  1. um let's see, no salary cap and the Bills....hmmmm...that would kind of suck... now...let me think...a salary cap and the Bills...hmmm...not so bad... assertion confirmed...
  2. Well, I am still glad the vote went through. Maybe I'm being selfish and not thinking of RW maybe making a couple million less next season, but this agreement does keep Buffalo competitive. Now we just need to get the right players!!!
  3. While I do agree with most of you post, I do not think that Ralph realized the consequences of voting no. The union made it perfectly clear that this was the last proposal. The NFL as we know it would be gone. No cap in 2007? No draft in 2008? A lockout in 2008? There was a lot of risk in voting "No" and I am glad the more owners did not follow suit.
  4. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Big market or small market, you still have to be clever enough to manage the cap. If you can't manage the cap, ala the Redskins, you will complain about the small market teams and the cap in general. Deal with it Washington, I look forward to your rookie squad this season...
  5. The offensive weapons would be great, but we still need someone to throw the ball to them consistently. It's easy to strategize when the QB position is shaky at best!
  6. Good call to keep Nate, the Bills just can't afford to lose the little top notch talent they have. And even though it was a down year for Nate, some team would have paid twice as much to sign him. Any one recall if TD used the franchise tag in his regime?
  7. The biggest call of the game was the holding that negated a Seattle pass play to the Steelers 2 yard line. It's the SB, you don't call that crap. Unless it is a blatant hold, but the call was questionable at best. Porter's acting and falling to the ground drew that flag. Let the players decide the outcome, not the zebra's. Instead of first and goal on the 2, it's second and twenty against a blitz happy team which eventually led to an interception. Plus add on 15 for an illegal block, I thought you had to make contact in order to have an illegal block? Which of course led to the nail in the coffin trick play. Seattle would have most likely taken the lead and would have made the game a little more exciting. The other calls could have gone either way, but this was the game deciding call.
  8. I like the hire because the TBD'ers can now all make fun of his name! How can you make fun of Mike Sherman's name? Nothing there, there for good hire for this board. Considering we have lost: Kevin Killdrive Drew Bledslow Mike "full of" Malarky Tom Donablow What would the children of this board post without a name to make light of. Here's looking forward to many Dick jokes this year!!!! Happy happy joy joy joy!!!
  9. Damn they must have scooped him up before the Bills had a chance.
  10. Rumors are that Donnie Henderson is interviewing for the bills DC position today, so I would assume that Gray is gone. Although I have not heard or seen anything official.
  11. I didn't hear any booing to start the game, but I'm sure there were a few that did. I do agree the RWS is not as loud as it used to be, but the more meaningful the game the louder it gets. I try to get the crowd going every game and this year wasn't all that bad. I do hate that we waste all those seats in the end zone for the band. That's a prime time shouting section and when the band leaves at half, they tape off the section. That makes no sense.
  12. The 12th man aren't the people that B word and moan about everything on this site. The 12th man are the fans that attend all the games, every year, wether the Bills are in the hunt or not. Do not fire the 12th man, fire the arm chair/monday morning quarterback!!!!
  13. Your right he probably didn't rape her. But he should have passed on her, oh that's right he doesn't know how to pass.............
  14. He also out shot the rest of his TEAM, 46 - 42........
  15. I was including free throws for effect, but 46 is still over a shot a minute (he sat out for 6).
  16. 65 attempt, now thats unbelievable. That's well over a shot a minute!!!
  17. I agree, like i said i wanted Sherman. Especially because he most likely would have brought Bill Bates for Defense and we wouldn't have needed a strong OC because Sherman is offensive minded. Now we are going to have to hire an unknown or at least unproved OC, that scares me!!
  18. the majority of this post is stating that Sherman would have been the better hire. so i stated that IF there is that big of a difference, it could be overcome with talent. I would like to have seen MS as well, but it's not going to happen. so, let's get some good talent in here and see what happens.
  19. Dude, all I'm saying is that if there is that much of a difference between Sherman and DJ it can be overcome with talent. I think youyr getting too much wind over in Chi-town....
  20. Doesn't matter who coaches this team if we don't acquire some play makers. Marv wasn't a great coach, he was a good coach with great talent. Let's get some talent and maybe DJ can get them all to play nice together and win some games!!!!
