  1. Matt and I have our flights booked already. Had to fly in to Toronto again. The "plan ahead" reward seats for Buffalo weren't available. Now we just need game tix in the lower bowl.
  2. Isn't it heartening that he "chose" to die in his own bed rather than in the hospital connected to all kinds of tubes and surrounded by strangers. This old stubborn Italian man wanted to leave this world with his dignity intact. Good for him! And good for him that you were there at the end. Letting go will be much harder for you than it was for him. But perhaps you can find strength from all the prayers that are being sent your way. Diane
  3. I like being under the radar. And I prefer early games.
  4. Get a domestic short hair cat about a year old - female.
  5. It was absolutely amazing to see. The fireworks beforehand didn't mean much because it was already daylight. Video just doesn't do it justice. So glad I hauled my butt out of bed at 5am. It may well be the only chance I'll ever have to see something like that in person. I have no good memories of the structure - but I know how I'd feel if it were the Ralph I was watching - so I understood the emotion of the moment for all the CB fans who were around me.
  6. I gave up already. I just buy Buffalo Bills shirts. The money I've saved I put towards getting up to games.
  7. GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN Between 18 and 22, a woman is like Africa - half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful! Between 23 and 30, a woman is like Europe - well-developed and open to trade, especially for something of real value. Between 31 and 35, a woman is like Spain - very hot, relaxed, and convinced of her own beauty. Between 36 and 40, a woman is like Greece - gently aging, but still a warm and desirable place to visit. Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain, with a glorious and all-conquering past.. Between 51 and 60, a woman is like Israel - has been through war, doesn't make the same mistakes twice, and takes care of business. Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Canada - cool, self-preserving, but open to meeting new people. After 70, she becomes Tibet - wildly beautiful, with a mysterious past and the wisdom of the ages.... an adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge. THE GEOGRAPHY OF A MAN Between 1 and 80, a man is like Iran - ruled by nuts. THE END
  8. Try travelocity and expedia. It's kind of early for the summer specials though. There is such a thing as buying too soon.
  9. Damn - can't imagine what that must be like for Eric. I'm so sorry Harriett.
  10. I wish someone could give me a serious, logical, intelligent reason why the US should NOT do a census. I'm willingly filling out my form, completely and correctly, and sending it in. Just don't get why it's a problem....
  11. The pilot light will stay lit even if your electricity goes out. I think the furnace (and the water heater) only need power for the electronc ignition (to turn the units on).
  12. Lived there for a year before moving to Dallas. I really liked it....especially the downtown area.
  13. But the Dallas announcers who were at the game did say at the end...Thank you to friendly Buffalo. Nice touch.
  14. They actually showed the fight on TV! Awesome.
  15. Yep. And I'm not Canadian. But I really like the anthem.
  16. Well said....I wish Josh well. Another under-utilized, under appreciated, workhorse, TEAM player who had great character, kept his mouth shut and did what was asked of him. Hopefully for him...he will have the same opportunity that Jabari Greer did after he was let go. I will not miss Mr. "I won't catch it unless it hits my numbers" Owens.
  17. No, and don't they always have snow before Thanksgiving? I don't think the weather was a factor. He was probably just trying to come up with a reason without saying that he was looking for a better offer.
  18. John: Love your Avatar! You been going through my photo albums again?
  19. That is wonderful news!!! Not sure if it's the same as stopping smoking, but if you are an alcoholic you know that you can NEVER have even one drink. I know that I can never ever have a cigarette. But even after 10 years, I sometimes yearn for one. At this point, it's a decision. And I pray that you will continue to make the right one.
  20. I'd cross it off my Bucket list and die happy.
  21. Actually both - sick in a good way because he probably has an awesome body. But sick that women would buy the mag that would feature a dog torturer as their centerfold. If I still had a cat, I'd buy the mag and use it for kitty litter. And please don't start flaming me with all that "he's paid his price" stuff. In my mind...there is never enough payment for what he did. I think it's on an equal par with child abuse. Animals and children are dependent and can't ever fight back.
