's the problem? I don't see any issues - we all blather on here - that's what we like about this site. The fellow hasn't gone out of his way to attack anybody, anyone's beliefs, that I've noticed. Seems an OK poster to me so far...
  19. Ahh...the poster seems a good sort. No reason to be harsh, that I can see... Agree?
  20. I'm all for drafting OLs in the 1st. No need to convince me!
  21. They will be probably be as good as the CIN OL, which also lost 3 vets.
  22. Waterboy. Sandler's best ever, by far...
  23. I think if you join the military, personally dealing with the stress of combat is a given...no?
  24. Cigs are relaxing, after the stress of combat. Mortars shells whizzing overhead. One may land. I guess these folks think that a cig, or second-hand smoke is more dangerous. God help us... And if cigs are so dangerous - ask yourself: Why are they not illegal? Well, tobacco taxation is the 4th largest source of revenue in my State - Ohio. There's a thought... Stop this "cost" garbage...cig smokers die relatively younger, don't cash in their Social Security, etc. If folks stopped smoking, health costs would skyrocket and SS would collapse even earlier, because of the owed folks actually living longer. Which is why - despite all the rhetoric - you will never see tobacco made illegal. And you non-smokers' costs are heavily subsidized by smokers. If you posses brains, offer a smoker a light... If you are an anti-tobacco zealot, go ahead and see how far you go with banning it...I would like you to turn your efforts to trying. You will quickly find that your legislators are not sympathetic.
